How high the percentage each of them until end of the year likely?
Portion to speculate to buy each?

I speculate that each of them can go 3x.
But Spectrecoin has smaller market,
Monero really had big name for privacy.

 I use to have XSPEC because I have bought some of it on cryptopia, it felt really great when it spikes sharply. XSPEC will have a lot to grow but you'd have to also see that popularity of XMR will also get you more profit. Is there any merchant right now that accepts XSPEC? I have no idea right now but I see monero to be stronger in this aspect.

Spectre has a projected annual inflation rate of 5 percent. It looks to me, this inflation is a bit on the heavy side when it come to cryptocurrency. Other than that, it's like Proof-of-Stake (PoS) Monero-like crypto with privacy features. How does staking work, at the same time maintaining the privacy of the users, is beyond me.

All in all, I don't see Monero being threatened here.

I think MONERO is more attractive to investors, hence, I think this coin is more promising. Personally, I would not invest in either of them.

I dont know as a trader, but as a holder Monero for sure pays off. Monero is only fungible crypto currency. And currency has to be fungible if what to succeed.   Why price of Monero will go up in 2019 and latter is because Monero emission keeps decreasing. IT is not like in Bitcoin halving every 4 years, but it decreases daily and in 2019 emission rate will get relay small.

I see many are talking about XSPEC here in speculation altcoins but for me I'll only go for monero. There's no other privacy coin that can be compared to Monero but its the best, IMO.

If you see an advantage with XSPEC for its staking, you decide.

As a long term investment, I chose Monero.

As of right now Monero is clearly the best privacy coin. Let's not forget 3 years ago XMR was around $0.50 and still working on fixing a lot of previous issues. That's how I'm treating XSPEC and will continue to hold both of these coins. 

For the person who was wondering how a PoSV3 coin can maintain privacy with staking, the devs are working on a proof of stealth (essentially anonymous staking) slated for Q1 2019. IF they succeed with that, I don't see any reason XSPEC can't be the PoSV3 version of Monero. Both use ring sigs, stealth addresses, XPSEC has native TOR integration while XMR is working on Kovri. Stealth staking and some version of RingCT would put them neck and neck tech wise, so I'll see how we look coming into 2020! Patience can be rewarded in this space.

imho xspec is worth a gamble. i researched a bit and it looks like the team is very active and if the coin hits the ath of january 2018 this will be a very nice rr.

Spectrecoin is the most undervalued privacy coin, so has great price potential.

I just don't think that their white paper, website, new development team, new road map and all that stuff has been priced in yet. People just don't know, they will soon tho!

If you're looking at the best possible gains - I'd say that XMR is rather "safe" investment, than a "money maker". Its like S&P500 stock.
You could do couple of X's at best, but like not much more than that.

Meanwhile XSPEC (or Spectrecoin) is a type "of your secret gem" (return wise, great USP technology/very low market cap) investment

I ve got a couple of arguments to consider in my opinion of why XSPEC will be massive:

First - it has USP (unique selling product) which is Stealth Staking (while Monero is on PoW)
Second - the price already hit 6 dollars at once, but with a change of the dev team and project management, that has created uncertaintly among users and overall bear market, it ultimately felt to where it started.

Now it starts to gain momentum back again:
- Last one or two months many Articles start to come out (Crypto community that specializes on research starts to notice)
- WhitePaper
- New Website
- Constant new version clients and work on automatic builds
- Stable funding mechanism
- GitHub activity

All those things point out that we have a potential "winner" here at current entry points

I actually hold both. Monero is obviously king at the moment but I have been concentrating on buying more xspec.

Spectrecoin has such a good product so far with constant development being made to ensure its privacy is exactly what it says, private. Ring signatures, stealth addresses and a professional audit upcoming, the team are going above and beyond to make this the top privacy count around.  These are some of the reasons I have been buying more as I really think this is a hidden gem (huge growth potential just to reach its previous ath)

Why keep both coins?
I believe that more money I will earn on the one that has a small capitalization.

I'm currently invested in Monero and Spectrecoin.Both coins offer fantastic privacy features. Monero has the higher marketcap but still has plenty of room for growth. The two things that attracted me to Spectrecoin are that it's a Proof of stake coin, you will earn around 10% per annum just holding your coins in the wallet. The second reason is stealth staking. Stealth staking will be implemented in Q1 2019. Stealth staking will allow the user to stake and be rewarded with untraceable coins. Both are solid projects.

monero to slow, but its have really good anonimity. monero problem is low speed transactions, big client(if you want fullnode) and proof of work(see on btc, pow consume too much electricity).

xspec for now have low cap and unknown. but this coin have good technologies like proof of stake, ring signature and included TOR+OBFS. in addition it block time 60sec so its pretty fast for anonimous cryptocurrency. if you buyinf for future then buy xspec.

monero has become the most successful and popular privacy coin from other privacy coins. all agree that privacy is very important and must be maintained, therefore I am sure the demand for privacy coins continues to increase and make good growth in the future.

If you are interested in privacy why don't look on zcash? They have the foundation that gets money from mining and can spend them on new development.

as a trader you should never love any coin or you will lose. a trader only loves the game (trading in the altcoin pump and dumps) not the pieces of the game (the altcoins).
you should be able to get in, and get out by dumping as speedy as possible so that you never lose any opportunity elsewhere in the market and can catch all the profits that you can.

I think monero is better long term hodl. It has been established as a good crypto project, people trust it, and technics behind it are amazing. Best private transaction coin in my book.

Most people find zcash better investment compared to monero, but in fact decentralization is much more important than technology. In the long term it has biggest effect for store of value coins.

If your looking for which will give you more profit in the long run the answer IMO is definitely Spectrecoin, "Xspec". They are working on a new Stealth staking algorithm that will make their POS staking system completely untraceable. This will put it on par with Monero but it will be POS not POW. Investing is always about having good foresight and it's an excellent opportunity right now to invest in Spectrecoin since not many people surprisingly have not heard of it. I have a feeling this will change soon. Both XMR and Xspec will net you profit but 100% the larger growth potential is with Xspec.

However, XMR ATH was $363. And from now it's a 3 times. But if market will up I'm sure we can see XMR much more expensive. And what about Xspec? As I know this confrontation between XMR and Xspec continue from the last year. And I don't see any solid reasons to believe Xspec more than XMR. Monero is the best coin in the market in terms of anonymity. It is stable, but it never brings a big income, it is good that there is not much loss with it. And the spectrum is quite a new coin and practically did not have large explosions and yet does not show all the strength. So the coins are completely different directions.

XMR may actually get profit and for those trying to play safe could be a safe spot to invest in but I do not expect it to have so much movement as the case may be anyway, considering it would not skyrocket as much as XSPEC may end up doing due to its very smaller market cap and the fact that it is the kind of market that gets to go pretty fast on the way up than the likes of Monero.

Anyway, all these are just assumptions as the market can decide to go as it pleases, and we may think to see x3 with Monero, and then see even more. I have been watching monero for years in poloniex but I have never observed any big movements with it but it was being traded rock-like solid and now it is trading above 0.015 BTC unlike litecoin or etheretum who were all crashed out in recent times.

I like Xpsec and bought one year ago. But the activity on telegram is low, several delays.
But there is only 20 millions tokens and available only few exchange.

Both are good coin to be honest. It is only low because the market is currently playing with us. But if the market goes well it will also skyrocket with coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin. All we have to do now is to wait and just keep on buying coins like this.

Looking at what goals you pursue, if you keep earned with minimal risk then of course it is XMR, if you want to earn and earn a lot ( of course risking), it is XSPEC. The product is absolutely functional, if you manage to implement Stealth, it will be a rocket without a doubt. POS algorithm gives more decentralization-no need to buy, place equipment (or virus infect other people's computers), all you need is a low-power laptop. For myself. I will buy Monero (XMR). Monero will always be among the best cryptocurrency in this market. With its anonymity, it will be the first choice for businesses. So I choose to invest in XMR in short and long term

With the XSPEC smaller market cap and all the hype around it, I am pretty sure it is really going to have a pretty huge growth as time goes on. Monero is more or less an established coin with a huge market cap already, so seeing x3 may actually not be far from becoming a reality.

XSPEC on the other hand have the capacity to have even more within a short period of time. I have been able to get some from Cryptopia though and waiting to see how it is going to be in coming weeks.

Your conclusions have the right to life. One remark: XSpec have much more risk than XMR. Monero is a time-tested project but Xspec is a quite dark horse with an unpredictable future and possible huge profit. Every makes own choice in this case.

I don't care what has happened in recent times. I made a thread on here some time ago about the lack of work and lack of any idea behind stealth staking, that thread played a big part in the old dev being called out and leaving the project.

The fact they did so poorly back then and promised features they had no design for is enough for me, if things have improved recently then that's great for those still holding this, but the past events got this black listed for me, also understanding how it works I see it bringing nothing new to the table, even if we forgot all the drama with it and look at the technicals, why is this superior to any other stealth coin out there?

Any way I'm not in the loop with this project in more recent times so I can't comment more than that, just simply saying to compare this to Monero is insane.

He made this thread just to try to get some noobs to buy into this shitcoin to unload his coins he got from swaping shadowcash.  That is his job. I see that in the future, Monero will grow well. It is worth buying it now because the price for this token is acceptable. Crypto investors should naturally think about modification of their portfolio, but they should live Monero in it for sure. It is anonymity still stays one of the best attractions of this cryptocurrency, which is very important for many crypto investors.
