Post by: evolve on October 21, 2011, 04:23:10 AM why so hostile towards shorting? if you dont get over-leveraged, theres not an issue with margin calls... and a short position acts as a hedge if BTC crashes, minimizing losses.

Like once it surged from $5 to $7 for 30 minutes and I think what happened was someone bought a little and then it forced all the shorts to have to buy it back and they all did it at once.
