Title: What happen to [glow] in signatures?
Post by: monsterer on February 26, 2014, 11:07:43 PM
Hi guys,

Just noticed the glowing background in sig is gone? It hasn't changed, so the glow must have stopped working?

Works ok in post body, but the sig is not glowing.

Any ideas?

See other topic:
Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

This is an improvement. I'm annoyed when newbies flash gigantor 72pt sigs.

At least I advertise my own site. ;D

i think its a little unfair because all the owner of all signature campaign will increase the requirements of activity to join

am i right?

Probably, but it's also unfair that newbs spamming rubbish everywhere could possibly get signature deals banned for everyone. This is just a compromise. Most signature deals require 50 activity to participate in now any way in an attempt to cut down newbs signing up just to abuse the deals.

you got a point but i hope that they still stick with the 50 or 50+ activity to be able to join

I also noticed something changed with the signatures.
Thanks for sharing this post, didn't find it in the other topic.

Only time will tell. Deals will change their terms and rates to reflect the new changes individually. Still no update from Stunna/PrimeDice yet though.
