Make me an offer I can't refuse, then don't get upset when I tell you what others are offering to get their hands on one.

Mintage will remain low as there is not a sufficient amount of NastyFans seats available for sale.  I definitely won't be minting more than 10% of the total number of seats on this round.  Price is rising literally by the minute, but a good estimate would be 1/2 a lambo.

One of these will be raffled, im sure of it!  :o

Want to make a bet on that? :P  I can promise you that I will not be raffling one of these beauties.

As far as I am aware, this is the first ever solid .9999 platinum crypto coin.  Even outside of crypto, I'm told this should be extremely rare, if not completely unique.  The tooling for creating these rounds didn't exist and had to be paid for and created just for these rounds.  While this will likely open the door for future 4oz platinum releases (I'm told that Chris Duane is in talks to use the tooling already), being the first and using .9999 instead of .9995 platinum will surely make this a historical coin release for a variety of reasons.

It had better be.  Sunshine Minting was chosen to create these blanks for my mint due to their incredible quality and willingness to create a whole new product to satisfy my needs.  No expense was spared.

Though im admittedly not the biggest OG fan, I will openly admit that I admire your follow through to push forth the creation of an entirely new round. Had no idea this much effort/unique nature existed in this project. Bravo.  Cant wait to see more photos.

Given the extreme efforts made to try and discredit my name for the benefit of some shady actors on this forum, it is understandable that some who haven't personally interacted with me might succumb to the effects of their misguided slander campaign.  I do appreciate your acknowledgement of my follow through, as the path to get where I am today was not easy and involved a great deal of work in the face of ever-growing criticism.  While a 100 BTC round has become out of reach, it makes me extremely happy to finally be able to produce the first platinum crypto coin after patiently waiting and working towards this goal for more than 6 years.

Personally, I would like to see a 1oz platinum coin with 100 BTC in it.

Reading about the US minting a trillion dollar coin and thought I’d remind everyone who did it first (kidding).  :D

Honestly though, the idea that a coin could be valued at a trillion dollars and be made out of platinum says something about the rarity of platinum and the future inflation expectations of our officials even if the valuation is utterly ridiculous.

It’s been a while since this thread made an appearance so this bump is for the newcomers.

Og: You beat me to the joke about the $1 Trillion platinum coin.

Maybe BigTimeSpagetti should make a $1T coin the next mockery coin creation.

Congrats by the way. Very cool addition to the physical bitcoin universe.

So the price of this is, 4 oz of plat plus 4k donation, and than you have to have 1k seats which are around $30 a piece.

So just under 40k? Give or take.

I feel like this lost money because you had to spend so much to get it created.

Let's run the numbers.

The $4,000 donation was the total amount donated from all the coins and at the time this thread was released seats were closer to $13 a piece and not the $50.90 that you can buy the cheapest seat for on the auction today.  Platinum was around $800/oz and not the $1000 it is today...  So the cost of the coin was around $17,500 initially.  Today with the current prices of NastyFans seats and platinum (& excluding the donation) it would cost you $54,900.  They are also holding $3,979.26 in BTC with another $56.04 held for distribution for a total current estimated value of $58,935.30 giving a total return of 236% in around 3 years.  Not what I would call losing money, but this is just using current values and no guarantee of a sale price.
