Title: Not only Bitcoin, Blockchain is also quite potential for agriculture
Post by: deviniter on August 14, 2018, 04:21:37 AM
The low efficiency of the distribution chain between farmers to consumers also results in farmers still having to face losses in terms of post-harvest quality degradation by 20% annually.

These challenges, among others, stem from data inequality and information inequality related to capacity, market and financing for all players in the agricultural sector.

The development of blockchain technology can be a solution to the real challenges facing Indonesia in this sector. That was aimed at by HARA, the first blockchain project to create positive social impacts in Indonesia.

Blockchain is simply a data structure that cannot be changed, can only be added. Every data from the blockchain is connected to each other. So if there is a change in one block of data, it will affect the next data.

By using blockchain as the technology behind decentralized data exchange in the food and agriculture sectors, HARA seeks to overcome the problem of availability of asymmetric information, which prevents businesses in the supply chain from being more efficient and effective.

Seems like you're translating this news (https://inet.detik.com/cyberlife/d-4141401/tak-hanya-bitcoin-blockchain-juga-potensial-untuk-pertanian). Am I right?

BTW, educating the farmers might be the hardest part for this project to succeed. Most farmers in Indonesian still use traditional agriculture method. Corruption and lack of trust toward government also need to be addressed. The blockchain is useless when the government cut the adoption by corruption.

Yes for sure blockchain can enhance and promote the activities of the farmers all they need is to be properly educated about blockchain and how the technology can assist them to become more effective and efficient famers

Yes and also Blockchain can be useful in many other industries, therefore developers are looking for innovative ways to implement Blockchain technology in various industries

Yes. Blockchain is a new trend and we can not only use it to make cryptocurrency better but also can use it to develop in other industries. We can do many good and useful works using it.

Blockchain might be great technology for even very unrelated fields but if you create a token and make an ico than it will be shit  :)

Of course it is possible. The market is now very much dispersed and so bitcoin alone cannot tackle all the sides rapidly. So block chain can be a good potential for this sectors. This will make the crypto currency more popular.

Yes it is true that the blockchain can be used in any sector of any industry. This is indeed one of the greatest inventions we have in the market.

Block chain has been used in various other sectors even though it was developed the famous developer who invented bitcoins as it has more advantages in the block chain technology many Information technology companies have started using the block chain technology and insurance sector has also started off with block chain technology as block chain technology transactions are clear and transparent like pure water and no one has the authority to alter the block chain technology.

While the problems and solutions you suggest might be real and helpful, I don't see why or how 'blockchain' would help any more than regular technology such as distributed databases, asynchronous cryptography ect.

Yes, the number of projects on agriculture is very small. It has not been very successful in years. A few powerful projects that can come after that can change everything.

Blockchain has a wide range of use rather than only in cryptocurrency. It’s just a matter of time before the whole world realizes its potential. There is a reason why many experts believe that crypto currency is the future. Many institutions will be implementing blockchain technology to increase efficiency and make works easier.

"It's a great news for us that the blockchain technologies offer good financial instruments to
provide farmers. And these technologies also help farmers to avoid risk. I think blockchain
technology will change the whole agriculture world."

"This is one blockchain use case that might actually help solve some real world problem. With
the level of human ingenuity there is no reason why hunger and food scarcity is still so
pervasive. This while nearly half of food produced rots between production and market and
many true producers can not access resources at the same time as a lot of resources get
wasted by being routed incorrectly. Hoping to see some serious development and progress
in this direction this lifetime."

It is undeniable that blockchain is beneficial in each field. If it is possible to make the farmers more educated about the usefulness of blockchain then it will surely result in bringing success in agriculture.

Glad to know about the project of blockchain in the agriculture sector of Indonesia. I hope other countries will too pay attention to make more use of blockchain in agriculture and will be able to make this sector extended and profitable.

Why not try it. Introduce new technologies in any structures, even agricultural ones. Lish would benefit your state.

We all know that all the crypto currencies available in the market are quite potential one and all these currencies have a very huge potential that it is providing employment to millions of people around the world and those nations who has legalised crypto in their countries are now experiencing a great boost in the development of their nation so no doubt that these currencies are very much potentiate and thus they are even threat to the Fiat currency available in the market and this would be very lucky if bitcoin could also use in agriculture field.

Point well delivered. As much as the blockchain technology is ideal to deliver the much needed data in an immutable stage, the hands the ply on it remains far from being incorruptible. We might simply find the developed technology at the wrong hands for manipulation since farmers are well not into tech.

Educating the farmers might be a colossal act in proportion, and knowing farmers of the old, all they ever care of is a good harvest, they would much more appreciate technologies that would enhance their crop or speed up their farming routines.
