Title: Do you remember your first sports bet?

This is my story about how once I finally muscled up the courage to place a “huge bet” I was trolled by the sports betting gods for a merciless 6 hours and 5 minutes. At the end of my story, I hope you will be able to understand the intense thrill and rush one experiences when actually watching the game unfold before their own eyes and how you should never – ever – consider a bet “in the bag” before the game has actually ended, because if you do, you may experience something like I did – shenanigans come in all shape and sizes, and miracles tend to happen just at the right moment when you have your big bet on…sometimes for a thrilling joyride of emotion when you’re on the positive end of the outcome and other times for an end result of frustration, disappointment, and complete and total shock when you are on the losing side of it.

I don’t remember my first sports bet exactly no, it was a parlay. I can’t remember what I put in it but I do remember that it lost. It seemed to set a precedent for my gambling career :D

It hasn’t got much better since :)

I do not remember the first time I bet or the first time I gamble. I do not remember if I won or lose either. But whenever or whatever the result is, it is the time I started to become interested in gambling. It do happen to me that I am very confident but at the end, I lose so I got bunches of dissapointments. From that , I do not let myself become addicted to gambling coz I think I will lose big.

Yup, and it was HORRIBLE, did not do any kind of research between two teams and I ended up betting on the wrong team, the game was one-sided and I did not even know any info on who's gonna win, and the sports that I betted in was not even my kind of forte, it was football, and I waa very bad at it, and worst at it when it comes to betting, so my first time betting in sports was really not memorable.

But my first sports bet gave me a profit because I knew that which team may win after my homework and lucky that I won that bet. Betting was done in directbet site so I love that site for sports betting.

Until today I'm in profit in sports betting but only bet on few selected matches. I'm not a regular gambler but I lost some of those profits in casino games.

My first sport betting site was directbet.eu and I was bet on final match.
I'm predict the result draw 0-0 and it made me earn profit 0.07 ( was bet 0.01 )
It's felt amazing when you can experience massive win at least once in your life !

I did bet on soccer when I first bet in real life, but the first bet I did was not so impressive because I only bet on a little money and I did continue to win bets until in the end I lost everything after experiencing a big loss on my bet.

The first sports betting I've ever made has been happening long time ago and I don't remember exactly when it was. It's at a soccer match and the cause was a friend's persuasion. From there I was addicted to betting regularly. And at the end, I stucked at a bad situation. What a bitter experience!

I remember clearly it wasn't bitcoin betting it was regular sports betting in my country. It was years ago and at that time kobe bryants lakers was playing against celtics on the finals and I was capable of betting on lakers at the right time and I went to bed hoping lakers would win because both I wagered on lakers winning and on top of that I was rooting for lakers since I am a huge lakers fan. Well they did not, celtics won that one and lakers lost and I was sad for both for my lakers to not get the ring and plus lost money on my first ever sports bet. At least ever since than I was capable of making decent returns on NBA games, won multiple of what I wagered, NBA specially on playoffs do not make any surprises, whoever suppose to win usually wins every time.

I do remember! Tho I am not a huge sports fan, I enjoy watching NBA and that's when I started to bet on my team. Those were the days when a lot of people here were giving tips on which team to bet so I often bet on parlays. Good ol' days when I always win.  :D

Directbet was my go to back then, because I like the fact that they don't require an account on betting. It makes it more convinient for someone like me who only bet occasionally. Too bad tho that they have decided to close their service last year.

Whatever to say about DirectBet odds it was great service with huge database of international sports.sport betting is poorly supported by crypto betting services.I can't bet on horse racing
There is not possible to bet on worldwide football leagues it was all  possible  with DirectBet
His support was really fast also

I started betting long before Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin  :D I think my journey began on the Betfair exchange. I was green and inexperienced and didn't know what I was doing. If I remember correctly I got lucky a couple of times and got that false sense of complacency which led to some disastrous miscalls that wiped me out. I am not completely sure about my first ever bet though - it was either football or ice hockey. Nevertheless I learned some hard lessons that shaped me as the bettor I am today.

OP, I read your story about first bet. It's quite a long and interesting, despite that I didn't understood everything because I don't know anything about baseball :D.
Personally, I don't remember my first bet. I just remember that I was under 18 years old and I wasn't allowed to use sportsbooks. So, I searched a lot for sportsbooks which don't require KYC and allow to bet using e-money systems like PayPal, Webmoney or Perfect Money. Then I found something, signed up and deposited few bucks and made one or few bets. I believe I bet on some basketball or football games. But I can't remember, did I won my first bet or no :D. Well, I have some more important things to remember, rather than my first bet.

My first sports bet was many years ago. I decided to try online sports betting which I'm not too familiar with. I personally prefer to wager on casino games myself because I'm not a sports fan. Anyway, so I wagered $50 on a tennis match and lost it. I wagered a few more times on different sports events and lost the money again :) I only wager on casino games now.

I did not bet so often in sports matches, but I remember that at one time I made a bet on the Champions League final between Juventus vs. Barcelona, both teams were the team I liked, but I suffered a defeat because I bet for Juventus, judging from the match Previously Juve competed well and were entitled to win the 2015 Champions League title, but Juve suffered a defeat by Barca even though Juve had the lead first.

For my first bet, I don't recall so much, but I know that I won it and it's in the NBA. It was with my friend, and I told them that I would bet on this and that. It's all about luck in my opinion. I know that I bet it around $20 and it's a lot for me at that time since I was around high school I think. It's considered a bet because I risked money hoping for a reward and I won for the first time then lost the second time and gained profit for the third time. That is what I remembered because if not, I would be in debt.

Tried to track it down. Think it was Brad Tavares to defeat Phil Baroni back in 2011.

I remember watching that season of the ultimate fighter. Brad Tavares was in the semi finals against Court McGee. Tavares was winning the fight up until Court McGee hit Brad Tavares with a low blow. The illegal strike completely changed the course of the fight and Court was able to pull out the win via being dirty.

I bet on Brad Tavares a lot early on in his career when he was a hot prospect.

I don't remember my first sports bet because I only remember that I collaborate with my friend which familiar with sports bet and I send some amount to him so we can place big bets. I forget to ask him what sports that he place the bet and I remember that we can win the games and makes good money from the game. actually, I am not good at sports so sometimes I send the money to my friend and he chooses the game that he knows and place the bet.

Just checked my account history at my bookmaker's website and I can see that my first ever bet was on a football match between Belgium and Sweden, back in 2014.
I know for sure that this is my first bet, since that's the only sports betting website I've ever played on.

Ended up winning my bet and getting around 75 euro. Belgium won 2 - 0 :P

My first bet was on the cricket match between India and Pakistan. That time both teams were almost equally balanced so odds were almost equal. I think odds I got was 1.7 for India winning the match and I won that bet. I was new to bitcoins that time and that win gave me a lot of thrill but didn't carry on with that because I knew that maybe I was lucky that day.

Ohh great, OP has a great story on his first betting.
I remember my worst experience I ever had in betting when was fun of playing online games, I and my classmate had a bet through a mobile game "Mobile Legend" and the payment was Bitcoin, at the time bitcoin was so expensive around 8k dollars. Unfortunately, I did not make a win in my first bet in crypto. But those days are unforgettable for me when I saw people playing that online games.

For now, I personally stay away on that betting since that just like in gambling so risk and I think I am not lucky enough for it.

P2P yes, way back many years ago.

Sports betting around 2016, purely tennis and basketball matches. And just like the rest of us, you win some and you lose some. Currently, I'm not playing any bets but I'm looking on something big in boxing like the GGG vs Canelo II which will be next month.

Not on online gambling but here in my country, gambling between people are the most preferred ones. Since it's a hassle back then to bet online plus the fact that internet activity is not that present that time, the traditional way of betting on a sports is between people or groups. As a usual system in sports betting, it has odds and own set of rules. Since I have knowledge on that sports, I used it as my reference in choosing a proper bet. Luckily,  I achieved great numbers of winning streaks during the first phase of sports betting journey. And the rest is history...

Some people believe beginner's luck but there is no beginner's luck here :)

You are taking seriously the "beginners luck" belief. :)

Most people really experienced good luck at their first time gambling that's why they called it as beginners luck. Literally no such thing like that but we can't take away the fact that it really happened to anyone.

Everybody's have a story to tell about his/her first sports bet and majority of us all loose our first sport bet simply because we are still inexperience of the rules cause most of us bet with the money we shouldn't bet with and we dont do it for fun.
I could also remember my very first sport bet (UEFA 1999/2000) Real M. against Valencia which all happened through the game fever and lucky to have won.

At my age I do not remember the first time I bet or play gambling. But for sure that is a good first time since I do love to spend time in gambling. As of my experience, when we have a positivity in our body or in our aura when we play, we attract good vibes so more chances of winning. But it is also the reason why we become disappointed coz we think we will win but no we lose.

I am just a kid that moment and I am Happy that my winning price is shared with my siblings because I just bet in a small amount and yet I won a big amount, and in my young age I don't need a big amount so I just share it to my sibling, and they are totally happy.  ;D I think their happy faces are the real price for me.

Yes I do. But it is not an online bet. Gambling is illegal in my country, while the illegal sports betting is worth millions. Even though gambling is portrayed bad there are lot of people who are so addicted to it. Coming back to the topic, me and my friends really loved Cricket and we used to bet with other friends. First it was for candies then eventually we bet money as time passed by. That was my first sports bet.

I actually do remember, my first sports bet was just a few years ago when I started getting into boxing. This was when Anthony Joshua was facing the reigning heavyweight champion Charles Martin for the WBC (or was it IBF) belt.

I bet that Charles Martin would lose by either TKO/KO or RTD within 3 rounds, however Anthony Joshua was already the bookies clear favorite to win so I only won about 40% more than my original stake. However, I've continued to bet on AJ winning his next few fights and have turned around quite a significant profit since then.

So what is the result? Did you win that game or not? In my first sports bet, I can win the game although I don't know what match my friends choose, I only know that my friend has a good knowledge of football. Until now, if my friend tells me that he wants to place abets in sports bet, he always offers me to join with him or not, and if I agree, I will send the money to him and let him place the bets.

I don’t remember my first sports bet exactly no, it was a parlay. I can’t remember what I put in it but I do remember that it lost. It seemed to set a precedent for my gambling career :D

It hasn’t got much better since :)
Like you and many others my first bet was in football match. Mostly gamblers start from sports betting, most of us played something, for fun or professionally, and passion to watch big games and make some occasional bets is how it all starts. Now I like to play poker and dices more than to bet on sports, but I still do it from time to time when I watch some game I like to place a bet on that game, its more interesting.

It was long ago. Me and my school friends were watching UFC Pride championships of 2000. Did any of you bet or watch these things at that time? We've decided all to pick our best fighters from the start and bet on them throughout the tournament. My pick was Igor Vovchanchyn. He had a great fighting style, very entertaining to watch and he finished second in the tournament. The good old days.

Yes,I do which happened long ago at my teenage and I bet on an online number prediction game and never won it even though I keep predicting and betting so many times then only I realize that probability of winning on those games are merely none so now I stopped betting on them and now just going for bets on dice and the sports betting which is quite popular and hassle free in my opinion.

Very remember a few years ago maybe about 10/11 years ago more precisely,At that time I did not know anything about sports but some of my friends invited endlessly I finally agreed and whether I not know the results won or not well by the way my money was definitely lost.I seem to have been cheated.

Lol. Mine was a local cockfight several years ago. If you don't count the bettings made by friends on anything we get our interest on. That's when i first won and lost money on making bets and sadly i realized it's at the expense of poor chickens.

I remembered that my first sports bet was when I was ten age when the national football league happened, I bet with my father, and if I win, he will buy for me the toys, lol. This bet is wholesome, and now sometimes I bet with my friend some match of Prieme League because my favorite team is Manchester City. And each bet I will earn $20 if Manchester City win.

I believe mine was Real Madrid vs some other small team.
Have own almost US$ 700. Was just :o
That means you gamble with a bet amount of around $7k because when you take a bet a small team vs a big team like Real Madrid then the odds for Real Madrid to win will be very small, maybe around @1.1? gambling directly with a large bet amount for the first time gambling is a brave thing mate ?

No matter if that is a small bet or not, at least you can get the first time winning in sports bet because not all people can win in their first time. So I think you got your luck works perfectly for you and if you have another knowledge of soccer, maybe you can try your luck again ;D

But if you don't have any experience or knowledge about sports, then I think you should be careful if you want to place a bet in the sports bet because you don't know if your luck will come again to you or not ;D

I love and know the stakes in betting in Basketball, specifically the NBA, it wasn't a bet wherein I used crypto, it was 3 years ago, GSW has a game against OKC then I knew that it was going to be a close battle, I placed my bet for GSW since I am a big fan of the splash brothers, It ended up very close and I thought that there will be am overtime but Curry went for a very deep 3 then it ended up getting the W, I was the only one who placed a bet for GSW, a lot of the people put their bets for OKC, it ended up so good that I got a lot of profit through that bet, and they xalled it beginner's luck for me, they were very pissed but I got the money and went home with a smile in my face.  ;D

I've done sport betting but I do not know if that is counted.

That is the NBA Finals of 2010 where in the Boston Celtics is tied up at LA Lakers. Game 7 of that time and the hype is there. A lot of people in my place are asking where to bet though I don't know what to say since I can't create a one team bet since I am a supporter of Boston Celtics at that time and if they ask me, I will say Boston Celtics and in the end they all end up betting for Boston Celtics and I have no options to choose so I end up betting on LA Lakers. It is not good since I am rooting to other team and TBH I am still rooting for them in the game. 4th Quarter of that game, BC is leading 3 points and then Fisher made a 3 in which we are all devastated and then I realized I did bet on LA but I am rooting for BC. LA won that game, I am sad but well, I won.

Not actually but it was in sportsplay. I don't know if the site still works though. I used to bet in NFL and MLB in that site before and took 3months or more I guess that I have stayed there. As usual the result is failed. The highest amount I gained was $30 but the withdrawal amount required was $100. Until that $30 turn back to zero, that's the time I leave the site.

But a mistakes are our good teacher be careful. The first bet that I mad online is using planetofbets. I don't know if the site is still up but I use their site because they we're able to list the basketball games in our country, both professional, collegiate and amateur. I switched to other platforms like Betcoin.ag but after reading numerous negative feedback I switched to another site which is Nitrogensports. But recently I found Onehash and never looked at another online betting site.

I remember this local betting sports game back then where you will bet based on the ending score on a local basketball game. The game is televised and all people can watch. Of the winning score for example is 94-98,the ending combination would be 8-4, the winning team would be the first number. There are 90 combinations including 0-0. The odds are surely 1:100 but if you win, your $2 will become $170. The remaining $30 is for the house.

I don’t understand why we need to do lots of research in gambling? I think most of the gambler don’t care on this anymore its too hard and time consuming, they will just play and ignore this step.

I won in that event and got my winning amount credited soon after the match got over. During those days directbet.eu was the most popular gambling website for Cryptocurrency.

Here in my area, sports betting will be so crowded especially when there is a big soccer's event like world cup, euro cup and so on. And through such event, I knew sports betting. It was a long time ago but I can't remember on what match I put my money in. It was an offline gambling and there was only one market that I can play. It was asian handicap. But now, when I already know online gambling, I can play at any market from a single match, which is good because we have a bunch of choices.

If you are the house nor the collector then you wont really care at all as long you do accumulate funds from bettors since you know you do have the advantage in every game.
For bettors I don't really see the reason for you to make lots of research because most likely this would still depend on luck. Why would make yourself hassling on things which isn't really relevant at all?
Back to topic my first sports bet is on Basketball though.

my first sports bet was on a game arcade called video karera .  it was a kind of horse racing game back in the days. The mechanics of the game are simple , you just need to insert a coin and then choose your own number ( horse ) .  if you won , the machine will drop coins  depending on the amount that you bet  .

That was a cool sports betting game but it is considered illegal and if ever police finds its in your place , they will  smash the machines  and charge the owner for violation  .

This is a nice one, where you can bet at a small amount of money and earn big of course. I used to bet on this when I was a child and its fun to see because almost all people are watching basketball and right after the game they will go outside to witness and know who won the prize that night.

The most common sports bet was basketball though it depends on each country of what is the most famous sports game because some of us may have soccer, baseball, tennis, boxing, etc., depending on what sports do you like the most.

Anyway, that was some awesome experienced in my life before while you watch the live game though i am not into it anymore due to the busy life of living like a normal person. But now, I just put my bet and never watch the game during that day but instead, i just watch the replay after the game is done.

Honestly, I don’t make much money on gambling because I prepare more to trade than to go to casinos. I bet in some sports locally, but that’s not my first time. I just remember my last lost and its about a $50, which is already a big money for me.

If I remember correctly, my first sports bet is last year and its NBA that I bet. As a first timer, I used a small amount of money to bet and luckily I won then used all my funds to bet again and won. I think I have tripled my starting fund in gambling but I lost all of it on just one game when I lost on it. I felt angry to myself because I didn't think of diversifying it into different games but I took it as a lesson and every time I gamble, I often gamble on 3 or more games not only one game.

I'm sure you are not the only one who gamble on sports in real life. I think before sports online betting exist, all sports lovers were gambling in real life against their friends, neighbors, etc or maybe there were some offline casinos for sports betting.
I did my first sports betting against my friends as well when I was on high school. It was Final Match of 1999's Champions League, not betting much money as I was still a student. Only around $2 if I remember it correctly, but of course $2 was a big amount for me at that time LOL.

Now.seeing too many betting platform is good especially some.are established already and working as well. I guarantee that since I had also been into it experience the kind of fun I have in betting until now. Just join a good betting platform and you are good.

Yes, when in high school, where our teens began to grow and I admit that most students don't have much money in their pockets, and every first gambling will definitely be done with nearby friends and can also be an offline casino I feel free to visit on the side of the road, it is undeniable that we live in a childhood that does not know the online world as it is now, where all of our needs can be done online now.

Yep, 1998. 5 pairs, one was Galatasaray.
It was only few euros stake, in local currency, for around 35€  ;D

I remember watching teletext on TV and saw that I didn't get any right.

2h later, for unknown reason, I checked again whereupon I realised I got all correct.
Turns out the 1st time I read half time score and I actually won xD

if im not mistaken my first sport bet would be jai alai  . its a kind of illegal gambling but that depends on how the collector handle the bets .  there are some cities that jai alai is legal because they are being protected by higher authorities and they also pay for thier taxes  .  jai alai is being played live every 12 midnight   and there are 10 players  .  you can choose 3 numbers rumble or target  .  winnings also depend on your bets .

i bet for almost half a year on this game ( on and off ) but i think i only won for about 3 to 5 times  .  the game is hard if you arent betting for many possible combination  .

I made a similar mistake. I bet for the first time on a soccer match and won which surprised me since I was not expecting a win. This bolstered my confidence which is why I decided to continue betting and kept winning raising my profits considerably over a short period of time.

Finally, my hot streak ended and I ended up losing majority of my profits and was literally left with very little profit as a result of my overconfidence which ended up being a hard lesson to learn from.

Losing control while betting is a sure shot way of losing all your money.

Yeah it still fresh in my mind. My first Sportsbet was the World Cup Final 2006, France vs Italy, where the legendary Zinedine Zidane headbutt and Materazzi trashtalk happen. I was just a teenager back in that day. I don't know if betting as a teenager is illegal or not in my country, but I register on the betting site using a fake birthday of course. I bet $50 and that was a lot of money for me in that time, and fortunately, I won. I forgot how much I won, but that's really feel good.

Crystal Clear, It was way back 2008 when Celtics and Lakers face off for the NBA Championship. (Though, It's not on online betting site or whats so ever), It's a sort of Classic betting especially here in the Philippines online betting is not that known to everyone. Going back, It was also my first lost in sports betting. I'm quite a Lakers fan that time (up until Kobe's retirement), given that the odds are in favor of Celtics that time I still put my bet on Lakers. Well, I'd lost over $100 and a broken heart Haha. Though got my sweet revenge in 2009 and 2010.

That was a great final! I remember watching that game like it was yesterday.  It was a total shock when Zidane decided to headbutt his opponent.  Zidane is an all time great but he really should of had better composure than to do something so silly which ultimately costed France the title.

I don't really bet. I have had betting timeframes, so to speak, on and off, but always for measly 1-3 euro per slip and not many slips to begin with.
I mostly threw few € just as summers started to see if I could get some extra drinking money :D

I had a short bwin career, I got 600€ once for a 14€ bet, but that's almost it from big winning.

I would probably say I'm down, bot since it's over 20 years and only small amounts that I can afford to lose.....no biggie xD

I remember that it was superbowl fight between greenbay Packers and Denver Broncos in which we as group with my co workers in government
And that bring me losses coz we gamble for half of our monthly compensation, and the next betting happens here in crypto

I do not remember my first sports bet but it was nearly two years ago after I started using bitcoins. I was afraid to use credit card on sports betting site but bitcoin gave me opportunity to bet and I won my first bet on a scorer match.

Can't remember anymore when exactly, but it's been a long time already.
My first game was actually dice, but when I find out sports betting, I made myself focus on it because I can feel that I have better results.
Actually, most of the games in crypto are fun but every individual has their own game preference, if only I have a lot of free time, I would have increase my gambling hours in crypto gambling sites.

It was a historic match with full drama you know, and of course there were many people who gambled that year, including myself. in that year France had a very great squad, but Italy was also surprisingly able to make it to the finals even though there were still many problems in the association's body of football in their country, thats why I choose France, but unfortunately I lost, bad luck

well my first sports bet was back in 2000-2001, I am pretty sure there were 4-5 matches combined (definitely had Lazio on it), those were great years (odds were more logical and sound), was easy to earn money. Nowadays its tougher, those safe bets come with silly low odds, and I allow myself to say safe bets don't exist.

I posted it here before, but I just wanted to clarify some things with how I lost back then was the time I realized to actually gamble with using my wit instead of just watching the game, its all about making the right predictions and knowing when will be the right time to place your bet, though its a secret of mine and it's really effective for me at least, all you have to do is place your bets and just simply believe in the team you are betting for, and that's one of my techniques in sports betting.  8)

Wow you must be blessed because your winnings are more often than lossing . we all know that gambling is a game of luck and its hard to win  .  like others i dont also remember my first sports bet because that was a long time when i was still a kid .  the bet was made from fiats or local currency but these days im not gambling locally anymore .   ever since crypto came out , i only use crypto because that is more easier and anonymous than playing outside using fiats  .

Back then I was betting just from pure luck on teams that I knew or liked their names. I wasnt doing any research on the teams, players, recent form and all other things like that. yes, I really remember in 2008 the champions league final between Manchester United vs Chelsea. at that time the bet is full game or who the winner is, whether it be extra time or until the penalty shootout. I choose Chelsea because I like Lampard. but finally lost on a penalty shootout, and my $ 100 at that time had to be lost  :D

I not remember exactly my first bet, but i remember in past some years ago, i could win a lot of money but i lost the ticket on a single football match when Lyon lost the match playing home. Was more football games on ticket but that was the only bet lost.

There are too many bets i have played that it is hard for me to remember too. However i still remember my first big loss in a World Cup fifa Match where Sweden win against Germany and i was betting of the Germans. However i learnt that day not to invest more in a single bet as it can completely make the balance zero if the results are not as expected.

At times things just do not go our way and we feel more bad when some top ranking person loses whom we have faith of winning and do bet a lot of money on a single bet assuming we will be winning this easily. But another thing is that always bet only which we can afford to lose.

I remember my first bet as it was yesterday. It 2017–18 World Boxing Super Series Usyk vs Huck.
I didn't know much about Ukrainian boxer, but heard a lot about Marco Huck. It was a risky bet, but I put money on Usyk and he won. I could believe that I doubled my money so easily.

The next day I've made a betting spree. Made a lot of small bets and lost everything  ;D

does the first gamble do not give you a deep impression so you can't remember it? lol
I myself first played gambling when I was a dozen years old and still in school, actually it was forbidden to gamble at that age, but because gambling was done secretly, it was not a problem. I play traditional gambling using dice, and paper with dice eyes on it, and you only need to put your money in that number/eyes of dice 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. yeah the possibility of winning is small, but i won and it was good enough profit for me

Most of the gambling games would make us win because that's their strategy in order to acquire more players to bet for. Sadly when you turned addicted to it, you won't go longer but eventually loss your capital money. Same with what I experienced from previous years when I got involved with sportsbetting, which I lost about $50 and more. All games was enjoyable and I was happy about that experiences, but unfortunately after such betting frustrations came over due to losses which was harder to recover.

I think most of the loses we make while gambling is out of greed. I remember my first gambling vividly. There was  an offline gabling location near me and then I was in high school, I had sacrificed my 3days lunch money to play that bet on that good day, maybe I should say I was truly lucky, it was my first time and for a sport game which I wasn’t so good with sport.

All predictions I did  came out right and I won over X5 of my money back, maybe I should have just gone back home or keep back a little money if I must play again but I put back all the money I won and that was how I lost it all again.

I cant even remember the teams that did battle on that day, i think it was liquid against some lower tier teams.

The experience was fun as a first timer on betting online while watching the team you are aiming for to win. But somehow i decided to bet on some football and amateur boxing match which i know nothing about and lost a couple of dollar a long with the great experience of enjoying the fight.

This is a perfect newbie mistake and everyone will have a similar story like this. The beginning bet almost everyone wins but then you become over confident and thinking about pursuing this on a daily basis and end up losing everything.
I started out for fun when you could make bets through landline phone for cricket matches a really really long back.

That is nice man. I assume you would have need millions of dollar in these last ten years. My first gambling experience had been in sports and it was a failure. But to be honest, I have been able to improve very much and it is your experience that helps you rise again. You do detailed analysis of the team you pick in gambling and predict the possible win. It is always a thrill when the match comes to the last stages.

Yes I was betting football that time and bet on seville vs. barcelona. Unfortunately I lost it. However, after some.bettings with other matches had made.me won some of it. So, there is really no regret and betting or even playing in casino is not that bad at all like to what other always saying about playing or gambling.

Now, since there are upcoming events like in the NBA so it will be a lot of fun in betting. I jusy hope that I get the right choice and manage to earn or win on  the bet.

Thanks for sharing your story OP. Mine seems less dramatic by comparison. It was a basketball bet. Don't remember the details coz it was way back in grade school. Yup, people start betting early where I live.

Basically there are these people in the neighborhood going around collecting bets (they get all the money if no one wins) and anyone can bet. My uncle pretty much used to watch every game and bets and so I tried it myself. Didn't win anything.  :-\

It was that time of the week that I was expecting to sit in my desk read some details about matches and bet in order to relax from the hectic pace of the week.
I selected 4 matches and I was busy that I couldn't track the results at that day so I managed to see if I won my bets the day after. When I realized that I won I was so happy that I called immediately my brother to announce it.
Sadly, this was the time that I started betting and gambling more!

This is really nice and you won the bet that sounds nice as I can feel you as I felt the same when I won the bet of cricket match between Pakistan and India, to be honest I was not expecting to win because this was my first time for betting but I was confident about the abilities of the players I was expecting to win of, and that was right i won and I still can feel that joy.

Those days when there's no online betting and most of the sports game that held by someone who holds the list of people who bet.

Ahhh gold and old days!

My first sport bet was basketball,
Back when I was in High School me and my friends would play basketball and sometimes there would be a group that would play with us and put up a bet just to add up some thrill.
But if it is just a bet on pro then my first sports bet would be on boxing I don't really remember it but it was one of Manny pacquiao's fight .

That's the experienced, it's remarkable when you got the chance winning against those who also bets with the same game, the person who collected the funds will not lose anything as they will get tips from the winner or if no one's able to make a lucky guess they will be the one who will win big time.

I also once to try being the collector and the profits is sure if you have a lots of people who will patronize the game.

I never know in the past that I could bet online in boxing, my first bet was not online off course, that was a card game AFAIR.
Manny Pacman has been winning a lot of fights as an underdog, if only I knew I can bet online with boxing, I would have won a decent amount of money.

My first bet was on dog races back in high school. I lost the first and won the 2nd bet. I think the odds were 5/1. Ended up buying coffee for my friends and being satisfied with my first day as a gambler.  ;D

I think you should consider yourself really lucky. You have a good history with betting by winning your first bet. I try as much as I can to avoid sharing the story of my first bet but then I realized its past now and I have gotten over it. I think I was still young then I i didn’t know much about gambling but my friends lured me to a casino center not far away from our home.

I saw how interesting the game was and then I tried playing with all the money I had kept back to buy a mobile phone the next day, and lo and behold, I lost it all to the game. It was really painful, but I have learnt more and that didn’t stop me from betting, am sure I have gained much more than what I lost that day. But it was really a sad day for me.

Yes, the guy who holds the funds will never lose anything instead he will win and get some cut from the total bet made by everyone.

Tip is just a plus.
