Sr. & Experienced Members are requested to suggest some "do and don'ts" for Newbie's so that They can Follow and Maintain the Platform Environment Healthy.

Always do a little research on the project that you will invest in. And never go for posts which tells you to provide your personal information.

One of the first rules to follow is to stay on topic and post in the appropriate board or sub-board. You made this post in the following category:

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Altcoin Discussion

but it has nothing (or very little) to do with Altcoin discussion. So my suggestion to you is to find the right board and move this thread there.

Do not get influenced by fake marketing ads promising you big rewards on a very easy task. Always research the project that you are trying to join or you plan to invest. Start slowly until you gain enough confidence to invest big.

You have to read on what cryptocurrency is because most of your contribution will be in that direction and you also have to make good post.


It should be well fitted in beginners board and I think that section will see more response to his enquiry.

Don't invest based on other's recommendations, always do your own research and due diligence. Always assume that any project can be a scam unless you determine otherwise. Trust no one. And every newbie needs to buy a hardware wallet and use it whenever possible

What should a young participant in the forum do? I think that you should try not to rush to the conclusions that you read in some branch, because this is the opinion of one or several people, your opinion may differ and this is normal, just need to be able to listen to people, emphasizing the facts.

Don't listen to newbies.

Do not trust others, obly trust youraelf. Never transact peer to peer, and keep your private keys to yourself

Experience often comes from your own practice, not someone tells you that many experiences are due to the fact that you have been cheated and failed in investment. Only after you have experienced many failures can you see the traps in this market and then avoid them.

always start your research with github. if theres none - very likely its a waste of resources 8)

there is a newbie guide in this forum, they can be found everywhere which you can see for yourself the things you should do and dont's. those were the guides presented by moderators, and those we call an expect in this field.

Sometimes ads don't guarantee the quality of the project, We can see the prices that are owned after entering a market do not look cool :D

The most important thing for anyone in the market is to see the demand of the coins. Price level will fluctuate, but it is the demand that keeps the coins alive and our investment should be based on that.

I don't think it's going to make much sense for newbie to do this, but it might be more helpful for newbie to introduce the history of bitcoins to new community members and familiarize them with the encrypted world.

You have to be reminded that you don't need to trust here, when you want to transact you need a reputable escrow (a trusted third party) and not a conniving escrow . With a reputable escrow, you are sure to be safe with your money.

The most important thing that you should first have is patience. The crypto market is naturally volatile and as such you should be ready especially during market dumps. Avoid panic selling particularly with such situations once you have already token holdings. Dumps are just temporary so there's no need to panic to also avoid regrets. The biggest regret that most people here have experienced is selling during the market downfalls.

You can easily get some do and don'ts in the help section of this platform. Add value and contribute meaningfully to each forum,  that pretty much the most important

Never participate in KYC airdrops/bounties/ICO's and potentially have your identity stolen.  Many noobs are drawn in with big promises and make foolish mistakes like giving up your personal security. 

Always do a little research on the coins or projects. Do not go into the hype and take decisions based on a hunch.

Newbies, have to do little

All they need to do is the right thing which is focus on their involvement, avoid stories that touch, trade wisely and confidentially keep their private keys.

Avoid FUD, FOMO, AND greedines..
and newbies should always do their own rigid and thorough researches too

Ignore all of the recommendations of ICO investing from low ranked members (and even the high ranked ones, to be sure) as the majority of them have their own agendas/interests in recommended projects and most of those are pure shitcoins. Also be careful to not fall for a phishing link, always access your web wallets from a bookmarked link and not some xy URL provided from the third party.

Before posting any questions or articles make sure you search the forum so that you might find the answers you are seeking for. Also, keep your discussions related to cryptos and blockchain. Never behave rude with your fellow members and don’t provide false information in the forum. also go check out the forum rules.

Newbie should learn more about this market, some note you can pay attention:
1. Scammer:
- many scammer if you join ICO (send them BTC,ETH.. will has chance by token with lower price)
- scam ICO: read careful about project before investing
- scam bounty: read careful before join bounty work, otherwise you can get nothing
2. Trader : ....need time and can learn on youtube, internet..

For a newbie do's are to research the market, gain knowledge about how it works after that one must to stay updated with the market prices. Don'ts are not to start panicking in difficult situation, not to trust every ICO before having a good reference.

The thing that must did is to keep trying to make the good posts in order that your rank is raise and also learning the crytocurrency world well because the cryptocurrency world was full of risks. if you want to study this forum well, then you will get a lot of information about cryptocurrency, and you will know what to do and not.

- don't hesitate to change your plans along the way (for example if you bet on a project and the market doesn't seem favourable, I think it's best to accept your losses and go elsewhere)

Actually in this market there are lots of Scams and fraud so you need to do some research based on the projects that is true or not and don’t provide any personal info.

do HOLDING, dont do panic selling, also do not buy on all time high. always book profits and buy the dips too. dont be too much greedy. patience is the key for crypto

some newbies i see they  become frustrated when the price goes down. they didn't really understand what they have to now. i suggest try to understand the market properly and don't be frustrated when  price goes down.

Do: study a lot, control risks, don't go all-in, diversify, balance life, try to handle stress etc
Don't: believe anyone (no one really knows wtf is going on).

Cryptomarket is not an easy field for the newbies. So, as a newbie, he/she should understand the market and use some strategies to invest and getting profit. Don’t invest at first before understanding the market.

For the newbies, my suggestion is that they should analyze the market at first then they should invest. It will be easy for them to understand the market.

Trust no one! Research first, scammers everywhere - even faking an ICO e-mails, telegram, many pretend an ICO experts. Try to use big crypto exchanges, no p2p. You invest on your own risk, don't blame others for mistakes, this market is very volatile.

BitcoinTalk is a goof source of info, but really, read all carefully.

You can do some easy jobs first. Like doing bounty works will save your investments. Do some research on successful currencies and projects. Learn to differentiate between legits and scams.

Actually if the beginners can read the post that the moderator has made then they will understand the right and wrong actions.

You can bounty projects. They are good for newbies. It will help you to earn and learn at the same time without any investment. Them after gaining some experience and money you can go for advanced tradings.

You can looking for at altcoin discussion and search about which one best ico for investment, never joined ico investment without have all of ico procedure like website secure and whitepaper. You have read all of their data before joining ico investment.

I think as a newbie the must do thing is doing a lot of study. Gaining knowledge and building own strategies is the best thing for this crypto world. And yes don't rely on people here. Do your own research.

Do some research to find " true " information you need and ask if you don't understand. Don't break any rules because rules create to built powerful system/ ecosystem, obey that. Last thing I want to say is never do something that you don't understand ( gambling method ), it will make you stress and bankrupt. Keep going and good luck to you.

First , I would suggest that you should have to educate yourself and learn more information about cryptocurrency before you plan to get involve in doing investment. Always remember that knowledge is the key to become successful in your undertakings. Make a research about an ICO that you are planning to invest or join in signature bounty campaign wherein you need to check the project platform if it is feasible to gain profit. Also consider the ICO ratings, the bounty manager handling the project and lastly the composition of the team members of the project.

Well as a newbie, first time first you need to learn and understand more about blockchain and crypto currency, once you understand that then you can start to apply what you have learn into action

There are many thing which newbie need to do and many thing that's need to avoid. So if exprienced help them by suggestion they will be do well with it.

Read a lot learn a lot
If for investment, start looking for information, news or anything related to the investment you want, whether it's a coin or an ICO project
Never be tempted by the profit that other people make because you are not them, everyone has different basics
For a bounty, you must be diligent in reading and obeying all applicable rules

Well let me give you some advice :
1. Do your own research before investing or participate on ICO.
1. learn everything on this forum, just google what you looking for and add "bitcointalk" at the end of the keyword.
3. Don't invest your money more than you can't afford to lose.
4. Investing in cryptocurrency is very risky, you should be prepared to lose your entire investment.
5. Don't store your coin on exchange, use a safe wallet.
6. Don't give your personal identity to anyone.
7. Don't invest in cloud mining or HYIP/ponzi scheme.
8. Don't waste your time participating in dusty project/ICO.
9. Ask the community, they will help you.

As a newbie, you may research more, study the discussions which look important to you, research atleast a month or two to be experienced in discussing any topics.
You shouldn't post without having experience, post irrelevant comments in any discussions, start to post promotional ads which won't give you proper follow-ups.

it's possible to give a sensible advice for beginners: to carry out all training on small amounts. this will prevent significant damage, but still bring benefits.

I think the biggest problem with newbies is too much these same questions, i mean all new people here do not do any research on forum and add this same questions which answer can find in first page of forum

if you want to know here in forum just focus on how you enlighten your knowledge about cryptocurrency, do not engage in any scam actions, do not engage in any unuseful post and make a post always that is related to the topic.

If you were asking for a bounties do's and dont's you can see it in their rules but since you are a newbie have a patience because newbie does not have a space for any bounty campaign or any campaign.

My list of don'ts.
1. Never chase pump and dump.
2. Do not believe in stranger advise.
3. Never buy coins without doing proper research.
4. Don't fall into scams.

My list of do's.
1. Keep your private keys safe, if possible buy a hardware wallet.
2. Always DYOR before trading.
3. Invest time in learning TA and FA.
4. Understand market sentiments.

If your topic is referring to the bitcointalk forum, the do and don't should be; always adhere strictly to rules and regulation so that you won't get permanent ban or temporary ban. As this is very important. Then if it is crypto general,  make sure you make research on any investment before jump in.

don't listen just on person. you must search lots of site and specialist etc..

I see that there are a lot of people suggest you don't invest without research. I would like to say that it is better not to invest in ICO at all now. Coins that are on the market, you should research before investing in them, as you should understand what you are investing.

Before involving inthis crypto, you should do much research about which you will be invest and much reading about the ICO or the project. Now there are many resource discussing about Crypto, but you should be smart in collecting the information.
