I started reinvesting at $6180.  My thoughts are that the $5900 was a double bottom chart and we will be back to $8000 by Sept 21 (ETF deadline) with an expected "sell on the news" pullback then depending on that outcome, either sub $10000 or over $20000 by Jan 1.  ETF acceptance means little except it is a sign of future adoption by the big money.

What we need is bitcoin powered cellular service.  Every phone is free but has a mining app that is required to run in order to have service, companies that earn USD but take investment and pay dividends via BTC, and a country to adopt BTC as their national currency (hello Palestine)

I want the price of bitcoin to be stable! Not a sudden increase! Anything upward is worth more, but not so sudden!

There should be a quick price bump back up once the panic sellers realize Bitcoins fall is likely over.  Short term traders screw with the price but longs and hodls will eventually win out.  

I take $200 per week and buy no matter what and I plan to start some new businesses in 2018 that buy wholesale website visitors @ $1 per 4000 visitors and resell at $1.00 per 1000.  Using Bitwage, all sales will be settled in Bitcoin.

Could do a micro ICO but Bitcoin doesnt really have a good token platform like Ethereum or BCH upcoming product "wormhole".

So for now, just hoarding up.  In 20 years BTC could be $1,000,000 per coin.  Think retirement, not trading for risky gains

I think Bitcoin can go on for a long time horizontal. So it will fall between 6K and 7K. After that it will go up

There sure will probably be a small bump before the deadline in terms of short-term price. The deciding factor though for mid-long term price though, is that if the ETF gets approved, declined, or postponed. I'm really not that confident. Probably the best case scenario is that it gets postponed, though there's definitely going to be a lot more fud if it gets postponed.

i don't think so, but by the end of this month or next month bitcoin will back to 7.000$. And also, what we need is not always what we get so don't keep your hope for those.

That is the real nature of the market; rise and falls within a limited space of time. I'm particularly not surprised to see the price of bitcoin hit 7k because I believe it would rise to hit 10k again this year.

10K This year is possible but OP is expecting that the price will go $7000 today itself that i think wont be possible ya but it can take more one or two days then we can see $7k price of bitcoin

Wow good analysis so much depends on the ETF issue, everyone involves in the cryptocurrency are paying that Bitcoin will eventually approve, we really need this I don't know the scenario if we cannot get the approval, so much are at stakes at this issue.

Slow improvement in btc price only gives me positive hope always and makes me buy more positions at key support levels. Now wherever the price may go , but once it starts rising there will drastic rise as we are approaching Dec'18 as well and the same we have seen last Dec'17 year.So what i suggest is this is the best time to buy some positions and keep them rolling and wait to make some good returns in the long run and forget for a while.Still retail investors will come in and go out as per their requirements.

Could be posible but I have a feeling that it will not surpass the 7k range and could fall down again, I'm not good at reading charts but this seems kinda easy to find out what is next. Also I have read so many articles of bitcoin going down/up and this got me confused.

No way are we going over 7k today.  If we get a good run we may get there by next week however the dreaded weekend is upon us.  I'm waiting for the crash back down.

$7,000 is possible if we get a solid run going.  Once the buys come in BTC can move hard in one direction or the other.  I feel like we are at a bit of a cross roads here and the move up or down is going to be large.  Just not sure which one it's going to be yet. 

I agree, I also think that a sudden increase like that is a bit hard, it's pretty stable to $6,000 right now, and we still don't know if it will go down. We can't assume that it will increase just like that easily, maybe in the end of the month Bitcoin, might hit $7,000 or even higher, but today it's a bit hard.

On the ETF, you should not count. The ETF will not be accepted soon. The market needs other growth drivers. You need to wait. Perhaps there will be other, completely different reasons for growth.

When I saw the topic of this post I rush to check the coinmarketcap in order to confirm the magic that will just take place within two hours that I check the coinmarketcap last. Cryptocurrency market is not a systematically program platform that we can easily use the occurrence of last year to predict what will happen this year. Simple because the price appreciated toward the end of last year does not means the same thing will happen this year.

No it will not reach 7k today itself. It is currently at 6.5k and to reach 7k it need to break 6.8k level with a huge volume and that does not seem the case today. So just wait and you will see a downtrend soon.

I believe(and i'm sure inside my mind) that the time will come. But i have no idea how much it will take to reach that point.

Meanwhile it's not that bad since it can be used to get profits out of it until it stabilizes and we can start using it for everyday money without any problem at all.

I agree. quick move upward may result to a heavy sell out afterwards much better if movent is gradual or little by little as this is a real upward  buying force while sudden increasevin price may cause only pump and dump strategy of some whales to gsin quick profit and lure newbie investor.

Bitcoin can definitely be stable. It's just going to need time. Yes, we can't have a fixed price, but it's possible for us to reach to a point where the price swings are so small that they pretty much don't matter that much anymore. Similar to gold.

It is impossible to make it happen like the fiat currency does. Then, just trade the fiat currency on if you want a stable price.

No it will not happen today. just wait and you will see a dump soon. Bitcoin has no news to support its levels right now.

Let's see how it goes, its been trading sideways in the past couple of days with a small bump a long the way. It could really pave for a new market trend towards a good bounce at $7K or another bottom at $58++. Regarding Bitcoin ETF, we will see the same pattern prior to the supposedly decision (Aug 10), which is a short term bump as well. But we all know that when it gets rejected, expect a massive sell off and another bottom.


The support is strong at $6K, that's why we didn't see another bottom. Right now we are consolidating and it continues then $7K will be breach when whales thinks its a good time to pour and go back into the market again.

I don't think it would reach $7k in just a few hours, if I were to speculate my speculation would be that it will go $7k by Tuesday with the up and down of the value it would take more than an hour to reach that level and even if its going down too the majority of price change will be up but it will be slower from the other month were bitcoin goes from $5,900 to $6,400.

But that would be boring, i think the best part of bitcoin and alts market is the volatility. Other way, where we will see the +1000% in the past 24h? cryptos give us that chance, but at end big risk mean big profit or big lost, as we say in gambling, is the go big or go home.

Getting back to the topic, btc could reach $7000 at any time, we only need to see some big whales on the market, some $millions will move the markets for sure.

For a target of $7k, I'd say in a matter of days from now...

But still, it's definitely gonna be a slow ride to the moon! Expect more horizontals...

Bitcoin prices will increase gradually, I do not think so much at the price of Bitcoin.
 in the beginning of 2019, Bitcoin will be $10000 +. I think Bitcoin should now be held.

Right now Bitcoin is going under a critical stage where anything can be happen depending on the release of fundamental news or major events like Crypto legalization or also accepting or delaying the cryptocurrency ETF's. But i think we will soon see a big rally starting in the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by which we can easily a new record high soon by this year 2018 ends. Crypto market will soon see many positive effects from all over the world.

You guys are setting your targets too low, that's why the price is so unstable. Everyone wants to make pennies from every small price movement and keeps selling after every small breakout. In a year nobody will even remember that you were waiting a couple weeks to finally grab that $100 in profits, just like nobody remembers people who were selling for $700 in 2016 because they thought it's never going to break the previous ATH of 1k.

It is almost 7000$, but the trip of bitcoin will go very very slow, the main thing is that bitcoin will achieve mark of 7k$ anyway. For past 2-3 days its like +50 or +100$, very good

Be realistic with your projections to avoid disappointments. Better to have a slow but steady ascent than a big jump that falls just as fast.

Price increase movement of bitcoin and altcoins is too slow but it is still moving up anyway so $7000 mark is reasonable. I think it will hit $7K before the weekend at most. So, we will just keep on moving and looking forward to better and positive results in the future.

You write correctly that ETFs can change little in the price of bitcoin. This can only give a green light for the capitalization of bitcoin, and with it will be a wave of those who will see the stability in bitcoin. I think this give us a signal that the price of bitcoin is starting to move out.  Even though the price movement is very slow but it  I think this better. We all hope that by this coming peak season the bear months, the price will continue to increase more and more.

I think probably we will see some good movement in the coming days. We hope for the 7000 region to be broken. I want this to be consistent move not just sudden rise. As everyone is focusing on the ETF news, we can have some moves before then. lets hope for it to happen .

At this juncture, what matters most to me now as an investor is stability of Bitcoin with respect to the market.  Not a crazy massive bull run nor bear ride. Slow and steady is okay for me and at the moment the market structure is not bad.

Wow nice and great positive mind for bitcoin future for this year, your analysis base on the ETF approval not bad but I really believe without the approval of ETF bitcoin jump again their price at the right even not in year next year or in the of 2020 the importance of this rcent situation hold tight and do not lose hope bitcoin treated as strong currency.

Odds are that we will get to the Sept 21 deadline, and the SEC will delay the decision once again to next year, this delay decision will then knock the price of BTC back down under $7,000 if we reached $8,000 by the time. You are right to say that bitcoin will grow. Let it be affected by an ETF or a system of vouchers or prepaid cards. Or even new announcements from exchanges and famous personalities. Bitcoin will grow and now it is important to be at the center of this movement that is around us.

   Bitcoin is really volatile and price is unpredictable but it always give us assurance to invest more because we know that bitcoin price will rise and increase more at the right time. That's why buy more now and invest then patientky wait the time to reap our profit.

The price will always rise back that's why you need to start buying in the dips than rather than to sell because of FUD cause when the price surge or have a bullish run then it's your lose. Especially in September 21 where ETF will be decided to be accepted or not. If it gets accepted then bitcoin will reach new heights and if not it will still strive to progress.

This. I'm also bullish long-term on bitcoin, for sure, but the delusion in these replies though. People are actually expecting $7000 today for some reason. Not saying it's impossible though, knowing the volatility, but even if it does, it's likely to dip back down if it happens that fast. People need to be more realistic.

ETF considerations will run all the way to Feburary in 2019 I think.   So I'm not especially thinking its a time scale or reason for recent movement.  Palestine is tied to Egypt and Israel in its money flow possibly, not sure anyone else is as influential.   Would Bitcoin be that useful to them, I think only if they earnt alot of money via solar panels perhaps and so BTC was useful in transmitting value from that source internationally.  
I think an island nation might have more use for BTC to over come isolation or distance and latency in their economy perhaps.   Where Palestine is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, its possible other places have more to gain but of course they could try and see of course I just dont imagine it as especially likely.

BTC now is at the tail of a downtrend, then going sideways.  The recent low I've seen previously as a kind of back check of that negative trend pricing, its possible thats a bullish sign.

So a reasonable target past that could be 50 ma which is 7000 but really I think closer to 7500 perhaps.   6300 I'll call as a line in the sand to maintain a positive outlook

It tried but just couldnt do it.  I saw a $6600+ hit on coinbase but still building pressure at the 6500 area.  I just dont want the inverse head and shoulders pattern to fail.  If it suceeds, we should run to $7373ish before a correction and hopefully upward from there.

I agree that if ETF is delayed again (and it probably will be until March 2019) we will see more idiotic selling.  If price goes down i am happy to get more btc per dollar invested.  I truly believe btc will be adopted more in the future and be used to stabilize national economies.   

Give it all 20 years and maybe all these $200 investments will be worth $20000 each.  Or... Maybe 2.00 each.... Time will tell

As what  I've seen in the bounce back is quite slow but surely no big set back hopefully it will continue to progress  these way as investors will flood for the coming ber  months  period in which many speculation that  the bitcoin price will go in a bull run as what happened last year,  case  now hands who grab and buy bitcoin while the prices is  low will surely profitable.

We can't know if bitcoin will be $7k once again "today" or anytime but I am sure it will reach that soon enough, I am becoming more bullish on bitcoin prices because I have seen and talked with people that lost a lot of money during the December and afterwards drop and they realize what they did was a mistake and they are trying to recover that with getting at cheaper this time and that will cause bitcoin to go up from now on.

Maybe it will not be enough, maybe whales will fight for lower prices because short futures are making them tons of money and they gather bitcoin when its low and when it tries to get higher they sell what they gathered and with wave affect the price goes even further down with panic and they collect low again.

We're holding that same line shown on the chart near 6500.    The interesting thing might be that we are declining in volume over time as we hold that position.
The 50 day average is rising slightly, 200 day declining at the same pace and 8 day average is underlining all the recent lows.  So BTC can be said to be in a positive phase still even though its not going anywhere for now.

What I suppose happens is the range like this constricts and breaks out with a much sharper movement up or down.  My personal guess is it does break up but has to confirm above 7317 to really go anywhere especially.   Considering how much BTC often does move, this holding is fairly unusual.  Still not thinking its tied to news of an ETF but I havent read tons on that

This year bitcoin is not going to start a bull run.
Its just in a swing mode and swinging between 5k-8k.
I will buy around 5000 and sell over 7500$ this is a nice swing trade idea for now.

Bitcoin has its ups and downs due to its volatility. It has been its normal trend, its value is very unpredictable and uncontrollable. There can be drop in price but I still believe that market can recover at the course of time. Its current price is at 6.4k and can potentially get back on track, it can again hit 7k or higher. Stay positive and patience, don't panic, instead learn from every good and bad experience.

countries that are in conflict will not have time to think about it, and bitcoin will never be the national currency of any country.

yes this seems to happen because the bitmex market is off and making bitcoin rise. maybe bitcoin is down this is indeed a strategy to be able to buy at a low price before bitcoin rises

I am sure if ETF approved bitcoin price can be increased up to $10k, but the schedule of the first ETF by Proshares already rejected, but I hope later on 30 September ETF is approved.

it seems that it will be very difficult to happen because currently the price of bitcoin depends on the good news that is in some media so that the good news can make investors buy bitcoin and finally the bitcoin price can return to the price of $7k again.

I read that Bitmex regularly does go offline for maintenance and somebody forced a jump in the market while using that gap in trading to take advantage of shorts that might be caught out.    There is a large amount of open shorts and this area seems to be highly contested by both sides which means its liable to what people fear is a breakout of the pattern, its hard to tell when exactly that might occur though

Current price is $6,500 USD and its a Friday here, most of the time or on weekends, Bitcoin trading slows down so the price goes down too a little bit. Price usually recovers on the first 2 days of the week unless there's a very good news that goes out that will have a good impact on the price of Bitcoin then price will surge at any day of the week.

Bitcoin is already above 6500$ even with the sec bitcoin ETF rejection. It means the sellers are in controll.hopefully we hit 7000$ by this weekend

You should not give up on cryptocurrency, it will still pump up just like what happened last year and invest right now while the market prices are still low.

I think you are getting too much optimistic about bitcoin. It is the toughest situation for bitcoin right now and its hard call that the price of bitcoin will raise to $7k today. If it really happens then it will be great boost to the crypto currency market.

That rapid pump to $6,900 was said because of Bitmex.
It's little in a way that there's no effect for its rejection. But the hopefuls think that this can get tons of money from the institutional investors but I doubt it will happen.

Expect the unexpected dude,as volatility is really in effect now and no one can predict tomorrow's value,you have bought in a cheaper price and that is enough reason for you to satisfy on how the value of bitcoin is going now.hopefully in months or so market will give good signal again and from that we can play normally again

Let's see after thr result of september's etf if it gets approved or rejected. The recent rejections should have dragged btc's price around close to 6k but it it was steady so an approval next month could likely send us above 7k again

We have seen many jumps in the price of BTC but this is too early to predict. The price of BTC is facing continuous down falls and it will take time to reach $7k. I think it will take time until late September this year when ETF will get approved.

According to Elliott Wave's theory we just finished the 4th wave which was the correction. The 5th wave sees the total market volume getting decreased slowly and then the bullish trend starts. I know, it doesn't work according to the theories, but the indications are very similar as of now. Would be great if it really happens.

To be honest the recent slow upwards movement by Bitcoin is what makes the market interesting and attractive for the new investors. If the price keeps fluctuating day and night, it scares off the investors and loses it's market cap. Hopefully, the recent stable price of 6,400$ will keep increasing in coming days and start the bullish trend once it is time.

You are right on the point about adoption is the key for Bitcoin's market to skyrocket but without the adoption part it looks highly unlikely for a further movement in the market as it seems like. ETF approval or the hype regarding the hearings will definitely help the market to revive in the future but I am scared of another correction that might help to drop the price again.

I hope there can be an increase of up to $ 10k or more, but it will definitely take a long time, even for the end of the year, I think it's still difficult, even if you are talking about a $ 7,000 increase, I'm still not sure, because I see the market is still rising and falling.

Its been trading sideways for more than 2 weeks now with no clear trend. But this current break out looks to be bullish for me. But it doesn't mean a massive bull run.

The graph shows that at least a break out run to $7K is the target. It may take some time as we all know that at this moment there's is a strong resistance at that $7K levels. We really need to see what would be the sentiments.

But I don't like ETF's as main catalyst though, i wanted to see a healthy break out and we really don't know if ETF's is going to be approved or not. Le'ts not buy those ETF's hype as it might harm the system in the long run.

The price of BTC will go up. given that the market is bearish now, it will hit the bull run and the prices will increases or all the coins, even for BTC. Instead of only HODL, we need to make investments too, to make that happen.

Of course, i bought it on under 6000$, so i have a good profit and it needs 200-300$ to reach 7000$, it gets easy even if the news are bad. It is going to be pumped this winter like in 2k17

CNBCC give good predictions after they say bitcoin will dump, it will go up. Recently, they said it. After those announcements BTC usually goes up roughly 30%, so we should see $8500 and wait another signal from them.
There are many posts out there with analysis of their analytics.

The harder it is, the more chance we have. Getting the opportunity and the moment, is still easy to reach the goal as usual. I see no problem too much here.

I think it's still very unlikely at this time that there is a lot of bad news that makes the price of bitcoin have trouble making price increases so I think the current price will still be below $ 7k until there is good news so it can experience a $ 7k price increase or even more, and it should be noted if there is good news.

Firstly, you are attacking news that never had an effect on the market in the first place to think it would just bring about some bullish sentiment into the market ?
You guys should wake up and see that this is not a market presently driven by news and if it was, there is better news that would have actually caused a huge demand as it is now. Nevertheless, expecting bullish market at this point in time is a lot to ask for anyway, and it is best we just understand that no matter what, we are still in the bear market.

The price very close to 7000$ and at some exchanges probably has already touched it at some moment but it's hard to tell whether will also stay there and rise up or pull back below.
Similar situation we had recently but it didn't last so let's wait for next couple of days and see how it will develope.
