I just came back from work now and find out that all the altcoins are in red except few one.  I did not know what is really happening and I think traders are dumping for some reason. Is there any fundamental reason why altcoins is getting dump again?

There may have been some decline in Muslim countries due to the feast. Now we're used to these little drops. I did not need a pretext.

Reds and Greens are normal! I use to think otherwise though! But at some point people need to sell to take profit. I think reds are healthy! So are the greens, you don't expect to see greens always and reds too! Its just normal in this market.

I don't know but after green, red will be stronger so altcoins will be at lower price but I think solid coins for examle oax will rise so much.

Yes, and I think think what is affecting the market is because of the negative news spreading around the coin. I believe if there is is a very good support for the coin and investors reduce the rate at which they panic sell, the price will rise and it will recover slowly.

Investors are kind of staying away from the Crypto due to sluggish market. Whales are dumping price, more ban from countries on crypto trading is putting the market under pressure. It will survive, holder will reap maximum benefits.

The attention is back on BTC, why would anyone trade altcoins when BTC dominance is rising. All the gains are being made with Bitcoin.

Im also feeling depressed due to unstoppable bears in alts, i wonder when we are gonna get those days back when each alt day was green and we were happy to see profit everyday, seems like there is no alt season around at the moment like we used to see in the past.

I think you should stay away a little from the monitor, take a break for a week and come back when it has normalized a bit, at the moment there is a lot of speculation, a lot of FUD and manipulation, so do not expect the market to recover soon, you have to wait until the whales get tired of playing and then we can see how the prices recover.

When we go back to January/February/March 2017, then we still have huge growths of nearly all well known cryptocurrencies f.e. Litecoin was worth 3 or 4$, Bitcoin was under 1000$, Ethereum under 50$.

And Bitcoin is green, that's absolutely insane how BTC takes the power from all the altcoins, it was never by this way and now I see this very often. I expected the return of the prices for this week.

According to last year, we are in good shape. But most investors have made a timing error and they are damaging.

Though you'll giving this proof to them that the market is still good as last year they will ignore you. They bought those coins that doesnt really have a potential to grow and they cant help themselves looking at the market.
They are pushing themselves harder by realizing that today is the only basis of reading the market.

This is the general situation of the market at the moment. The price of altcoins is continuously in a red state, and the market continues to decline in capitalization. This has had a lot of negative news lately. It is hoped that by the end of 2018, the market will recover and increase in 2019.

You need to understand that we're currently in a bear market, prices tend to recover every once in a while, but they'll eventually go down again. That plus the fact that there's no buying pressure in the altcoin market (there hasn't been any buying pressure for a few months now), then ultimately you'll have this sea of red.

Altcoins are in the shits right now because of the bitcoin ETF that was postponed. Everything was sold after the announcement. However, this could also be a good thing because this means that once the bitcoin ETF decision comes closer next Monnth (Sept. 30), we should see values to rise in expectation again. This would definitely be a good time to buy more.

bitcoin or altcoin coins go down very deep, of course it can rise again, however the increase is still relatively dependent on market enthusiasts and market demand as well as the strength of the buyers of bitcoin, altcoin which fully determines if the price is too cheap then automatically the players of bitcoin altcoin trading try to buy the coin at a cheap time then sell it again when the price is high because that is the high price and then sell again so the price goes down again and again the price goes up and down again.

Obviously the bearish market is still in effect and that is why i told my friends before that it is too early to celebrate if the market become green and they should not easily to concluded that the bearish thing is over. So i guess i'm right because of this market red performance again and i hope next time they will not be easily to fall in this trap.

Whenever there is growth in bitcoin price almost the price starts increasing again so don't worry about the current situation of the market. Even though the market is in red we càn able to make some profit when the market cap starts increasing.

It's a lot but we must be patience for that at least there will be one of them will be approved by SEC and that will give a hype to the bitcoin and this will give a big impact to the altcoin too.

FORGET THE ETFs, no ETF will be approved this year, including the CBOE one, I would be very surprised if it were approved. The Media is putting too much emphasis in the ETFS so that the bears and shorters can carry on what they are doing, bringing the whole CMC to its knees. Expect Bitcoin to retrace to the 81% Fibonacci level at least before you see any sign of any reversal. The Bears are in control and no good news is having an effect on the market now only negative news, because that is the way they are playing it right now. Expect alts and BTC to bleed out even more, with just some pump n dump groups working in between today trade their stashes and make their profits.

it's only almost all and not all of the altcoins in red and it means, the other altcoin have the possibility to increase more and more, right? besides that, there is a green altcoin that still survives in the market. almost all is not the same with all of so don't get panic and it's better to stay calm and be patient because this will not go forever and this will be ended soon.

Some people are impatient and some whales want to manipulate the market which makes it a real crisis. This situation lasts for several months and it is not surprising.

Quite true mate that the altcoins have been in the red and that has become a trend in recent time but I don't see the pattern remaining so for long though. Bitcoin too has not been bullish as you might have expected but I see all of these changing as we approach the end of the year and early into next year.

they are not red "again" they have been red for months if you look at the bigger picture!

what is happening is the continuation of the same dumps that started about 8 months ago. a lot of the small altcoins got dumped fast and clean reaching -90% for instance and then they have been having a healthy and in most cases green market.
but the bigger altcoins have been resisting the dumps from the start but the dumps are not something you can stop, all you can do is slow them down and that is what has been happening to big altcoins. you can see for example how ETH has been slowly losing its value from $1500 down to $200 and is still headed down.

Learn from this current events, the rise and fall is not new if you trace back the history, those who knows how to wait and patiently holds most of the time are the achievers and really earn big profits, spare money can be used here and take some risk to buy more coins, waiting game will start before the year ends.

The situation is really very difficult now in the market, and I think that it is connected with the output of a large number of whales. This may be some sort of manipulation.

We are still im a bearish market even with yue pump taht we have experience the recently. Now we see volatility in the market. This might be due to investors taking advantage of the pump and dumps. It can be green now and red towards the end of the day.

I think soo n all these etf applications will create a fomo effect in the market and we will see strong bulls back and if even one of the etf approves we will see massive bullish movements in the market for next few months.

Hope the ETF will be accepted by the SEC. Only this reason can help the market recover before 2018 ends. If denied, we will continue to look at the bloody market

It's going to be another hype and people are buying to this event and waits if they have to buy once its approved. But whether it is approved or not, we know on how the market can swing and these events shouldn't be the only thing that we have to wait. There more things to come to the market not only this bitcoin ETF proposal. It will make the market centralized but it will bring in a lot of cash.

The entire cryptocurrency market is waiting for this event and I am feeling pretty anxious for the market because when so many people are waiting for the ETF event then surely the speculators will also use it to limit the growth of this market. I think investors should regularly update market information to make the right decision.

yeah its true. most of the coins in the market are red. maybe some of the investors holding their coin because were almost in the end of the year. or maybe some investors dumping their coin. I think don't panic for short-term reds because sometimes market will test our patience if you panic about the market then definitely you feel bad when the prices start increasing again. So patiently wait until the market starts recovering.

Another correction before the next rise. All while is in a stage of a small swing and when it will end nobody knows, so it's too early to talk about the day of coins.

I heard that one of an ETF approval got rejected yesterday. Now all the coins are red now except USDT. What a crazy year for the market this is. We are waiting so long to see some good market movements.

During a bear market, you don't need any reasons for some coin/token to lose its value. It's just the condition of the market that causes people to give up their bags cheaply and just end their relation with cryptos.

It really does, the market won't be the same just like before were everything was flashy. And it has to take bitcoin market first to boom before the altcoin does.

The main reaon why the altcoins are dump again is because of the bitcoin price dump too. Because they depend to the bitcoin price. But  even the most of the altcoins are down they have sone few coins that are still increasing even the market down.

Recently SEC rejected back to back 9 ETF approval and there is again tight situations in china may be this is the reason for the dump. No need to get worry due to this dump as long as you are not looking for short-term profits. This dump and manipulation is not gonna last for long time. Just check the historical data on coinmarketcap you will get satisfaction if you believe in long-term investment.

I think this situation can be about the big fear of the cryptocurrency users which have no knowledge and no self-confidence. I hope new investors can realize that the prices are very suitable for making buying.

Exactly I think positive news has no more effect on altcoins. Every single project I support and every alt I have has nothing but positive news these past few months but none of them move the price anymore. Still we are waiting on Bitcoin to move. The positive side is that now many alts are 90% down from ATH so if you got in late, this is the chance to own those good coins you like. In 2018 there was a sharp decline in the price of coins. I think the decline in prices is due to very high price increases in 2017. Altcoins are just bumping and dumping from the recent weeks due to the fall of bitcoin price from $14000 to $10000,we can expect the green days if bitcoin reaches the next resistance.

Altcoin season came once and it will never come again, that's my strong thoughts on that. But this doesn't mean there won't be anymore x10 or whatever you want to call it. Alts are still in demand, the tech is still young and you need either 1 killer app or 1 killer platform, and you never know what demand can do to a coin. Just look at BTC and ETH for example!

it is . the market of overall cryptos were dramatically recovered this year as when compared to thier run last year but there is that time ( this year ) that cryptos are decreasing   . if you think alts are easily affected by btc then why would you say that alts are still down ?   like i said earlier , the status of most alts were now improved and i think that is because of the help of btc  . and how can you say that people arent interested on old coins anymore ? if thats true then btc , eth , bch and other older coins should fall down and wont recover  anymore  but its not the case that happen this year  . people still prioritize old coins because this is the base of the new coins   .

I spent most of my USDT investing in XRP when it increased by more than 0.4 $ in June. After it reduced I still decided to retain this investment, because I felt that altcoin will be coming soon.

Even when bitcoin reaches the next resistance, I dint expect altcoins to still leave the red market lane that they are. Most of the altcoins are not responding to the increment of bitcoin, and the more bitcoin increases, the more that altcoins declines in value. The only altcoins that usually work in line with bitcoin increment are altcoins that are within the top 50 actually, but sometimes could extend to the ones within the top 100 coin in the record of coinmarketcap.com.

I am not expecting any of those altcoins after top 100 to moon until bitcoin witnesses some consolidation, which is what usually lead to the high surge of some of these coins like we witnessed in 2017 and early 2018.

It seems that altcoins now have taken a curious decision: to go up and down together. I see that when one (at least ) token starts climbing, the other ones begin their movement. It happens when they are going to fall also. Thus, one day you open the site where you check crypto prices and see all are red, it means that another wave will come - they will turn green. Most of them.

Altcoin is still at the adjustment stage and any investment will bring a lot of risks to you. Now that the bear market is still going on and there is no sign of stopping so I am sure altcoin will still fall more in the coming time. My best advice now is to just keep USDT or BTC because this is safest option at the moment and we can't be sure of the future of all altcoin.

An opportunity to buy some altcoin with good project. It may red again but it will rise up again we just have to be patient in altcoin though some alts cannot survive in the market make sure invest only on those good project.

the expected inflow of money into the subcoins did not materialize. they are in very poor condition by volume and this affects them negatively. I hope the volume will rise and the rise will begin soon.

I think part of the reason altcoins keep dropping is because everyone is starting to get more bullish on Bitcoin and may be consolidating for the upcoming halving event. They do seem to be recovering a bit though and I'm sure by fall of next year we'll see some really big booms in the altcoin market but I think for now people are focused on BTC.

This is common in the Cryptocurrency market, when the price goes down, the coins will rise quickly.  this is the fluctuation of Cryptocurrency prices.

The right opinion is, when crypto price rise, it will goes down quickly. E.g when bitcoin reached 20k from 7k, it took around 1 month, but when it crashed, we have been waiting for 1.5 years and it still didn't back.

Agree with you. When some coin price drop, it's hard to come back to its high price.
The reason why is because the cryptocurrency market is very volatile. So that's why we always see some coins which suddenly have a 100% price increase in just one night.
That's already common in cryptocurrency.

I feel one of the reasons why altcoins are no longer gaining much dominance again is because they are no longer becoming popular again like it was in 2017, and one of the thing that affected its popularity was the issue of scam that was going on through it. Many investors now prefer to just focus on still the most popular coin Bitcoin, and maybe some top coins because if you look at it too, these are the coins that still have real use case and has products that people needs.

Might be by 2020, for sure alts will bounce so better stay away from alts and bags some stable or a good advise is to really put your portfolio to btc at all as it is on its momentum at the moment. If you want to bag some alts choose those alts that are strong especially on the top 100 on market cap.

The slight increase of the past few days is due to the up trend of Bitcoin to over $11,500 price, Very soon there should an exclusive altcoins bull run too, pending that time a lot of decrease may still be recorded.

It happens almost every week that coins gets red and I guess when you trade and look on the hourly charts, you'd always see the time to sell and then again wait for the time to buy. It started last year, its not going to end in just a year so this red altcoins is going to be the usual scene. It's been a year already when OP posted this and the market seems to look the same( at red). It is sad to think that altcoins never have given a chance to recover since last year and some of them are losing its profitability.

Altcoins along with bitcoin has been experiencing a massive fall in the value with the entire market turning red. This is much an expected fall, and it doesn't seem to be a manipulated or just because of the whales Play. There will be price crashes before big price pumping. I see the current market completely red as an indication of bigger growth.

It is really difficult to identify this market in the near future, but if altcoin does not have any major price improvements, altcoin will surely fall into crisis soon. You should have sold altcoin before they were red, because if you are greedy and want to take a lot of profit, you will actually lose like now. If you have a large capital to make the slightest profit it is not bad, this is how the crypto market after green will definitely be red, if not immediately sell it you have to wait even longer to return profits

The value of altcoins will surely be affected once the value of bitcoin is rising up since a lot of will surely dump their tokens. And this is usually happens every end of the month(just my obervation). But this is also good since you can buy more altcoins since it will go down.

And good thing is when the price of bitcoin crashes again then it is time to buyback more altcoins.

That's the trend I like to witness again, but its been over 1 year that bitcoin is not bullish so altcoins still struggles.

Hopefully things will change at the right time, the game now is just on who are willing to hold as for sure they will enjoy a good profit once that good time will arrive. If the market struggle, the best thing to do is just to hold and buy if there's still extra money to take advantage on the situation, but if there's none, there's nothing we can do as well, we have no option but to believe and HODL. :(

Stop giving people advice they already know. I mean, of course if they knew alts were going to be red they would sell it but the whole point is not anyone knew it would, and they keep holding and hoping.

As someone said above, dollar cost average. Buy a consistent amount every time regardless of price. Set your price target and wait.

After a having green market last few months, we are now experience again the red market where even the top rank cryptocurrencies. I do not know if I still get excited because we are now in the last quarter of the year where we expect huge uprising price of different cryptocurrencies. If the red market keeps on going maybe this quarter might be the same quarter of the year 2018.

we cannot avoid that, because, in the past, the red market has always been repeated. however, altcoin prices are currently on the green line. Well, we've seen the price of red a few days, but with the recovery of the price of bitcoin to the level of $ 8200, this resulted in quite a lot of altcoin recovering. I hope this recovery continues to a very high level and hopefully one of them is the altcoin that you hold.

after I see all the news there is no clear reason why they all go down, I think it's a normal thing that happens in market conditions where selling demand is more than buying.

The graphs are red due to negativity in the market and FUD created by the investors.But soon the prices will rise due to the investments in the market and we will see prices of alt rising once again.The major coins like ETH,LTC,XRP will be soon having a pump in prices.

Perhaps the market is having a pick because there is so much trashcoin in the market.  Take this opportunity to store the top altcoins because they are quite cheap in this time and wait for the altcoin season to return like 2017.

I think more altcoin will be removed from the market. The market needs to shrink a little. Money should act more collectively. Because there is a possibility that prices will remain low when too much is dispersed.

thats true, a lot of shitcoins in the market now, and maybe this time market filtering and removing all the shitcoins to the trash bag

What more do you like to see? with the altcoins total dominance of 33% now, that would already tell how it has suffered in over a year.
I think it would not anymore go down as some altcoins also are already undervalued, there's nothing we can do now but just to relax and ensure we have hold strong enough to survive, this market will surely survive, it's only us which are in question if we can really live to the definition of HODL.

It was the market crash since 2018 and the altcoin market hasn't been recovered since then. the altcoins market is down to the bottom right now, the coins are dirt cheap. so if you are planning to buy some altcoins, now is the right time to buy. buy them cheap, hold them, and sell them later when the market is recovered. 

I check prices everyday, and I can`t tell how many times I saw entire list green or red. I get use to it by now, and I`m trying to use that in my advantage. When I see red market is a good signal for buying, when green comes its a good time for selling. Sometimes profit is good, cause the difference can be higher then 20%.
Don`t despair when you see all red, don`t be to excited when you see all green, try to benefit from situation.

Alts seem to be starting to grow, recently there was a correction in the market and already many coins have grown a bit from the bottom, I think with time alts will continue to grow
