You are one of many trying to find the answer but let me give you an advice. Go to the search engine and write Merit, mark the option to search in the subject only and arrange the results by the latest first.

You will find many threads and probably the right formula for you.

Keep in mind that merit itself has no value If you are breaking some of the rules here and get tagged or banned. Read the rules and the sticky threads in this section.

There are lots of posts regarding this mentioned on this forum. You can check those posts/threads by typing "merit" inside the search option. You will find all merit related posts will show up. Being a newbie there are certain limitation while you search, basically there is a time limit between searches.

Or else you can also directly use google search for checking out all the threads that are related to merits. Few examples are mentioned below which will help find threads/posts that only exists in BTT forum.

Code:
a) merit:bitcointalk
b) what is merit:bitcointalk
c) how to earn merit:bitcointalk

I can tell you the quickest and most effective way, but this may be a violation of the rules, you may be able to get what you want through a transaction!
Stop giving suggestions that are against the forum rules, it is not helping.

I can tell you the quickest and most effective way, but this may be a violation of the rules, you may be able to get what you want through a transaction!

This is a fast way to ruin your account & reputation. Not only will you probably receive red trust, but if the trading is provable, i'm pretty sure your account can get permanently banned aswell.

As others have mentioned, there are several threads where Newbs can go to essentially "beg" for merits.

The best thing you can do in my opinion is to simply be helpful and informative towards other users. But please, don't start making these useless guides like many others do in the beginners & help section about a topic that is widely covered online.

You need to read and post practical articles in the forum. Go to the search engine and write a Merit, mark the option only to search within the subject and sort the results by the first.

Just avoid posting crappy things. As much as possible, try to create a topic that might interest people here. If they get pleased with your posts, they will give you merit. Try to explore also the forum. Study the rules carefully and abide by it to avoid getting into trouble with the mods. This might help you:

You can try to follow some of the advice posted above or you could just forget merit and do what you would do on this forum if merit never existed. Chances are that you will end up with the same result either way.

Which is to say that if you're a shitposter you're unlikely to get merits no matter what you do, but if you're a legitimate forum user you'll figure out how the forum works and how you can contribute.

Earning merit is not easy task. You have to publish something like research paper on bitcointalk in your post.

The only way you can get merit is quality posting. You may post or discover any feature for bitcointalk in meta section . Chances are high for getting merit.

I am also considered my self as new because I been quiet for a long time and now start reading again the rules and other guides for the beginner. I missed a lot of chances to rank up my account.
