Found this article about how blockchain can tackle fraud in the seafood industry. It made me wonder, where else could the blockchain help to tackle fraud and help to prevent scams etc?

Blockchain being integrated into a national voting system for democratic countries would be nice to hear since it would prevent cheating during elections. It might not prevent fraud, but at least it will help determine who the people really voted. Also, a successful implementation of blockchain in national ID systems will greatly help in making identity fraud lesser.

I also agree with your point and I think it will be very helpful since you have to supply your information and probably if the use of KYC is used. ATleast, it will reduce the rate of cheating during polls and the rate of fraud will also reduce.

Oh, that's a great topic. Right now, a big number of failing ICO-s and scams have hurt blockchain reputation a little bit, I think. But, actually blockchain is something that can be used and is used for greater things. I'm working in accounting and I see blockchain as an awesome tool to prevent all sorts of scams, tax frauds etc. Transparency and automatization are keywords here.

I think this is a topic we should have more discussion on.

Luxury goods business is one area where blockchain implementation can definitely help to prevent scams.

In all sectors of our economic,  blockchain technology can help in solving the most dreadful human problem (fraud or scam) . Many of us get it difficult to invest into cryptocurrencies because of the fraudulent activity been promoted on the internet but if we study blockchain technology very well we would find out that it is transparent and decentralized.
If the banking system and the financial institutions we have can solve human problem and kick scam and fraud from it no one will be talking about blockchain technology in solving our financial problems but it cannot,  in fact the greatest fraud is been done in the banks andgovernments.

Fraud in the seafood industry, and this is generally possible now. In general, the seafarers cryptocurrency, I think the idea itself is utopian, not to mention the scammers.

Blockchain will help in some way to lessen the frauds and scams in the financial market, but please remember it will only lessen it as it will depend on the user to fully prevent the fraudulent activities as this kind of think is already a mind set and a behavior to the people that do it and they will always find ways and loopholes in the system scam people. So in short to prevent being scammed be wary in every transaction that you make.

since when blockchain did that thing ? as far as i know, blockchain is form of freedom in term of financial and it is a tool for us to upgrade our traditional financial system by using technology, lightening and fastening every transactions that we make.
plus do not forget that blockchain transaction is irreversible, which means it does not help you prevent any scam because once you send a money or coin. you will never get it back

Yes, but this is great. It gives you all the power, no middle-man, and no other than yourself to blame when you mess things up or fall for a scam.
