Title: How can Identify a scam?
Post by: Dulhara githmanthi on August 28, 2018, 04:27:45 PM
We all know there are a lot of scam bounty campaigns in this field right now. But there are no ways to separate a good campaign and scam campaign. But we have some chance to find a good bounty by their whitepaper. If they reached at least their soft cap, That could be a food bounty. But that's not correct 100%. I want to find how could we find a good quality Bounty exactly.

There is no way to find good quality Bounty 100%. Because anyone can't say, what will happen to the project. Because you should have to refer all the details provided about the campaign. And also, read the whitepaper and official website of the campaign before taking part of any Bounty. You will have wise knowledge about the crypto with your works. Keep it up.

That's why you need to read a lot of article at this forum and go through some q&a post too, but since you mention a bounty campaign in general I suggesting you join campaign manage by some professional manager or the campaign that also listed on bounty platform like
https://bountyportals.com
https://bountyhive.io/
https://bounty0x.io/
https://bountyplatform.io/
https://www.crowdholding.com/
https://bountyhunters.io/

This question has been asked for some years by large investors and if there was a certain scenario, then I think it would have already been voiced. And in fact more than half of the market is deception and manipulation. I can more or less trust the first 500 coins and tokens.

yes sometimes it is difficult to understand the fraudulent project, maybe for those who are elderly and above already understand where the project is real and fraudulent, I only find fraud by looking at the names of teams that work continuously I see fake names because of faces they already have a previous project

It's very difficult to find a project which is not scam. In the last week I have deleted 2 of my Bounty programs because of scam. Before that I was careful to participate bounties which manager has rank hagher than Member. But it doesn't help too.

This is a very complex topic for discussion, many suggest to read the article, watch the videos, visit related websites. It all works and all this should be done, I want to add only one thing, even if all the sources say about the success of the project try to do your analysis, sometimes it is much more accurate of all sites and articles.

For you to detect or identify a scam project required a lot of patience and research because you have to know about the project you are investing in read articles about the project, read whitepaper, research about the team involved in the project.

It's tough to tell a scam ICO from face value, this is because scams can get well packaged and make it hard to detect. Still, there are ways to detect scams. The wordings on the website will be full of errors and too basic for a technical project, that's one way they give themselves away. Also, if they tell you the value the tokens will at the exchange and name exchanges they will list on even before the ICO, that's a huge scam right there. Run as fast as you can with your hard earned money!!

The whitepaper contains almost everything about a project, a careful scrutiny on whitepaper will greatly help in reducing the chance of joining scam bounty.
The project public presence will also contribute largely as well as the project team expertise.

Signs of a good bounty for me:
1. The team. It should not be anonymous.
2. The original Whitpeper.
3. The possibility of paying tokens not only in the crypto currency. (the organizers try to hide)

this forum is a forum with clear rules. mistakes remain mistakes and will not be true. just believe in the bounty being launched, if even the bounty will lead to a scam, then the forum will also take action.
agree that reading whitepaper is a way to find out whether or not the bounty is good.

Yes, there have been a lot of fraudulent projects. The selection becomes more complicated. I think that the crypto community needs to introduce some measures to track such projects.

All you need is do research in whitepaper, if you think that paper isn't good enough and you can't get the information what you need in that paper you should find another project or you can ask them in telegram channel.

That is very helpful material, however people are in need of a good clear and simple procedure to do some basic DYOR, not exhaustive guides that take lots of time to apply.

scam projeler yatırımcılar kadar projeye katılanları da etkiliyor. insanlar zamanlarını harcıyor ve bir şey elde edemiyorlar. ben bu konuda güvendiğim arkadaşlarıma danışıyorum.

I understand your point, but with so many scam ICO's running, I urged you to do not just basic DYOR, but really do your homework to say the least. Are you willing to invest on ICO because of some hype? I don't think so, anyways, its your money that you are willing to risk, if you don't do your research, you also don't have a reason to bitch around if you have been scam because you didn't do some due diligence on your part, just saying.
