Title: A simple guide on how to Structure your whitepaper
Post by: 666uazan on August 25, 2018, 10:46:44 AM
ICO White Paper Template
There is no universal or prescribed format or a template for a White Paper for ICO. The structure of a white paper entirely depends on the nature of the project. Some of the organizations prefer to have a technical and detailed white paper while others prefer to adopt a marketing or commercial white paper template to attract not so tech-savvy investors as well. Thus, the selection of white paper template depends on your target audience. It shouldn’t be too technical to comprehend. At the same time writing a very simple White Paper may not impress your target audience.

However, an ICO White Paper must contain the following:

Abstract
The Problem or challenges in the existing market
The solution and Product
Project Implementation – How tokens work with the project. The technical, economic and legal aspect of the tokens
Why should you Invest
ICO Details
The team behind the project
Token Deployment and Future Plans
Conclusion
An ICO white paper may have 20-40 pages depending on the nature of your project. It must contain the necessary details required to answer technical and non-technical questions by prospective token buyers.

That is a really great post right there, I have seen a lot of posts in recent days where people were asking for help to write their own whitepaper but they didn't know that the guidelines were easily accessible on the web. So, it is great that someone has finally posted it here. People who are interested to starting new ICOs should definitely check this out.

These steps/guidelines are already available on the internet but still, there are dilemma among people on how to create their first Whitepaper. To be honest, I feel like it is easier to take reference from a white paper that belongs to a succesful ICO and try to write yours accordingly. Since, I have worked closely with some ICO projects I have seen them using this technique quite often.

A whitepaper must be written by the people involved deeply in the project, I assume. Whitepaper must have the transformation of the data into a nice representation. Whitepaper holds the eye of the interested investors. So before writing, a deep research on how to make it best should be done.

This guide is designed for tokens, but what about coins with their own blockchain? It requires a more extensive white paper.

Well, That was a good post. The whitepaper is the most important thing to showcase the project's potentiality in the future so as to maintain the standard people should look for the experienced one to write this out. Otherwise, it will just be a blunder.

I have seen many ICO projects which don't maintain the standard of the whitepaper. It creates bad impression on the project. I think every project management team should follow the rules.

A WhitePaper does not have to have most of the items you've cited. This is a guide to an ICO proposal to receive investments. White Paper is one of the documents commonly used in these proposals. Aspects as the past of the developers. Profit projections, why someone should invest etc. fit into other documents.

The Bitcoin Whitepaper has virtually none of the items you cited. Yet it is the most successful project of all. Whitepaper should be technical and simple. Demonstrate the problem and the solution you want.

I agree with your suggestion because it is not all about just writing a whitepaper but the whitepaper will contain vital information about your project ideas and this should be convincing enough for you to gain the trust of investors and if it is not well written, the project might not be a success so before you write a whitepaper, be sure of the project and state all points clearly.

A whitepaper should be very simple and structured in a way traders would understand. The structure of any whitepaper should make provision for Abstract to inform the participants on the summary of everything as regards the ecosystem at a glance. Introduction should be the next chapter followed by features and the problems the system seek to address. Thereafter, the targeted audience and the market strategy should follow before mentioning of token sales and distribution. Respectively, the last three should be the Team, Road Map including all the major steps in the development of the Ecosystem and Summary of all that is included in the structure.

Very good and very helpful articles for other members, so they can make a whitepaper with their native language.
I admit that I can't make a Whiepaper but I am present for this forum every day and it is better for my feelings than making a whitepaper.
