I just joined the forum recently, but have been passionate about BTC for a while.

I'm female and since I'm an economist and finance quant, I love BTC. So yes, there are girls that like BTC and cryptos.

haha they just want to njoy it , but not ready to indulge in the risk involved while dealing with cryptos Typical ..! but  a thumps up to Ladies who really understand the concept of crypto and then also understands the opportunities ..! 

im a girls also just curious about this btc i started to earn and then when i have 1 or 2 i will just left it on paper wallet or cold storage and then i will see if the price is high i will sell it and smoke some weeds ;D

we do have girls on board but not alot  and why the opening post picture have all the asian looking girls in it not being a racist though  !!! ;D ;D ;D

Right now it's mostly a nerd thing, so you have the same thing as video games: 90% males, 8% females (top half of the image, see all the "girls gone bitcoin" subreddits), 2% females (bottom half of the image).

If I'm not mistaken, that's a South Korean singing group with the name 'Girls Generation'  so you see, it's a joke.  Kind of a pun.

I may be wrong though. . .I'm no expert on korean singing groups. . . and . . . not to be racist. . .but. . . I sometimes struggle to tell them apart.

Why is it that so many people make the poor assumption that females don't use Bitcoins? Rationally, I'm guessing less than males via the forum's data of saying so.


The bottom image reminds me of a female version of me. Pfft, strange. I don't binge play video games or talk aimlessly on forums...

I'm not saying that we should force women into this if they aren't interested, but from my experience, when I start talking about bitcoin to women, they are intrigued and say "how come I've never heard of this?". Almost every woman who I have "pitched" bitcoin to has gone and invested in it. Wouldn't it be great for overall adoption if the other half of the population was more education about it? I'm not by any means I female programmer, I don't know anything about linux or html, but I still make a shit load of money everyday day trading bitcoins. I even started accepting bitcoins in my online shop!

It is very simple mathematics.

1 btc = 600 usd X women love dollars = women love btc.

Well I have been talking to some of my friends about it and strangely enough
When one discovers that you can buy nice shoes using it at one of their favorite online stores
Things started to change and their interest grew ;D

of course girls love bitcoin.. it's basically money, or a means of exchange to get goods or services you like or want. they are just generally not interested in the techy side behind it.. but the thing is, they don't need to.

My gf likes bitcoin already, too bad she didn't back her wallet up and then her HD crashed after accumulating .3 BTC from faucets.

she must be an OG if she got .3 btc from faucets. it would probably take something like a year at today's rates.

I find it interesting how men seem to be so much more involved in... everything that happens online. With the exception of maybe pinterest and tumblr.

BTC was in the double digits two years ago. Faucets paid out a lot more, and btc for tasks programs paid in the hundreds of uBTC per each task. All of the rates are cut by more than 10x nowadays, even though the prices are not 10x higher.

I'd like to try and recover her HD and get her BTC/doge back.
