Title: Cardinal metaphors to remember when investing/trading
Post by: oriontab on August 11, 2018, 11:52:15 AM
Whether you in invest(Hodl) or you (day) trade, here are two rather hilarious quotes you should always remember
"In Investing, always remember that Rome was not built in a day"
"In Trading, always remember  that some cities were unfortunately destroyed in a day"
 Be cautious.

(I didn't add the name of any city so as respect sensitivity of such issues)

Good point.
New people coming in and investing in crypto currencies are becoming impatient. They think it will be that fast just because bitcoin shoots at a 4 digit number in just a manner of time.
Now, they wait it too in just weeks or maybe months. When they see just a little bear market they begun to panic without even thinking what  they really invested their money for or how long should it really take.

It is one sad event since the bull of market of crypto but it is the truth. People aint like this before.

indeed it is true that in investing we need a very long time in getting great results as well as building a Rome city, but in daily trading we always want to get results as quickly as possible, but not as easy as that to do.

"Invest only what you can afford to lose".

"Do not put your egg in one basket."

"Do not be greedy."

This is the sayings that I always remember and put in my mind whenever I make a trade or invest on programs online. We know that market is volatile and anytime, it will crash or lost its value. There are many others metaphor but this above really guide me. Hope others can share their guiding thoughts in trading here.
