Yes....I think you should be able to find it on your bank statement if you biught it then with your debit card or any other means through your account.  The record should be there for you to see.

Are you trying to find out on which exchange/service you left your bitcoins in? If so, take a look at this link if any of these exchanges are familiar to you. Because if they're in this list, you're most probably screwed.

there were no exchanges in 2009

if anything you probably bought bitcoin from an individual so you just have to check with your bank on a 2009 statemnt for a wiretransfr with someone you dont know

OP needs to remember from where he bought his bitcoin (a marketplace, a forum,...) and/or how he bought it. Bank transfer, Paypal or any other payment processor. But if he is sure he used a bank transfer he will need to check his bank history report for a period. By eliminating the transfer you know about will save some time.

You're dumb. Ethereum didn't exist in 2009. It was created in 2012 or 2013

I'm wondering why this information is of value to you.

Even if you find out who sent you the coins, the best they could provide you is the public address.

All that will do is show you the coins had been sent there. You can't use it to recover the wallet or the coins.
