Hey guys, first post here so please forgive me in advance if I'm not doing something right; was wondering whether I could pick your brains for some help.

I from Hong Kong to Australia a few years back. I have a balance in a Hong Kong Paypal account. Since its just sitting there, i recently thought id just buy some Bitcoin/Ethereum/Litecoin with it. This would be my first time buying crypto.

However, that seems to be very difficult. Its my first time trying to buy bitcoin and it appears that every site that allows to use Paypal for buying bitcoins has very bad reviews. How would you do it if you were me? I have a Hong Kong ID and also a Polish passport (if that helps in anything). Thanks heaps!

Another alternative might be buying Bitcoin directly from someone here with a trusted reputation, or using an escrow. There are many users here with a trusted reputation and has been selling/buying Bitcoin with PayPal such as sapta (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=347141), check his trust history).

I'd avoid using those anonymous sites where there is no guarantee that you can get your money back and it's hard to track the owner.

As far as i know these sites are not secure for you because you may lose your money and you also can't track the owner.

I don't think it safe or cheaper to buy bitcoin with paypal.Moreover paypal it is against paypal's Terms of Service buying crypto currencies.You can withdraw paypal balance into your bank account and can but bitcoin for cash locally on the sites like localbitcoin or paxful

Either buy from a very trusted member on this forum's 'Currency Exchange' section on the 'Marketplace" board (don't just trust anyone as PayPal could be charged back easily and it happens more than often here), or exchange with a trusted trader on LocalBitcoins, however, bear in mind that PayPal/bitcoin exchange has a considerably fat fees averaging around 9–10%.

You should buy bitcoin in other way. You should buy bitcoin using reliable site or you can buy from reputed users using reputed site directly. I think it is not possible for you to buy bitcoin or any crypto currency in this way.

I would advise you to use the exchange offices where you can pay with paypal. For Example Cex.io. I often use it and it is a reliable exchanger.

Currency exchangers are usually scam. I would prefer localbitcoin.com
You can find sellers there who accept paypal. Chose your seller and buy btc from them.
But remember paypal payza always can charge back. But if you no longer use your paypal, you are safe. I use localbitcoin service. They have security measures and i had no issue using their services. But that is upto you

In each case, you need to be careful and check where you're sending, clarify everything in detail and most importantly ask about his transactions that were conducted earlier, and ask other people.
