Title: Scheduling with Antminer S1
Post by: prabos on February 28, 2014, 09:23:05 AM
Hi all,

I'm mining with an Antminer S1 and need to stop mining at a given time/date.

I see that there is a scheduled tasks crontab in the management page, however, how to give cron cammands is a bit over my head  ;D

I'd appreciate if anyone can give such a command to stop mining at a given date/time

cheers

Quicker to buy yourself a mains plug with an on off timer than try and change the /etc/init.d/cgminer script.

It would be nice to be able to mine Bitcoin on GHash for 20 hours per day on Pool 1, and automatically mine another coin on Pool 2, such as BitRaam on iSpace.co.uk for 4 hours per day.

I read about someone who set their S1 to mine only during low cost energy hours. (middle of the night) He set that up pretty easily by connecting the S1 to a block heater timer and setting that to only run for a few hours a day. That could be an option for you as well.
