Where's the Beef coins?

Can't wait for Mark to come out and say he lost the keys or it shows up in the criminal proceedings. This is going to get ugly and quickly.

I seriously doubt the keys were lost. I'm willing to bet that he was trying to arbitrage to build up the reserves once the price dropped on his exchange but realized he couldn't do so quickly enough to recover 744,000 BTC.

I feel sorry for all of you who didn't have any assets on Gox.  This must only be one tenth as entertaining for you as it is for us.  I'll admit, my ticket to the show is very expensive.  But that makes it all the better to watch!

mark is an embarrassment to the bitcoin world as well as to the human race.
how fucking incompetent and just careless is he.
his intentions to do good and foster cryptocurrencies have in reality caused ruin to people around the world and will cause such a legal mess that it will go on for many years.

what an embarrassment that he is a part of our community.
worst tragedy to bitcoins to date.

bitcoin will survive. but wtf?!

in short karpeles moved the funds to an address even his employee's didnt know about and then set out to make plans on how to appear insolvent so that he would not have to repay.

there were a few scammers that abused the malleability by making support tickets to get double paid (lying about the first payment being received). but not to the extent of over 700k coins.

the over 700k coins were not 'hacked' or scammed out of karpeles control. thats just a story he wants you all to believe.

even after blocking withdrawals, he did not remove the feature to deposit, he continued to let people put funds in. this is pure theft.

and to everyone else that thinks an investor will buy up mtgox and repay everyone. this will not happen and here is why

1. mtgox reputation now has zero value
2. the website, brandname might be worth $10.. if that
3. 700kbtc loss = $420,000,000(at $600 a coin) mtgox is not worth that, compared to setting up a new exchange with fresh and sleek code.
4. MTGox does not have all the necessary licences to be a world serving exchange, which would limit any new investor outside of japan.
