We all knew that Bitcoin price is going so deeper as we can check the chart .  So we also know that the newbies always get panic with all this situation. They  are selling their Bitcoin  at the lower price  with frustrations  and even loses big amount of money from their investment . At this moment ,  who really wins?  Please share your opinions.

People come and go, They buy and sell, At the end only the hodler wins. This is the market of cryptocurrencies, If you hodl and not panic, You'd win. Did you buy any bitcoin when price dropped to $6,000? If you did then now you are the winner because the price is no longer $6,000. Who wins 15 years from now when the price is above $50,000? The ones who are hodling now until then.

New investors enter the market because they think this is a great place to make a profit in the short term. Many begin to follow FOMO and believe in it. And they will fail, those who can go to the end are the victors, and they will receive their own reward. Believe in your choices and become one of the winners at the end of the road.

The holders always win, newbies forgot that bitcoin is not what you can invest and make profit in the short time. But all I know is that when some people leave bitcoin out of frustration of the market, some people areally coming in to make it stay..

i don't know where some of you people come from, maybe you live in a fairyland. but in real world where i live we don't  call staying stable above $6k with small fluctuations as "going deeper and deeper"!
you probably looked at altcoin prices which lose about 10-20% per week and thought bitcoin is the same. but you should have looked at bitcoin price itself which has still been above $6k and rising all this time while altcoins go down.

"who wins?"
what does that even mean? you mean among altcoins and bitcoin? that is not even a competition! they are there to fill the pockets of traders with more bitcoin...

I think the real winner are 'sharks'. Newbie and many people buy at high price, now they get panic and sell their coins for lower price. It's a good time to make money for holders and sharks.

Why we need to have winner? bitcoin has been declared as the king of crypto's so there's no need for us to argue on who's the winner or what coin's the loser.

why should anyone win or lose, what is the purpose of a victory? What is the victory of the decline in bitcoin prices and who benefits? maybe investors who have a lot of capital to buy bitcoin as much as possible, but what might be the victory between bitcoin and alcoin? while both are not a competition ..

yes indeed many beginners panic by seeing the current market situation which continues to fall almost all the coins go down is because bitcoin has decreased they should be patient with this situation because if it panics it only makes you lose

Who really wins? The crypto whales always win, while the small newbie traders always lose.
This is the simple answer. The more complex answer is that crypto trading is a "win-lose" type of environment, while mass crypto adoption might create a "win-win" type of environment,if implemented correctly.

It is not possible to blame the Bitcoin sellers for this time, they have the right to sell or hold. I am holding back some coin in BTC with the hope of a stable price increase in the market. Know that the risk is high if you keep the MOF at this time.

Indeed, new people are very influential on prices, but they will not last long in the decline that happens, it makes them very afraid of losing all money but actually it will not happen when placing money in the right place like buying Bitcoin I don't think going further, this is a correction for the umpteenth time so I believe next year will be better because everyone buys from the lowest price now and keeps it until the end of next year.

Of course those who will win are people who are willing to spend a lot of time investing in Bitcoin and survive in the next few years, because someone who is frustrated will not make them good instead will make them mess with chaotic thoughts, so to be calmer in facing situation.

Why we need to have winner? bitcoin has been declared as the king of crypto's so there's no need for us to argue on who's the winner or what coin's the loser.

As usual,in such situations people of two categories win.Big whales who wish to buy bitcoins at cheaper prand the long time holders who who know very well about bitcoin's potential and that it's price would surely rise.

Ask that same question about other commodities like Gold and Silver and you will get the same answer. The people who makes the best trading and investment decision, will make the biggest profits. If you buy low and sell high, then your profits are guaranteed, but unfortunately this is a over simplified explanation, because some people have to wait for years for that to happen, because they bought too high or the market collapsed after they bought. <Like a lot of people did, when they bought last year at $19,000+>  ::)

Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme and it usually is those people who lose the most money.  >:(

The winning happens to those who are patient enough to hold out for better days. I don't think we're in any kind of trouble right now (other than the altcoins) so there's no need to worry. Bitcoin is stable in the 6000's and it doesn't look like it will be moving anywhere soon. It might dip below 6000 a few more times to scare the piss out of the noobs and give the smart ones another buying opportunity.

Other than that, I don't think we're in for much more action this year. Maybe a quick burst up to the 7500 region. Until then we won't have any action.

Who are we to predict?
Who's gonna win?

It may dipends who first legalise the cryptos itself
If new and a lot of money will come in so we can tell - THE PRICE needs to stabilise.

And so we can start accepting in the shops as well.

But for now on , if we still remain like that it's so hard to say.

the one who understands the features of the market wins (when you need to sell, and when to buy). I can say that the crypto currency is what rewards the most patient, even if the price has gone down since you bought it already there's no point in selling (fixing losses), better wait for the price that suits you and sell your asset

Are all the losers in the arena of themselves? However, when they lose the money invested, I think they also learned many business lessons. No one wins and loses in the cryptocurrency market.

Dont make plans with it. None of this "this is totally going to 20k and im getting a car!". Plan for the car separate to bitcoin. The volatility is just too drastic to make plans like a traditional investment.

Personally, I enjoy price watching because its fun to make empty bets to myself. I dont care about the money I got in but thats because I dont have hundreds of thousands in either. The coolest idea I saw was someone saying looking at their spending and skipping snack foods, gas station stops etc. But instead of "skipping over" them, he would buy bitcoin via mobile app. Mm... snickers and chips... nope $5 to bitcoin instead!

Really helped my diet and I have a lot of extra coin now too...

The insane thing to me is that the price is where its at because people are deciding that its worth ~6400. To me thats like the time I traded my brother my ticket to an ncaa tournamemt game (~$75) later that night for half a can of sprite in the morning. Yah. My thirst was quenched. But at what price.

So you have a history of making bad decisions. Tell me more so I can do the opposite.

There are many fluctuations that you can not predict. The winner in the market is calm, experienced and lucky. Please do not be too concerned about luck, we need to practice calm and experience. Exchanging on the forums, learning from the previous ones to know more about Bitcoin and the market is the key to success.

Bitcoin is an investment tool for now. So if you want to buy something for profit. It has a chance to lose. If you don't want lose anyway you can not buy Bitcoin.

For newbies to my understanding they should first prioritize to proceed with learning the subject of bitcoin, analysing and understanding the market trends after that they should focus on dealing with money. In any case if they do not learn completely or if they do not go with any expert advice or guidance there was chances they may loose even their capital.

Those who patiently wait are those who definitely wins. Remember, panic selling and panic buying will never be a good thing in a cryptocurrency. Those newbies who are tend to have a losses will somehow learn their own lesson. That makes them to encouraged to improve themselves and do a careful decisions next time.

I would say if you can keep buying as the price falls, this gives you a greater stock of coins, then when the price goes up again (when all those who panic have left) you will see a nice return on investment. Just keep your nerve and wait, take a long term view.

As we always say, If you invest in cryptoworld holding bitcoin is the best and has low risk than other investment like trading, investing on ICO and etc... Holding our bitcoin's has a big part in this world, in a situation like this its the time to invest more if you have extra money.

Hey it seems you're a total newbie when it comes to bitcoins, and you have not even searched or even understood the basic of bitcoins. I'm not aware of what charts did you see, but current levels are not deep, they're very much stable, when you compare them to alts. If you see at 6k new resistance has been formed.

The question who wins is vague, one part is which coins wins then it's obvious that Bitcoins is winning, even after a crash they recover quickly, while the alts lag considerably. I feel second part can be divided between those who sold it, and those who hold it, again people who hold it during such times wins. I would advise you to read about Bitcoins, study basics of bitcoins. The prices are really cheap, you should buy and hold bitcoins for long term.

For me, the winner is who get the more profits in this market situation. I guess who can be patient to hold their bitcoin, they will collect big profit when bull market comes. But the problem is sometimes when wee need money for daily need, we have no choice and forced to sell our coins.

I think what can be said to win is anyone who benefits more than others, maybe that can be used as a benchmark for winners in bitcoin. We might just need patience in order to get big profits in bitcoin. Those who follow a lot of campaigns with prizes can also be said to win in bitcoin, because they will get more profit.

Why we need to have winner? bitcoin has been declared as the king of crypto's so there's no need for us to argue on who's the winner or what coin's the loser.
"who wins?"

He wants to start an argument but it caught my attention as well. I think I've seen the same thread before.
Hmm, in my own point of view, I think he is not pertaining to the comparison of btc and alts. I guess he's asking about who is on the favorable side of the current negative situation, the smart buyers or the fearfull sellers? I say so because he said "who" not "which". Well, I just based on the grammatical structure of his post and don't really know what he really wants to convey so there's a chance that maybe I'm wrong too. :)

If my interpretation was right then I definitely go with the people who serve this dip as an opportunity to buy even more because cutting of losses is so impractical. Hodling and waiting patiently is better that that I think.

I personally don't give a shit what other people do, I've seen some of my own friends just make very stupid decisions.
They would buy Bitcoin at 20k and then get angry when it suddenly drops to below 10k. They sold everything, leaving them with a massive loss.

They look at me as if I'm crazy for just holding onto my coins  ::)

My advice: focus on what you do and don't base your decisions on what other people do.

I  perfectly agree with this assertion. Price would keep rising and falling in the market due the principles of demand and supply; however the one who has the patience to keep for a considerable length surely gain. Investors who were able to buy and hold till December 2017 had the greatest opportunity of making big time gain from bitcoin; and so it works thereafter.

I see that ADA has better development when the market is bearish, bitcoin creates bearish markets, and all altcoins prefer to give up with today's conditions.

no altcoin can survive, this is an opportunity to buy more crypto, but on the other side, this condition is detrimental to some people.

In this dump--which is orchestrated by the whales to be exact--the who sell are the losers. Whales will have the chance to buy bitcoin on sale and increase their bag for the next bull run. That being said, let's be wise and do the opposite of what they want.

that was the choice they make and sure it's a poor choice, they didn't have faith and patience in bitcoin, when it goes down they panic and lose all the money they invest in bitcoin. There's nothing really to say here unless there's a good thing that the market will become purer for real investors to play.

Before heading into something ppl always need to study a little, specially history. Those who are panic selling are those who never looked at market histories, didn't study anything and just entered probably because they have heard about something that was giving money. Well, even the stock markets had crashes and recovered and more, it's not the first crash btc had either and it went way higher again.
People just need to stop getting into stuff without thinking first.

i don't know where some of you people come from, maybe you live in a fairyland. but in real world where i live we don't  call staying stable above $6k with small fluctuations as "going deeper and deeper"!
you probably looked at altcoin prices which lose about 10-20% per week and thought bitcoin is the same. but you should have looked at bitcoin price itself which has still been above $6k and rising all this time while altcoins go down.

"who wins?"
what does that even mean? you mean among altcoins and bitcoin? that is not even a competition! they are there to fill the pockets of traders with more bitcoin...

Too many people have been brainwashed by certain traders and "experts" that we are going down, like Tone Vays which is always a bear, but they often forget he was wrong by several orders of magnitude by calling $7500 a best case scenario top for 2017.

And even if they were right, it's still riskier to own 0 BTC than to own 1 BTC, if you can afford 1 BTC right now that is.

As far as who wins, long term holders win of course. People trying to outdo the market always end up screwing up. Stick to the fundamentals and hold.

In happens in every kind of investment. That is not a new thing. The people with nerves of steel and a plan beforehand are the ones who will most of the time win, if they did the right assessment during the planning.

It all comes down to who have the most financial intelligence. It's very simple in fact, yet people don't understand it.

It's not some preying on others. It's people lacking preparation and enough mentioned intelligence to gather enough consistent profits. Especially in Bitcoin, panic selling is almost a sin.

For investments outside of crypto the only exception would be a big crisis in determined country.

Hold and sell is a choice for everyone. I can't judge the person who did panic selling is wrong way and I can't make a statement of the person who did hold till now is right way. They have different ways, and even they have different targets. It could be that those who did panic selling are people who will buy when prices are low. So, if you ask who will wins and who will lose is someone who did the strategy correctly.

In connection with the fall in prices for the digital currency, in China, cases of legal disputes related to the crypto-currency sector became more frequent. However, unclear regulation and unofficial restrictions make it difficult to make decisions on such issues. Many of these cases are related to the crypto-currency trade, which is considered illegal in China, but is it true?

If you asked this question last year, I would answer:''small investors''.
Right now, it seems that many ''big players'' are here, spreading rumors and speculate a lot so it seems they are winners now.
They have a lot available funds and can manipulate this market on daily basis, like in every other market.

Only 5% to 10% of people who have really mastered the art of trading will win in this type of situation because of the Arbitrage trading method and i think right now the arbitrage trading method will work the best wheres we cannot make big money from the sideways movement but yes decent profit can be made from selling from one exchange to another and i think everyone should give it a try and earn some money with the simplest way possible.

The first thing i consider is that the current price of bitcoin is far higher than i expected last year and as long as the price stands over five thousand dollars it is a win situation for all the investors considering the long term positions. The regulations coming up is hurting the market and may be so is the reason the market is moving down and hopefully we will regain and start climbing early next year and i am sure we will have a good rally in a couple of years which will yet again break the all time high valuation.

And not listening to the opinions circling around on the news about all of the doom and gloom. Forming judgements of your own and having the courage to stick by them, even when everyone else is shouting the opposite. That's why people should spend more time learning how to read charts instead of listening to other people's opinions.

Make use of the trend now. Fluctuations are normal with crypto currencies. This is normally expected. So just make yourself balanced when you come into market investing into crypto currencies.

Honestly, the small people. Normally before all of this "bitcoin is a way to make money quickly!!" type of version of bitcoin, it was "money" itself and we people who live in different countries and have smaller amounts changing our lives have always been into it because we believed bitcoin could have affects to change our life to better. Even to this day I have been using bitcoin to get paid for my work and I have been really happy with the invention of bitcoin because of that.

Nevertheless, there are people here who wants to make money from bitcoin enough to buy a house or "lambo" and there are whales who have millions of dollars who try to buy and sell and make decent return they can't make from regular stocks or what not.

The one who wins are the people who holds a lot of funds because no matter if the price goes down, they would just buy more of it so that they can average down. Bitcoin would just increase anyway since we know that the demand is there and those who have funds are playing with small traders or investors to make them sell the coins at a low price. Price would just increase or decrease suddenly so if you are a small trader then better protect your trades always to prevent big losses.

Those who have patience will win in this crypto market as the rise and fall of prices is normal. The price that we had today is too low than the normal price and if you will lose your focus due to frustrations, then you may end up selling your coins at losing price. You should exercise your patience to wait for the best price and you will gonna win with your huge profits.

It's true that all the altcoins are falling together with the bitcoin. At this time the bitcoin sinks for a moment and then rises again a few hundred, but the altcoins are falling down. Well, it's documented in the link you're writing. The current situation is probably so that bitcoin holders and big fish will gain until the newbies sell in panic. Apparently since newbies are the ones selling at loss, then those winning are simply the whales, institutions and some of the traders with good trading and investment knowledge. Simply, anyone who ends up selling at loss is like the highest form of insanity which is only common among those who are so particular about getting rich quick.

Without a doubt, new individuals are extremely compelling on costs, however, they won't keep going long in the decrease that happens, it makes them exceptionally anxious of losing all cash that really it won't occur while setting cash in the opportune place like purchasing Bitcoin.

The hodlers are the main winners in the cryptocurrency world. If someone has the courage to buy and hold cryptocurrency even when its price is low, he will definitely win. Because, if someone buys bitcoin when it has low price, after a certain amount of time, when its price will be high, he will get a huge profit. So, I think, hodlers are the winners here.

Hodling or holding is the key to winning in crypto market. Think about the people who bought and hold bitcoin when its price was very low. But in the last of November 2017, bitcoin price was around 20k USD. So, think, how much profit they have made. That's why holders are the winners here.

Title: Re: Bitcoin, Who really wins?

It is definitely the holders, the people who buys bitcoins but does not sell, rather they hold it. In this bad time of bitcoin, many people have lost faith on bitcoin and selling them. But it is a stupid decision. The holders are now buying these bitcoins at a low price and holding them. When the bitcoin price will be higher, they will get a huge profit from the bitcoin they bought. But it needs courage and ability to take risks. At the end, holders are the winners in bitcoin.

Panic sellers are the losing side from my opinion. I don't understand what do we expect? Is it possible that a volatile currency will always growth? Bad times comes and we need to wait for it's departure.

Staying in the market is the best decision. Market will fluctuate it is a very common thing here. So if anyone got panic to see this then I don’t think the market needs them.

Investors will come and go in this market. It is natural. But those who stay actually win unless they won’t stay for so long. So I think the holders win always.

Holders are the ones who ultimately win in the long run. People especially the newcomers always want BTC to make them rich or profitable instant and there where they go wrong. Having patience is everything that can lead you to success.

The real world where we live, we don't call staying stable above $6k with small fluctuations as "going deeper and deeper"! You probably looked at altcoin prices which lose about 10-20% per week and thought bitcoin is the same.

Newbie are very focus on prices. It makes them very afraid of losing all money. Actually it will not happen when placing money in the right place like buying Bitcoin. I believe next year will be better because everyone buys from the lowest price now and keeps it until the end of next year.

But for those who will panic, they're all green and just think of their own benefit despite of helping the community they make it more worst. So the end of the story will be regrets for them, and nothing to blame is their own self. Only the one who keeps his bitcoins always wins. After all, despite the price drop - one bitcoin is still equal to one bitcoin. Nothing changes. And in a few years, the one who did not lose this fight and stayed with his coins - will become a millionaire.

Winners in bitcoin are those who know how to hold when bitcoin's market price is down and those who know when to sell. It's still following the very basic of investments when the proper time to buy and sell your crypto assets and those who are not following the basics of investment would end up in the Losers column.

The winners in this market are those that hold and those that buy those coins and hold as well, I know the market of cryptocurrencies can be very complex but at the same time the most effective stategy is the one that is the most simple, just hold your coins, I do not know why this seems like it is a great mystery, you win in this market by holding and doing nothing more.
Basing from the past charts, those who knows how to be patience and timely manage their assets are the real winners from this industry, people who can wait and buy in the dip, they know how to value their money and investment, as long as you are willing to work with your knowledge and keep working out to survive with this market then you can gained from here.
Exactly, the market is completely unpredictable, if you are trying to predict how it is going to move in the next minutes or hours, but it's very predictable if what you are trying to predict is how it's going to move in the next years, the market has a tendency to go up simply because the adoption is very low and as bitcoin gets stronger and better more people are deciding to invest in it and that makes the price to go up.

New investors enter the market because they think this is a great place to make a profit in the short term. Many begin to follow FOMO and believe in it. And they will fail, those who can go to the end are the victors, and they will receive their own reward. Believe in your choices and become one of the winners at the end of the road.

Many investors and users arrive with that goal but many of them do not see how foolish they are to invest without any knowledge of crypto and fluctuations, when prices go down (which is a natural thing in crypto) they panic and sell them and big lose. of course they lose, the win are people who have knowledge and are patient with existing conditions

Of course we find it a winning time if we will be braver with our assets and by the time the gaining of price will be doing great, I guess it's over now and sell what you really need to get the profit. Seeing the price to be pumping again, cannot be totally an assurance because sometimes hype buyers will show up then eventually dump their coins which will cause some unwanted fluctuations.

I don't know about any of those names there, but there's really only one winner in all of this and it's always been Bitcoin.

Technology, adoption, maturity, security, recognition - all of this has been growing every passing moment, and there will always be more users, more uses, more places you can spend Bitcoin or obtain some. If people are into crypto, if merchants and services want to accept crypto, it will be Bitcoin first, everything else later.

While price is what alts will live and die by, price is background noise for Bitcoin.
