Dev's of the coin and some pool experts are testing the HeavyCoin pool software as I type ;)

A long overdue post to this thread.

Pool mining is important to have ready for the launch.  This post contains important information for those interested in running Heavycoin pools.

As far as bounties goes, doge94 and crypomind are the first and second pools.  We are working with them to make sure everything is ready and tested before the launch.

Our plans (in-progress) are as follows.

1. Heavycoin stratum module (Keccak, done)
2. External miner - cpuminer (Keccak, in-progress)
3. Extend MPOS with voting extensions, to allows pool members to vote (Nomisugi, in-progress)
4. Make binaries for (1) and (2) available to pool operators for testing ahead of the release
    We will setup a VPS running a testnet wallet for the pools to connect to for testing

The goal is to have the mining pools setup and tested in advance.  After the launch all source code will be published to our github account.

I must admit, the professionalism and dedication involved in getting Heavycoin launch be 100% success, both between devs and, myself and other fellow pool owners is amazing.

4 days 'till the mining operations start! Tik Tak Tik Tak

We are really busy these past two days!  Yesterday was all IPO bookkeeping.

Managed to get some work into the cpuminer-heavycoin today.  Nomisugi is still working on the MPOS fork.

So glad to know you guys have made practical progress in stratum-mining module,  and is working on MPOS fork :)

Is it possible to open these (stratum module, mpos mod, etc.) to public before launch? Thus, all of us, as heavycoin pool owners, would have a fair chance at the launch time

This would be much appreciated by us pool admins.

Quick update:  we are still working on is stratum mining.  It's a bit more involved than usual because Heavycoin has a modified block header structure.  Made some good progress yesterday.

Nomisugi's MPOS fork is looking great, but we need to test everything with stratum before releasing.

I see there are pools for heavycoin already. What software do they use?
