If the SEC approves do you think it will have a global impact on other financial regulators? Will this possibly pave the way for an explosion in bitcoin value? Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I think they will not, SEC has disapproved Bitcoin ETF application many times and they will do that. Of course Bitcoin price will increase if the ETF approved but this will turn BTC into a digital asset but not a digital currency as Satoshi Nakamoto's purpose when creating it.

Right now, I don't really think SEC is going to approve any ETF proposal in the future. There is still manipulation existing in the market and SEC wants a ETF proposal that doesn't get affected by such moves in the market. Moreover, the idea of ETF is very different than what it has been known to us since Bitcoin's introduction. A lot of the crypto enthusiasts also don't want ETF to get approved because of that.

Yeah there is high chance for approval but we have to wait and see if it gets approves in september or they will delay it for couple of more months before approval, the thing is sooner or later it will get approved and long term holders will be meeting in moon with their expensive btc :p

My bet is they delay it again until Q1 2019. Either way, there will be a bull run for the September 30th decision.

Can no one predict the SEC's acceptance of CBOE's Bitcoin ETF? The only thing that could be done at the moment is to wait for the SEC's decision, which will have a huge impact on the exchange rate of the entire cryptocurrency market by the end of 2018. And I very much hope the SEC will Accept the establishment of Bitcoin ETF.

to be honest I am not too sure they will approve it, some evidence about that is, the event which was postponed to September, which was supposed to be completed in August, actually retreated until September, some reasons SEC resigned the decision that the ETF was a re review. this because so many bad things in crypto that was become an issue , kind money laundry etc

It will but i still doubt about that. There was a little chance for bitcoin ETF to be approved by SEC. It will not give a lot of impact to the bitcoin price. You can see that how the futures contract of bitcoin works and then it will give you a lot of clue about what has already happened with the market. There was a lot of manipulation.

There is no certainty as to what side of the coin this decision will fall and a lot of people tend to think the Bitcoin ETF decision will be a positive one, however I believe one has to be ready for the impact of both the negative and positive results.
A positive result will most likely be followed with a bull run of the highest magnitude this year, while the negative results may lead to a more terrible crash of the market.

Why is the so called SEC approval always being postponed whenever the time for the decision comes. Sometimes I see it as possible market manipulation. They have actually successes in dictating the market structure for traders and we have to play to their hands.

I think that the whole movement around bitcoin for the last half year-year has a purely manipulative component. Therefore, everything will go according to the scenario that is played before us.

Bitcoin ETF was delayed by SEC from august to september and this mean SEC take seriuosly to give decision will be approved or denied. They dont want to give wrong decision.  Some country regulated Bitcoin and many big company accepted Bitcoin for payment so i think SEC will approved it.

as far i know bitcoin has already applied for it many times and unfortunately they didn't approve it so I think they will do the same again but we shouldn't be worried about this cause it will not going to effect the bitcoin price or the market situation

I don't think they will but nothing can be ensure cause the processing is still going, but I think it is better not to approve it cause with the ETF approval the total concept of the bitcoin will change and it can cause a problem for the investors

if sec approve the cboes bitcoin ETF it will be very good sign for its. it will be more secure and trusted . it will be make more profit and people are increasing investment here. its future are more bright.

Let's be hopeful that SEC will approved the bitcoin ETF. September will be the moment of truth for bitcoin and surely no matter what the SEC decision it will have a big impact on the price. Hoping it will be positive and if that happens all alt coins will have a massive pump of price along side with bitcoin.

i think it is very good sign for cboes bitcoin. if sec are approval the cobes bitcoin ETF it will be make more security and people increasing their trust. it is more reliable than before that's why people are increasing their investment.

Getting an approval from SEC is a tricky thing. So if the CBOE ETF get approved bitcoin will rally to a new all time high but if the ETF is rejected we might see a dump the probability of which is higher considering how earlier approval decisions has gone.

Sec has been harsh to bitcoin since the start of its campaign for being a global digital currency but until now there are still many users of bitcoin as a method of payment or as a digital currency. There's no guarantee that the sec will approve the bitcoins etf, I think it won't even have a major effect on bitcoin's price and volatility.

If sec approve the COBEs bitcoin ETF it is very potential and probable than before. it will make more trust and reliable. people increasing their trust about it and they also interest to increasing their investment. it is very good sign for it.

If SEC approve bitcoin then the value of bitcoin will definitely increase. But, I think if that happens people will then afraid to invest on bitcoin and ultimately it will be a useless crypto as no one will have the courage to buy it.

Crypto is so "decentralized" and so "independent" vs SEC which is so "strict" and so "conservative"...
Imo, some big whales are still buying on the dips, and when this big purchase is completed, we will hear positive news from SEC and see BTC on 20k!

If SEC will approve so I think BTC will rapidly rise back to more than $10k in just a short time and it'll reach to new ATH price before the end of this year for sure :). But for now we still have to wait the decision from SEC about this case and so many predictions about SEC decision out there both good and bad predictions and so many guys became panic seller just because they read the bad predictions. LOL.

The approval will not be done, rather i perceive that it might be postponed till another year. If they do not approve it, the price of bitcoin will still skyrocket. I will just cross my hands and watch as things unfold.

I think SEC will approve EFT in future because btc took many step to approve it. I think btc will set eft such a way that Sec will definitely approve it. It’s just a matter of time.

As I think it is not, it is hard for the SEC to accept the BTC, because BTC is quite risky and difficult to manage, they are too complicated and if only a little careless we can lose BTC by hackers.

If the SEC does not approve the ETF, then nothing terrible will happen. There are investors who want to legalize the crypto market, go to CBOE and NYSE, they are not happy with trading on other exchanges, that's all. But the development of crypto will not stop. There are other regions where technology is developing and introducing.

I think if SEC accept CBOE's Bitcoin ETF then there will be an impact on global economic regulation. And this effect will come in the price of Bitcoin too and it is entirely my own opinion.

I’m very confident that they will approved ETF but I can’t control myself from thinking negative things. We badly need this so the market will start to grow again. Let’s all hope for the best today and keep your eyes on the market.

Even though SEC has decline to accept Bitcoin several times in the past but I'm not disappointed. It might happend and then bitcoin price will rise as we are hopping.

For me the only CBOE's Bitcoin ETF that's has any prospects of approval is the VanEck Bitcoin ETF and this is largely because VanEck intends on settling contracts with “physical” bitcoin (bitcoin actually owned to back the ETF). This is unlike Proshares that was playing around with leverage, on an already volatile asset, and is backed by Bitcoin futures.

It’s very hard to tell as they have rejected it few times but if they accept it than it will be a very good news for the users as the price is going to raise. Now we can only hope that they accept it as early as possible.

Yes, I think they will approve it. Bitcoin ETF is very necessary for Bitcoin to get mass adoption. As the Bitcoin is a digital currency that cannot be regulated, so the US security and exchange commission is hesitating to approve it.

When SEC will approve CBOE's Bitcoin ETF, the price of BTC would increase. In many cases, the digital asset would become the main asset and that was the vision of creating Bitcoin I guess.

If SEC approve yes it will have big impact, but I don't really see that much relevant to be hones. It's just another manipulation from media. It would be better to have crypto available at every corner which would help get cryptocurrencies mass adopted. With ETF's we might just raise in volume but that should be temporarly.

On all proposals or applications i do see would be worthy is the CBOE unlike on other specially the rejected ones and others who do line up which i do see an extra. CBOE isnt like on others which if this would be approved im somehow convinced this can give an effect but not a guaranteed.

We are waiting for such a good news. It is important for bitcoin to survive and people continue their interest in bitcoin. i think that bitcoin will become more popular and it ETF will get approved.

CBOE's Bitcoin EFT would be positive for the space but what people are looking for is the price action, I doubt it would have much impact on the price. The way CBOE's EFT would work is not going to be buying directly on the exchange. It would only make strong case for Bitcoin as an strong asset class

Given that the SEC has rejected it many time before, we are not that hopeful that it might get accepted this time. But if it does, it might bring the market back to its normal self a little bit.

There seems to be less possibility that it will get approved, given that the previous encounters were negative too. But it will be a good thing if it does get approved.

SEC still against with ETF but hope it will be accept but it will be take long time and that's need some improvemment for this.

So far I know the U.S securities and exchange commission(SEC) has made their decision postponed till September. And this decision is valid for five bitcoin related traded fund. Let’s wait till September and see what happens.

I think it will happen. CBOE looks really serious and solid and i think these guys have high chances. I hope it will happen soon!

At the moment, the SEC is very categorical, they say that bitcoin is too prone to manipulation, and unfortunately this is true. Let's hope and wait.

My opinion is that there is no possibility that the SEC will accept the Bitcoin ETF and now the SEC has denied all this. If the SEC accepts CBOE's Bitcoin ETF, then the cryptocurrency market will be controlled, and the coins will lose its real value because the control is unavoidable.

Securities and Exchange Commission still disapprove BTC ETF till sept. If BTC ETF will able to improve and fullfil SEC requirement then SEC will approve it. Then it will felt very useful effect on BTC because then BTC will be more reliable to many people.

All we are hearing from last few months is ETF approval for BTC. A lot has been published and speculated. SEC approval is not easy to come by. They weigh each pros and cons of this approval. Might be the ETF decision again be postponed.

I think it's not so simple with the cryptocurrencies - it's a game of nerves and big money, so it will last as long as possible! But sooner or later the cryptocurrencies will be approved and pour all their innovative power into the world of big economies - it is inevitable, like the fact that the sun rises in the east!

I think the SEC is currently manipulating this news. They probably bought bitcoins themselves a long time ago and make these throws of information. The accept the there is no, the postpone. Or on the contrary have not bought and just waiting for a suitable price. Eventually, they will pass the law.

Yes, various world players look to each other to see what precedents are set, why they are set, and if such precedents make sense in their own countries or geographical areas.  We have to pay attention to major events that have a tangible outcome for cryptocurrency price.  In 2014, it was Mt Gox and the dwindling interest after bitcoin's first halving.  In 2017 it was the momentum from the 2nd bitcoin halving combined with the explosion of Eth, smart contracts, and ICOs which made the perfect recipe for a surge of interest and cash.  2018 has been pretty boring.  2019 could be boring as well.  But eventually, bitcoin will halve again, ETFs will come, and another recipe for a price explosion can come as well.  If we see ETF and institutional entrance sprinkled in we may just see sustained price action with modest upward movement.  If it all happens at once and combines with bitcoin halving momentum... well... don't stand too close to the sun lol
