Hi all
ETC was added to coinbase recently as you all probably  know. What do you think about future of this coin? It definitely will grow overtime (being the cheapest coin on Coinbase, so psychologically new influx of people will tend to opt to buy it , IMHO) . Having said that, will it be PUMP and Dump future or this coin worth to hold long term? Or you are staying away from this coin?

Coinbase Pro has added Ethereum Classic (ETC). But coinbase.com has not added ETC yet. Or I'm wrong?

The price of the coin is falling, since ETC has little liquidity and does not have the recognition of the community

It is on both exchanges (coinbase and coinbase pro) currently price is around 12.5$

Ethereum should definitely be left for long term, because this is the most promising coin of 2018

ETC is a good one, i prefer to hold it for a long time.
but i am a bit adventurous and i want to gamble with ETC.
i will hold 50 percent of my tokens and scalp the another half.

Yes I think one can invest in ethereum classic for a long term by buying now and just forget the wallet keeping it till the end of 2019. The gain will be massive

The project is a awesome project and the price is down now so I think people can easily key into it for a long term investment

ETC, like any other altcoins is best used for short term investment because quite frankly these coins don't have a good future specially those ones that have an unlimited (with no cap) supplies and ethereum is one of those coins. it is basic economy of supply and demand which says with an unlimited supply the price will decline in the long run.
on top of that ethereum is not the best smart contract platform and in the near future it will be replaced by a better one with much more efficiency.

I don't know how, but the on going statics is unpredictable we think more wisely for better outcomes on any suggested coins, we don't want to give any statement to be not responsible for the future thought. Do what you think is good for gaining more.

Great position to open an order right now but it requires long term investment fast money will not be in this market!

Well yes I do believe that etherium is suitable for long term investments and it's because firstly, ethereum has gained a lot of popularity among the people all over the world and it's demand among the people all over the world is also increasing day by day. And because of all this it's price is increasing day by day. So after keeping all this in mind I do think that etherium is all set for long term investments.

I think ETC should still be done in a long-term holding because it will lose its essence as a good coin if people are just going to dump it away without any signs of price increase, it will really be useless. Especially nowadays when the market is still red.

For now the market is still on the problem but the good is that ethereum is still good to buy on for the early price of it. Ethereum support and the community behind of it is still continuing develop ethereum towards on success.

I think most coins are not safe investments for the short term, for etc it is good long term investment like bitcoin. I don't think it is at low price now but it is still good coin to invest in.

It was added to the coinbase and that means the hype for ETC has ended. I will not try to consider that as a good investment. A lot of people have been selling their stash on the coinbase news. it will worth for long term but i will not suggest you to hold it for short term and the fudamental support of ETC is so weak.

I don't have this type of ETC coin. If you look at the graphics on coinmarket, to be honest I am a little hesitant about the future of this coin. Some time ago, this coin had been ranked in the top 10, then at this time ETC shifted to position 13. So, I haven't thought about buying this coin.

I'd go short-term. There was a pump a few weeks ago, but it was mainly because it got added on Coinbase Pro so people were waiting accumulating after the announcement to dump later. Same thing happened before it went live on Coinbase (if you look at the charts from last week, you'll see a drop, most likely the sell-off). So it followed a PnD pattern, don't know if it's going to continue being a PnD coin.

So they hype around ETC has died down, I don't know what's gonna happen in the future, but in terms of invesment, I would go for the short-term just to be on the safe side.

Usually if a coin new listed on a large exchange will only have a temporary high price, after that the price will decline again. Everyone who knows this news, they will take the opportunity to get profit.

Hei, this is about ETC not ETH so be aware what you're posting as I saw some replies talking about ETH. ETC and ETH are two different coins,Ethereum Classic and Ethereum. ETC was always a long term coins and it will remain like this as it's one of the top coins who had the lowers increase in price during the bitcoin pump so I will keep my eyes on ETC until this happens.

Ethereum is like a sealight for me. It should always be needed in all portfolios in my opinion. I have none information about the ethereum classic.

ethereum classic will always remain under the ethereum shadow despite ETC being the original chain and ETH being the forked coin. so its long term potential is always going to be limited and also all the bugs in ethereum platform is more visible on ETC since it is the smaller  coin and that prevents it from real growth. not to mention that the ethereum foundation doesn't allow its price to rise, they will dump it down because they don't want a competition and they have the 70+ million premiened coins to dump for free!

is the depend about your financial if have a good money maybe can long term.
for me all altcoin in rank top15 is still good for short term but you must look the graph bitcoin because if bitcoin dump all altcoin red and recover need more time.

ETC is dead to me. I mean eth is great and all but etc really puts nothing more to discussion than eth, eth has everything etc has and than some. Why would anyone get etc when the eth is there. ETC is only alive for investment purposes, people have etc just because they want to buy and sell and make money, they do not have it because they believe in what the etc is doing is proper, the coin itself is already dead, its only there because people are trying to make money from it.

Basically what bitcoin cash to bitcoin is what etc is to eth. I think you should try to move away from it and try to get eth as much as you can with the money you make from selling your etc.

My answer is both Short-term and long-term. There will always be up and downs as some investors will always get in just to pump and dump it and go for another coin,  but as they are doing that there are still investors who will be going for it on a long-term.

So you will find out that the lowest as of now wouldn’t be the lowest as of when it was dumped and the lowest as of then will be a bit more above the lowest now.

As we can see in the graphic of eth's price that the value of eth never constant but fluctuative. Sometimes the price increase and sometimes its decrease, and this condition is normal. But in my opinion eth still alive and can give more profits. If i refer the price of eth in one year, i optimist that eth can survive and the price will be increase again in few months later. So, eth can be long term investation.

I keep a little ETC I really like the coin and believe in the growth, the only question is when will this growing up? Was very good news from the project in April-may and everyone said that there's a huge growth ETC, but it never happened. So, I'm inclined that this coin only in the long term. All will depend on the market if it goes up, then ETC will start to grow used to not believe in growth.

Despite low prices compared to Ethereum, Ethereum Classic is still an important digital asset with a strong community. Ethereum Classic is still underperforming ETH's top asset but is capable of providing outstanding cash and promising long-term growth.

I think that Ethereum Classic is an excellent coin. By the end of this year the price of etc will reach $50. I think the price of eth in the year 2020 will reach $80.

I believe that ETC coin is gonna be huge for the future. We have already witnessed its big jump for these years. And many good news are keep coming to this coin. So if this news is going to continue, then ETC will be a good coin to hold for the future.

Only the fact that ETC was added to Coinbase already talking about a lot. I would not look at the Etherium Classic as short term investment. Coinbase is a digital currency exchange which cooperates  in around 32 countries, it will play a positive role in further ETC growth.

ETC is on the rise, so investing in ETC is perfectly reasonable, but the issue of long-term or short-term investment depends entirely on your judgment and assertiveness.

I would say if you are going to hold a coin like ETC then it would be for the long term. Reasons being thta coins like ETC do not seem to do much growing inth eshort term but if you hold the coins for a while then the coins end up doing really well when the market starts to bull but if you are just buying for the short term then you might end up making losses.
