Title: Which wallet to use for storing ICO tokens?
Post by: TRS-HARDWARE on August 18, 2018, 01:36:37 PM
I wonder which wallet is being used by ICO organisers. They are responsible for huge amount of transections and it is very risky work, as many hackers always looking for some loops into large transections.. Any Experience in this regards. Which wallet do you suggest for such large transactions and storage.?

wallet that you must use according to the platform used in a project.
or are you asking for an ETH wallet?
if your intention is ETH, then you can use My Ether Wallet

I think they will have their own wallet for storing their coins since it was created by them, but MEW is the one which is used by most of the ICO investors because this can be much secured when comparing third party wallets and also it supports all the erc20 tokens.

Most of those ICO tokens are made on Ethereum's network and those tokens are ERC20. Everyone is using myetherwallet (MEW) for short and if those token developers doesn't have any plans of launching their main net, they'll remain as ERC20 token.

Hardware wallets, yes they are the best and it also supports ERC20. I'll choose any of the both but having an hardware wallet is better.

the first thing to avoid is to use the wallet from exchange. I think you should use an official wallet from the platform itself or use a wallet that has been suggested by the ico organizer.

not all projects use platforms that support tokens erc20. some projects use platform waves and eos.
please follow the rules set by the manager and team.

I agree with your opinion, bro, because the ico program doesn't have to be with erc20 depending on what platform they use with what platform, whether with a platform or nem platform and many more depending on what their project concept is.

Nothing better than MEW can be the best wallet for storing and transacting the tokens in larger or smaller amounts,I don't have too much of tokens in MEW but we can see that most of the ICO projects transferring their tokens to MEW wallets for the storage purpose.

For ICO organizers since most of the tokens on this market is based on erc20 or ETH then usually it do take happen on Myetherwallet rather than on a cold storage. A big amount of transactions wont really matter as long the keys of such wallet wont really be exposed to anybody since no one can really bruteforce a certain storage unless the keys is compromised. ICO tokens doesnt have a value on initial phase and come to think its easy to create a coin on which it isnt surprising basing on the numbers of shitcoins on the entire market.

In my opinion, for storing such tokens, My Ether Wallet is best suited, it supports all erc20, which is used by most investors from ICO

Not only used by investors but its also used by bounty hunters.

Its free and easy to use thats why many are using it. Its also recommended by ICOS as well.

Myetherwallet or Metamask. I think this is the best for ICO tokens. For me, it is safe and secure for storing our tokens.

Myetherwallet or MyCrypto is the best choice to store your ICO tokens, Both have user-friendly interface and secure enough...
I never had a problem using this wallet to store my tokens until this time...

Make sure before using Myetherwallet or MyCrypto always double check the URL website first to prevent phishing website...
