Yeah I don't think there is a problem as such, as in Netcoin has never forked or anything like that, but it would make things a lot smoother and it takes away the edge that multipools have. So I think it makes it fairer.

I have had a go with it and it appears to work really well. So a nice addition to Netcoin.

Yeah to be honest we are not vocal enough, but that will change, we're always busy though, you can believe that. We just normally do our work on skype as it is more convenient. But yeah I can see why people would get the opinion we are inactive.

I have to agree with you, the only thing that has let us down up to this point is our advertising to be honest, we haven't really done any. We've just been busy working away getting everything in order really, there is still much work to be done.

If anyone would like to lend a hand then the best thing I think would be to contact stores and services and enquire about getting us added. We are on coinpayments but a payment processor is another thing we need to look at.

Another way is by spreading the word I guess, help us get more talk time and we'll keep working away bringing bigger and better things to the table. :)

@irond... Hey glad you are happy with our work so far, we have still got a long way to go and a lot to prove but we'll get there, we're currently making a new official pool for Netcoin since smalltimeminer has decided to leave pool operating.

As for the logo it was Joe Jones. It is a lovely piece and we're very proud of it too. I think you could argue it is one of the best if not thee best out there.

Anyway we'll keep you all updated as soon as the pool is live, should be the next couple of days, the pool will be ddos protected and run on some nice equipment. It's getting installed as we speak.

@ meee:  Yeah man I'd say NET has thee best logos out there. When you guys get that pool up and running I'll be sure to mine on it. What a shame smalltimeminer stop supporting NET. Once the KGW kicks in I think new pools will start making an appearance, as will more miners. I will try to stay posted and will give my hashes to your pool. Keep up the good work guys!!

Smalltimeminer didn't stop supporting NET, they shut down all their pools due to constant ddos attacks and so that is why we went with a server that has protection, so it should be great for everyone to have a reliable netcoin pool. And yeah Gravity well will do wonders I think.

We look forward to seeing all you guys in the new pool, just waiting on the server being installed at the moment but soon as that is in we'll get to work! :)

Yup! Client updated! Was there a problem?

Not so much a problem, it is just that multipools can play havok with difficulty from time to time, the gravity well will all but eliminate this issue as the difficulty adjusts every block.

We need some volunteers to get the hash rate up again so that we can find blocks closer to the 1 minute mark. Please join a Netcoin pool (listed on the original post) or solo mine and help Netcoin get to block 218500 in a timely manner. Your help would be appreciated :)

It's hashing very nicely and we're on a ddos protected dedicated server. But please be aware that it is a test and things could go wrong. I will more than likely install a block finder bonus right now too. Let's say 100 NET per block. I'll get on that.

Still can't decide which house I'm gonna buy when NET blows up.

Has anyone noticed that coinwars.com seems to have bad information about netcoin?

They are currently showing the difficulty as 4.6 when according to the client it is 11.94.

So they have Netcoin at the top of the profitability list, when in reality it should be much further down.

I am running client version 1.2.0.0.

Thoughts?  Am I missing something here?

Hmmm could be they are on the wrong wallet, there was a recent mandatory update. I will contact them and make sure they have updated.

The reverse trend has started strong. Jumped from 250 to 266 in a matter of minutes. I dont have mch BTC but if you do this can easily get a lift to 500 in 24 hours.

Accumulation period is concluding. Looks like it hit a hard support line at 250 and it is bouncing back. No sellers now and difficulty is set so that its not profitable to mine at this time, therefore very little new coins are hitting the market.

This will be a nice ride. Not to the moon, but it will be a nice steady profit IMO.

Yes the community is great.

The best part about NETCOIN is first off its name, its ZERO pre-mined that the coin does not have a "theme" its not just to buy coffee, buy GPU, its not about an iOS game, or people of Auroraland, neight is it tied to an internet MEME or Mr. Satoshi.

Its basically a COIN to do transactions online. PERIOD. No colors, themes etc attached to it.

That's one thing I like about it, sadly other members of the public like the hype about a coin with a dog on it or a coin for a specific country.

I will carry on mining NET as part of my coins of choice.

Netcoin seems attracted to the LTC upwards trend.

Yes historically it has been tied to LTC, some exhanges like BTER only have NET/LTC actually so the new gains in LTC will definitely help it gain its previous support levels.

Well I guess its rising slowly against the BTC.

VERY thinly traded ready for a huge gap up. If a small 1 BTC investor takes a note of this and comes in with a buy order it could practically double the price of this with a single buy order. It will wipe all the sell orders out. Disclaimer: I have 10,000 Net coins and in the process of buying about 50k more as I convert coins.

Mining is not so profitable (even LTC is better) mainly because the price is low. Thats why Im mining other stuff and just buying this one. It will take a long time to mine enough to make it worth. No one seems to be wanting to sell anymore, I guess all holders know this is a reversal point.

Now the question is, if the investor who come in and start buying, are they greedy enough to stay for the long term 1,000+ Satoshi? Or they will jump out at 500? This was trading at 4,000 Satoshi in just January.

Now #1 coin to mine on Cryptsy. This coin will be a good hold for when block halving comes in a few days.

It may drop a day before the halving just like last time, be warned! :P

This is at such a low point that I doubt anyone would sell that hard. This is a hard rock bottom for this coin. This is one of those old coins I would put in line wiht LTC, BTC and VTC. This is from before the altcoin scamcoin madness of Feb 2014.

It is possible that a few sellers are waiting for this blockhalving push, if they don't see a signe of upwardstrend they panic and fill buyorders and after that the price jumps 2-10 fold.

I think as long as we fly under the radar like we are without getting much attention here, we will be fine. If we get lots of attention here on this board, tons of people mining it then it gets out of hand.

So far its been doing a small steady push up, that's better than the typical jumps like LTC which crashes in within minutes after.

I have 8 connections but I leave my wallet open almost at all times. I don't have a conf file neither. It might just take a little while to get more connections.  With a fresh start of my wallet on another pc I got 3 connection in less than 5 mins

Is there a problem with this coin? I've tried transferring netcoin from Cryptsy to Coins-e but its been 2 weeks and it still doesnt reflect to my coins-e account. Then when I checked the status of netcoin on their website it says its under maintenance??

Btw... only 8 days till block reward halving.

It isn't a problem with the coin, we recently forked the coin to include the kimoto gravity well. From what I understand coins-e has been unreachable of late, not sure why that is. But yeah it is most likely a case that they did not update the wallet.

It is down to them to do that, we did inform them and we have tried to contact them since for other matters but to no avail.

Hopefully they are on the ball now and updating, when they do your coins will arrive safe and sound.

Looks like the trend has now reversed. We are down to 160 Satoshi and there are huge sell orders. A big push is in the works to crush this coin to sub 1 Satoshi levels.

I am slowly starting to liquidate out.

So sad a great coin like this that was soaring above 4,000 Satoshi in January could lose all its prestige just because of a brand new "jumping all over the place", "scam/get-rich-quick" looking website with distorted photos of some people who don't dare to share their real name. You guys seriously killed this coin.

Have you been watching NET? It started at 164 yesterday now around 275-300 range. This is explosive. Taking a breather, most will jump ship and will start rising again.

Old coin, no one has lots of dump anymore. Block halved. This is truly a good coin with a great name.

We are slowly realizing the power of block halving the way it should be, not the way DOGE did it. Now we are going to see how reduction in supply of a coin will make its value actually RISE not DROP like DOGE did.

I think NET and DOGE will be the only ones standing behind BTC. Even LTC is losing its luster in my opinion.

No one CryptoCoin wallets don't use OpenSSL. Only last version of BitCoin use it for some merchant futures.
Other dev just compile wallet with new version of OpenSSL library, because it's was made by BitCoin.

i think if we can translate POW to POS, that's will be very nice.

as netcoin has no hard coded nodes at the moment i believe you have to rely on addnodes. these are the last successful connections i had from a couple of days ago. rest assured at the release of the next client this will be addressed with some hard codes atleast as there are a few permanent wallets around.

is there a problem with the blockchain of netcoin?
I am mining in a pool and suddenly it stopped solving blocks for hours.
there was also a problem with cryptsy. I sent a deposit and it took hours. I could see the coins but they were held for confirmation.

Sometimes when a multipool jumps on the coin the difficulty will skyrocket, when the multipool jumps off the difficulty is still high until the next block is solved. If the hash rate is low it will take a while to solve the next block.
