Title: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in?
Post by: dupee419 on August 29, 2018, 08:37:25 AM
I've seen a lot of people talk about BTC gambling, but is it that there are lots of cryptocurrencies to gamble in and not only Bitcoin? Although I know the answer for this, and maybe a lot of people as well know the answer to this, but I'd leave the answers to those who are eager to enlighten those who have little knowledge and information about this.

So what do you think? What cryptocurrency should be recognized and should be gambled with?

I haven't seen it anywhere but gambling with nano could be amazing. It can even be off-chain and still be faster than some of the on-chain bitcoin gambling options. I think if there was any websites that allowed people to gamble as fast as possible on nano we can see the awesomeness of how valuable it is to just gamble with a coin that has instant transactions.

I mean the workload on the website from millions of wagering is still creating stress on the server for the website but it is at least fixing one issue. Also people can deposit and withdraw nano instantly which would make them gamble even faster, depositing and waiting for your deposit to show up is still taking a lot of the hype from you, if it was instant like nano, I bet we would gamble more and wager more.

I used to play with different alts when DirectBet was still around. Bitcoin had higher transactions fees back then and it was more efficient to transfer alts with minimal TX fees like DOGE. Nowadays most crypto books cover the TX fees and also allow minimal BTC bets as low as 0.001mbtc which eliminates the need to play with alts if you would like to bet small. So to me gambling with BTC is perfectly fine at the moment and will suffice for both small and big bettors.

I will simply use the bitcoin for the purpose of gambling because most of the people doing gambling for making money so if they got rewarded then they will go to the place to convert it into the fiat since we cannot use the bitcoin in most of the place as it is,if we are using alts then we need to convert them into the exchanges and need to pay some extra fees so I don't want to go under these circumstances.

From what I've seen most the top (widespread) cryptos have their own dice sites, faucets and the such. However, when it comes to full fledged casinos (offering live play, sports and whatnot) there is less of a range of currencies that are accepted for deposits.
That said, you can easily exchange your coins for BTC meaning that you can technically (indirectly) gamble in every cryptocurrency.

I'm with this one which I have remembered Raiblocks which is now Nano do offer almost instant transaction which would really be great if it would be recognized but talking about BTC gambling being mainly used then there no doubt because you can exchange or convert easily fiat into btc and btc to fiat which its no surprise that this coin will always be preferable but as of these days we can eventually see lots of alternative coins which you can use it always end up on your preference.

While reading this question of yours, two cryptocurrencies popped out of my mind right away. These are: BTC and DOGE. I've spent significant amount of my precious tie in gambling and most of the time, these adventure of mine involved these two coins. BTC as being the general accepted coin in every gambling website out there. My portfolio consists mostly of BTC so it is a no-brainer to use it in gambling. Less hassle in converting and can be easily cashed out anywhere.

I've mentioned DOGE because this is one of the coins that are widely accepted in gambling websites together with BTC. I've had a lot of bag of it in the past and when my BTC is tied to my other investments, I take the liberty to use some of my DOGE to have pleasure in gambling. The transaction time and fees for it are very fast and very convenient at that time.

After the implementation of ICO and smart contracts has been launched, nowadays you can have the good way to use their tokens directly to bet with that hence amount you need to spare from fiat to bitcoin and all will be stopped for sometime.

Next to that bitcoin and ethereum are the major currencies widely used on gambling and all kind of cryptocurrencies sites mate.

I know that a lot of people probably won't agree with me on this one, but I'd really like to see casinos use Steem more often for gambling.
They have no fees on transactions and they're also lightning fast.

I'm currently not aware if any casino is offering this at the moment, let me know if you know any any gambling website currently accepting Steem deposits/withdraws

This is a great question and topic, rare in the forum here :)

Gambling sites almost always need to offer BTC/ETH deposit options now. Whether an altcoin is used or not shouldn't matter a lot because those are the two main crypto currencies people already own. If the site wants anything other than BTC or ETH used to gamble, it is the sites responsibility to make that trade easy for gambling customers though. The ones who don't do this are just asking for trouble with their site.

CoinPoker is a good example of a gambling site doing it wrong. You have to go out of their site to an exchange with your BTC or ETH to buy their CHP token and then you can deposit the token to gamble on their site. The more gambling sites that launch like this, the more crypto gambling sites we will see fail.

Launching a gambling site in crypto and not catering to BTC and ETH holders makes you an asshole currently. It is hard enough to run a gambling site without adding in the difficulty of a unique shitcoin that needs to be used to gamble with. People trying to do too many things with a simple gambling site are going to have problems down the road with different areas, either the gambling part or the token part.

There is no difference in the coin you use to gamble in as you can adjust your stake depending on your risk appetite. The only difference altcoin deposit makes is the amount of fees you pay when you withdraw from your wallet. Currently, bitcoin withdrawal is high compared to most altcoins if you withdraw less than $100 worth of coin from your wallet. If gambling sites accept altcoins, they would be able to attract more customer with lower budget.

I started gambling using Bitcoin. Now, my favorite is Litecoin. It is has fast transaction, low fees and some sites offers no minimum bet for Litecoin. So, for a bigger bankroll, it would be very useful in prediction games.

That isn't true at all.

If you gambled with Funfair token or the CoinPoker shitcoin last month, they are now worth 30-50% less in just 30 days.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/funfair/
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/coinpoker/

Whereas if you gambled with BTC in the last 3 months, even if it was at $8200 and it's now at $7000, you only lost 15% on the value to cash out bitcoin at an exchange. Plus most people want to actually hold bitcoin for awhile and only cash out on gains, whereas the altcoins you really never know what is going on.

Huge differences with altcoins that have zero adoption though.

for now, I am gambling with dogecoin although, in my first time, I used bitcoin for the bet. I think by using dogecoin, I can play the game for a long time although I don't want to play for a long time but using dogecoin still the cheapest coin that I don't have any problem at all. the sending and receiving dogecoin from one wallet to other wallet don't need to wait for a long time and I can use for a small amount to bet. it feels not good if I use bitcoin to gamble and for me, it is better to save bitcoin and not use for playing gambling.

I think bitcoin is the best because it is accepted in almost all the gambling sites so I can can play anywere if I have bitcoins,no need to convert them one to another. Many people say the transaction speed is the problem with bitcoin but many gambling sites have instant deposit options as well so it is not a problem for me.

Many trusted online gambling sites use Bitcoin as a stakes, because currently Bitcoin is the most popular coin and is widely used by gamblers, then many also recommend online gambling sites using Bitcoin, so to avoid risk you should bet using Bitcoin compared to other coins .

Adding other than Bitcoin alts to gambling sites was a necessary measure in times when Bitcoin transactions were either very slow or too expensive. Currently, when you can pay as low as 10 satoshis/byte for your transaction to be confirmed within 30 minutes, there's no acute need for that. But nevertheless it looks good overall when a site accepts different alts, you can gamble with some dust of coins which you don't need for anything else. It's a cool feature.

I still have a few alts I hold that I use for depositing and withdrawing for gambling, but the fees incurred through exchanging one coin to another just isn't worth it for me anymore, so I just transact straight from my BTC wallets for gambling at the moment. Should fees get higher again, I'll definitely consider alts again, but it's not necessary at the moment. I don't save anything using alts, and my money's completely in BTC already.

Agreed. Its good that gambling sites are accepting altcoins besides bitcoin, specially during its peak last year. Really hard to gamble with bitcoin because its really expensive. Gambling sites though adjusted, well some of them are now Segwit friendly. But I used Litecoin, Doge because I have some dusts amount early this year, unfortunately it was swept as well.

Just to pump out other coins prices???

Only Bitcoin, not anything else. I simply have no reason to use alts. Every decent and trusted gambling site use BTC as their main payment system. There are also the fact that Bitcoin transaction fee is now very cheap, maybe there are alts with cheaper tx fee but I'd say you'll lose more money by holding alts (capital loss).

Feel free to look at the stats (https://dicesites.com/), wagered volume for alts in all sites is nowhere near the BTC wagered volume. So I guess most people don't prefer alts either.

I use all the alts that Bitsler accepts. They listed 18 coins to choose from

Bitcoin
Ethereum
Litecoin
Bitcoin Cash
Ripple
Dogecoin
Dash
ZCash
Ethereum Classic
Neo
Komodo
Bitcoin Gold
Lisk
Digibyte
QTUM
Stratis
Waves
Burst

If any of those coin is down, what I do is try to play with them for a chance to multiply the coin or token that I am holding. Most of the time I play with Ethereum and NEO since I have some of those that I can dispose.

Most gambling sites accept BTC, so BTC would be a favourable go-to option. But if they have option for Doge, then I would obviously prefer that. I don't mind using others, but I don't like the struggle of depositing BTC in an exchange, converting them and again withdrawing them. Nah, too much work.

Thanks for agreeing with me, but what I could never understand is this "Bitcoin is too expensive to gamble with" thing. On most dice sites you can bet with as low as 1 saotshi, and although other games may require 1k sats for a minimum bet it is still not too much. Besides, the amounts of minimum bets in other cryptos are normally adjusted to the rate so that your minimum bet is almost the same in relation to USD. Well, it can be two times lower than that in BTC, as far as I know, but not more than two times lower. CMIIW.

It depend on the gambling site that they allow which cryto currencies to deposits and then gamble. Bitcoin is accepted everywhere and then there is Eth which is also accepted in most of the gambling casinos websites. Other than these two, we will not see much of the options as they are not so popular for real time usage.
Also why would people first buy altcoins with their bitcoin and then gamble, when they can do it directly with Bitcoins. I do not see any big reason for introducing more altcoins to the gambling industry. It will just create more complexity.

While most casinos allow you the option to play with Dogde, Eth, Ltc I yet would stick with Bitcoins. One of the primary reason is I trust bitcoins, it's easy to trade and its prices don't remain stagnant. I personally don't like alts, cause once they crash thier recovery takes ages, plus not all like to buy alts trading them is a problem. However if you like to play with alts or want to test out alts then I would suggest only use popular alts like dodge, eth and ltc, also make sure your casino accepts it before you purchase to play.

Actually all cryptocurrency can be used in gambling if the gambling platform can add it to their method, but so far I only use a few crypto like: btc, doge, eth, ltc. So far I prefer to use that crypto, because besides that these altcs also have low transaction fees and are also fast to confirm.

I think it got differences, for the big gamblers, when they want to gamble using alt coin they also need to predict whether the alt coin price could go down or not, maybe today 1 trx is 3$ but if tomorrow change into 1$, then their capital is falling down, so gambling in alt coin does give extra risk to the gambler, but the casino need to adopted some alt coin, so the gamblers got more options and some alt coin got a better speed transaction and lower transaction fee, for gambling I like to used btc and doge, doge transaction fee is very cheap and it's easier to bet using doge, I don't need to count the fraction

Unfortunately, the matter of deciding which type of currency to gamble with, does not rest on the players alone but more on the platform providers and they will only implement new methods of playing if and only if the number adds up i.e the cost of setting up and the number of people that it will be using the method is enough to be incorporated in their own corporate plan or else, it will only be a suggestion that will be swept under "consideration".

Casinos all over the years have always relied on chips, horse racing over the years have relied on tickets, some other gambling sites rely on their own form of coins that you are forced to convert whatever form of currency you have in other to play on the platform.

So, in the case of crypto, the currency to me does not matter so far there is an exchange available that can be converted. Some gambling sites even have inbuilt exchange platforms that makes things super easy. The point of focus is the site itself and its reputation to be sure I am not getting scammed.

You are right as long as the betting amount is fixed in the value of $ then it wont be a matter, but the most used reason why people prefer for a coin to gamble is about its popularity, its price, and the speed of transaction.
The amount when you bet could be fixed but its value may decreased because the price of the coin is dumped significantly. In this case, people prefer to use coins that has less possibility of getting dumped and high possibility of getting pumped.
Bitcoin is still the most popular and the most used coin in this crypto gambling industry, the other coins is just alternative when they have no bitcoin on their wallet or they want to use bitcoin for other purpose such as holding or trading.

Just you have to consider market caps, 24h volumes and if they are active coins (not dead).

No doubt that BTC would really be mainly used since this is the main crypto as we all know which every online gambling site would definitely have this option anytime to make it as you main deposit option
Recognition of other altcoins would entirely depending on the house if they do saw that theres a public request on adding it up then they might consider it.

It doesn't really matter in my opinion. All alt coins have value. Whether you're betting $20 in TRON or XRP, it's still $20.
When it comes to fixed value then theres no really point to have lots of coins but when we do talk about to have many options then this would really be still a considerable idea.

No doubt about bitcoin that is the cryptocurrency that everyone wants to engage in gambling. I don't want to choose any other crypto in gambling though the value went lower today but its going to be huge someday that these casino's will be more popular as it is today. There will be some altcoins that will be recognized and others would love to engage with but it will be very few.

I would not play with crypto because I know its worth in future would be a lot more than what it is today. So if I have to play it would be with money because its value would be decreasing in years and even I lose it would be money and not crypto.

I would deposit Litecoin to online casinos sometimes and play with it, it is a much more cheaper and affordable crypto-currency to purchase on the trading market, the transaction speed for confirmation on Litecoin is much more faster than bitcoin too, another advantage for using Litecoin would be the cheaper miner fees I paid when I sent out the Litecoin from my wallet.

yes, the advantage of Litecoin itself does not require a large fee when we make a withdrawal on the wallet that we have and does not require a long time if we make transactions in it because it does not require much confirmation

For litecoin itself, I think it has become a good alternative that is favored on many gambling sites, the main reason for many gamblers using litecoin in gambling is true that litecoin has advantages in terms of faster transactions and lower fees.

I have known a lot of people who uses litecoin, one of them is my real time friend, as an alternative to bitcoin or other crypto currency  for it’s faster and cheaper transactions. I haven’t tried gambling with the coin but I think it would be satisfying to seek out to try.

Yes, you are right we should not gamble with the crypto because it has very huge growth in the coming and it is always good to gamble with the fiat currency instead of cryptocurrency. Because fiat current will not change the value but cryptocurrency will change it's value.

Whatever the cryptocurrency finally that is in marketplace usage then we can have that coin to buy and sell coins.

Then people should try to use the coin which is best in rate that time to use for gamble wherever the site it is. Then I will not suggest gambling to anyone but to enjoy you can be use it.

yes it can be the main benchmark for gamblers to determine what type of coin they will choose to play so that when they win the game they will know which type of coin has a confirmation time that is so fast when making a withdrawal and does not have expensive transaction fees to be incurred

Looking at these gambling sites' transaction fees and confirmation time will help you to see the fastest sites and the efficient gambling sites you can gamble your money on.I don't mind these since I am only gambling some of my payments in my campaign and trust me, that is just a small amount and will not make me a gambling addict.

Digital currency is indeed so influential on the development of gambling games. more and more gambling house websites and more and more people are playing gambling because of the ease with digital currency. one of them is bitcoin, currently most gambling websites accept bitcoin as a system of financial transactions on their website. Digital currency facilitates speed and ease. besides that, digital currency has also provided the confidentiality of personal information of gamblers. this is recognized as an extraordinary attraction when compared to using fiat as its financial system.

Many altcoins does not really require much fees when it comes to transaction anyway, so I believe gambling with them cannot be a bad idea. I have always used doge more for gambling than any other cryptocurrency anyway certainly for no reason at all that it is doge and I do not care since I have been holding so much of it since its early days and nothing has changed with its development, except for the recent hype. Whichever way, the whole transaction fee thing and fast transaction, is not usually a problem when it comes to gambling with any coin.

I have known a lot of people who uses litecoin, one of them is my real time friend, as an alternative to bitcoin or other crypto currency  for it’s faster and cheaper transactions. I haven’t tried gambling with the coin but I think it would be satisfying to seek out to try.
I was using LTC at some point and then I stopped and rather decided to focus more on coins with a very low price in the market and possibly has reached their bottom, which gives me chance to buy the dips, gamble with some of them as long as they are available on the gambling platform which is the reason why I make use of cryptogames the more anyway and then just do my thing. Whichever way, nothing is guaranteed; it is all just gambling, whichever coin you decide to use, the odds are all the same.

I am not regular gambler therefore I never play online games for gambling because I think that online gambling has no fun and entertainment and I gamble only for fun and for that I always visit regular casinos. Casinos are full of enjoyment and fun. You can spend some time with your friends in free atmosphere with drinking, dancing and gambling etc.

I think bitcoin is the best option for online gamblers because bitcoin is accepted by all people compare to other cryptos. The problem is that it is very difficult to find authentic site for online gambling, because many of them are scams and they will never pay you if you win the bet. Therefore I suggest all online gambles to check the status of gambling site and then try it.

It is right that many online gamblers use bitcoin in online gambling because most of the gamblers hold only bitcoin in the wallets. Very rare people would have other crypto. People want ease while using their coins and I think that bitcoin is the one which you can use easily. The main reason is that others will also accept only bitcoin as their payments for gambling or for anything else.

I agree with you but in my opinion it is better to use local currency in gambling because cryptocurrency is a mean of making more and more money and a gambler should think that losing crypto in online gambling means losing money and source of money as well. Although casinos also give the facility to accept bitcoin if you have cash money in your pocket.

I can see some gambling sites before that uses doge instead of bitcoin but for me xlm is the best cryptocurrency we can use in gambling its fast, easy to deal with and of  course transaction fee is almost free I dont know if there are online sites that uses this coin at the moment maybe in the future we can see.

There are very few casinos which accepts XLM. I used to play on luckygames where they accept stellar lumens. There is another site named stellardice or something but, that doesn't looked like a legit casino to me (no offence).
I mostly gamble in casinos and for that I only use my regular currency. I never use cryptocurrency for gambling because I think that cryptocurrency is a source of income and one should not lose his income source in gambling. If you lose your cryptocurrency in gambling it means that you lose both, money and business. Therefore I  think that nobody should use cryptocurrency in gambling.
I mostly use my local currency because I never play online gambling nor visit any casino because in my country there are no casinos. I gamble with local friends and people to whom I know. We set in a place and gamble for some time and all the money is in cash. There are no other mean for payments and receiving. I love that gambling because we use only traditional methods of gambling.

You don't need to say that it is the "traditional method" of gambling, it is obvious. You can just say that it is the common, the usual way to gamble, right?

I do love gambling personally but with work all over my schedule, I'd rather not think of it and focus on my work or job. If I have some free time, I gamble using mobile phone. Visits a gambling site and earn myself some faucet BTCs that I can use to gamble.

Dodge is what I see as a good crypto to gamble since bitcoins price is low right now. But if you want to win bigger coin through the wager, it is good also to use Bitcoin and gather more of it.

Litecoin is underrated as of the moment. You are correct with those points about Litecoin and this is the reason why there are casino's that are still accepting it and won't delist Litecoin. It still has a huge market and community that's supporting it.

I remember those times when bitcoin fees are too crazy, people tend to use litecoin as alternative for transactions and I know that many converted to Litecoin gambling instead of bitcoin gambling.
Now casinos also accept cryptocurrency for gambling. Cryptocurrency gives us a facility of having money in our pockets. Nobody can rob or snatch and we can play in relax mood. I always use cryptocurrency for gambling because I think it is easy for payments and receipts. I know that cryptocurrency is a source of income but it is also comfortable for using in gambling.

Bitcoin.

Moving bitcoin into an altcoin has fee's and you gamble with the altcoin being devalued...

If you win then it is fine else just think you being playing and lost 0.1 btc over some time and in next year the btc value rises to 20k. So 0.1 at present value would be 600$ but next year say at 20k it would be 2000$. So think are you making wise choice of playing with btc?

I wonder if there will be a casino where you can change your coins to other coins, kinda like inside exchange. I am not too sure how withdrawal would work with but if one casino had like 10+ coins under it and whatever you deposited you can exchange it to another coin to gamble on the casino and than if you win you can withdraw whatever you want can make a casino become a really wanted casino with high wagered amount pretty quickly.

Even if people use it for withdrawals and deposits like a wallet I think the casino can take advantage of that by just making the costs for it insanely cheap as low as it gets and just hope that whoever uses their website like a wallet can simply invest into the casino as bankroll or at least gamble and lose it. That would be a genius marketing move.

I personally don't know much about casino sites that have features like an exchange, but at yolodice.com you can find these features, you can find them here https://yolodice.com/#exchange but only for coins listed there and that hasn't many, at least these features will become more interesting for us to choose to play with the coins we want.

Bitcoin is still my coin for gambling while we still have lot of other crypto currencies just because of liquidity. In case if I won lot of money from bets I immediately want to cashout it and enjoy so my preference will be bitcoin since it is easily transferrable into my local currency.

JKR in EOS platform is used in gambling. I think some developers are starting to develop cryptocurrencies that can be used in gambling since most crypto enthusiasts like gambling too. Soon, there will be more cryptocurrencies that can be used in gambling industry.

Lol. At this point? I wouldn't feel bad if i gamble with all my ether haha. The situation is that bad that i can just buy back the ethereums i lost at probably a cheaper price 🤣

If you're using cryptocurrencies to gambe in the way that they're your only way to access crypto casinos or circumvent local gambling laws, it doesn't really matter when and what currency you'll choose. You'll spend it and buy more in a few hours, or you'll gamble and sell profits the next day. Crypto's are volatile, but not so much that you'd have to worry about a move of 1% per hour.

sometimes when I use bitcoin to gamble it's a bit disappointing because transaction fees for deposit and withdraw for bitcoin are quite expensive for me, when using altcoins like doge or other altcoins, fees can be said to be cheaper. Do you also think so when gambling with bitcoin?

I don't mind using any cryptocurrencies as long as I am having fun, that is great.

There are a lot of gambling sites that I can gamble in, the only thing is that that gambling aite should be legitimate and trusted by a lot of other gamblers. As long as I am having fun, and yeah, earning a little, I can use a lot of other cryptocurrencies available. Doge will be great since I can gamble as much as I can. I don't use much if my Bitcoin since the dump happened, I am always thinking twice of using them.

In my case its same, I already tried to gamble with many altcoins. Maybe most fun I had with litecoin and doge, after bitcoin off course. What you say for bitcoins can be applied on many people, including me, most of us dont use bitcoins for anything this days, its better to keep them safe somewhere to wait for next bull run.
Recently I started to gamble with eos too, its what this cryptoworld makes you to do, there are always new things around, people should try this dices that I advertise in my signature, you can even stake some coins, you can do many things, this is what is the most interesting this past few weeks, you should try it.

Yes, I think the same as you and this is why I use dogecoin for the bets because it's a cheaper fee and it's fast in the transaction. It's a long time ago when I use bitcoin as the bets, and in that time, fortunately, I get bitcoin by free from faucets :D

Right now, I don't want to use bitcoin for a gambling game, and I prefer to use bitcoin for trading so I can make another profit and increase my money and bitcoin in the same time.

Of course it will be a little disappointing when you profit from gambling but instead the price of bitcoin is dumped and decreases 2 times, of course the benefits you get from gambling don't mean anything, lol. that's the thing that I dont like when gambling using bitcoin or crypto

Back when directbet.eu was still around I liked to gamble in DOGE because of the fast confirmation times (usually less than 1 minute). It allowed you to lock in good odds during live events. With BTC you had the chance of a bet not confirming in time before the odds shifted.

I miss them... It was a great casino model where you don't have to deposit funds into an account. You just send your coin to an address that corresponds with the bet and provide them with the address you want to receive your winnings at (if you win).

I did like DirectBet for a lot of reasons and it's really easy to start gambling there. You just need to deposit in your unique address and just deposit and they know it's yours. It's easy and fast. I haven't tried gambling DOGEcoin but I think it's a great tool for it. I miss the site too, I wish it hadn't gone away.

What is the reason anyway? I forgot what happened. Or I think it was just they don't want to continue? I don't know.

They didn't really say... But yeah, they were always honest, straight-forward and fast with payments.

One interesting bet that I never took (glad I didn't) that they had on there was the winner of the US presidential election... The options were "Hillary Clinton" versus "Republican"... Trump was too much of a wild card to put on there. I remember Hillary was a 1.4x payout and I thought that was easy money for months... boy oh boy was I wrong about that. The most wrong I've ever been about anything.

Maybe that single item cleaned them out, or enough to make them want to shut down their website... if enough people were betting on the Republican "longshot."

Oh yeah its definitely  bitcoin is what we should focus on. Its starting to be accepted and supported pretty much everywhere at a high rate. Yesterday you couldnt do anything, today you can check out at cafe with btc or play some good casino games here (https://vegascasino.io/promotions?utm_source=cc-vg-1). Great coin with many technological advantages over fiat, why not use it?.
Right.I also see bitcoin has really a bright future in gambling. It's still the most popular and the most trusted coin when it comes to cryptocurrencies. But still in my own country, bitcoin is still not accepted as a form of payment so i still gamble using fiat.Hopefully there will be casinos who will accept bitcoin already in my own country as this will give me more profit compared to fiat being use in gambling.

if there is a prohibition on gambling, then you use fiat to gamble is very risky dude, my dad was jailed for gambling. I think gambling online using Crypto or Bitcoin will be much better and certainly private, that is a special thing, isnt it ? you can gamble without anyone knowing you're gambling..

Yes, I agree. I think using cryptocurrency for the bets will be the right choice because we can hide in somewhere we want especially if there is a regulation about gambling in your country. Even if there is a casino that allowing us to use fiat as bets, I still prefer with cryptocurrency because I don't have to get any trouble and the best is I can play the online gambling in everywhere. Perhaps, in the future, there is a casino that will allow us to use bitcoin or altcoin for the bets so it will make us easy to play the games and we can hide our identity when we are playing gambling.

The Lighting Networks for both Litecoin and BTC should make transactions for casinos and most things in general much, much quicker in the future once implemented correctly (for BTC especially) in the future, and once the BTC LN is accepted for payments by crypto-based casinos, I'm likely going to sell off much of my crypto stash I keep for quick transactions and convert them over to BTC. Shame there's just not a lot of adoption yet, though, but I expect BTC LN adoption will grow given some time.

Are you honestly generating profits from gambling ? I guess you must pray for your casinos not to adopt cryptocurrencies as it may lead to negative impacts in your currently smoothly-going gambling activities. Yes, as per a recent study, people who are using cryptos for gambling spend more money and time for their gambling compared to those who use fiats. Because, if you use fiats, your family members may ask questions about your expenses or you yourself may able to track your spending whereas with cryptos you may not value the real worth of your hard earned money as card payments or crypto payments are not giving exact feel of handling actual paper/metal money.

I think gambling online using Crypto or Bitcoin will be much better and certainly private, that is a special thing, isnt it ? you can gamble without anyone knowing you're gambling..
I read that world wide gamblers are switching over to cryptos and especially to bitcoins for some reasons which are the things, you just mentioned. I am also preferring using cryptos but using cryptos is having lots of negative consequences like uncontrolled continuous gambling. I guess only for matured gamblers, cryptos are the right choice.

So far, I use dogecoin, reddcoin, and litecoin than bitcoin although in my first time I use bitcoin, now I prefer to use altcoin as the bets. The altcoin price now is not too high depends on bitcoin price, and we can use for example 0.01 btc to buy dogecoin, and I am sure that we can get much of dogecoin or reddcoin. Besides that, I think the gambling sites will use altcoin too so their member can deposit and withdraw if they are winning and the fee of the transaction for the altcoin is not too big.

Dogecoin is a horrible alt to use for gambling. Besides the very low transaction fee which is pretty much 0. There are no other pros.

For one, if you don't own Dogecoin you need to buy it first. And since its less than 100 Sats and most exchanges are only 8 digits, it means you lose over 1% alone on the spread.

Two, the currency is very manipulated just by looking at the charts. So depending on when you buy it , you might buy at the top of a pump and be bag holding it for 6 months+.

So right now with the empty bitcoin transaction orderbook, it makes no sense to use Dogecoin.

I would engage mostly in bitcoin but also in new cryptocurrencies that can easily be mined but I know that many casinos don't accept such coins. I know that sportsbet.io accepts tons of different altcoins through the shapeshift interface they have incorporated so it is one step forward to accepting more coins than other casinos.

There are a lot of other not that expensive cryptocurrency you can use to gamble.

With the popularity of Bitcoin being used in gambling industry, a lot of gambling sites decided to open up their site to new cryptocurrencies available in the market. Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin and other cryptos are now accepted in lot of gambling sites. I wonder if more cryptos will be accepted but I think it will since the popularity of cryptos are increasing annualy.

What is the advantage of gambling in a new cryptocurrency which is mined easily ? I do not get your point. When a coin is easily obtainable, what will be the use of it even in the case of you are multiplying your bankroll into 1000x times. You will earn nothing out of nothing, right ? The level we take risks, the reward also will be up to that level. This is the point where new crytpos are seeming like worth nothing.

I know that sportsbet.io accepts tons of different altcoins through the shapeshift interface they have incorporated so it is one step forward to accepting more coins than other casinos.
What is the point when all the coins are mapped into bitcoin for value calculations.I understand "what concurrency" is the question for gamblers who are finding entertainment and definitely not for money seeking gambling. Because, only for entertainment seeking gamblers, different coins will provide the same level of fun but for relatively cheaper prices compared to gambling with bitcoins. Finally I got the point of this discussion :D.

I wouldn't gamble using BTC because it might take up to an hour for confirmation. I would prefer something that's much faster such as XRP or DGB.

some gambling sites nowadays offers instant deposits with zero confirmation at all and i guess even if you use btc , the process can go faster but you must also be aware that btc transaction is dependent on the fee that you put in   .   the higher the fee is equals to faster transacting time   and i belive this is also applicable to altcoins    , therfor you cant trully say that altcoins is more faster than in btc  .

in my case i will use btc in crypto gambling because this is the only one i got  but if ever the site accepts other payment methods such as paypal or cc's  , why not  ?

Which gambling site is accepting bitcoin deposits with zero confirmation ? It is a news for me because as far as I have learned accepting bitcoin deposits with the no confirmations will lead to disasters later on as double spending will lead to bankruptcy of that gambling house.  I'm really curious to know which gambling site is doing so.

Even bitcoin transactions are taking up to 10 minutes of time for first confirmation, I'm always preferring to gamble with bitcoin alone because I got practiced my gambling with BTC values alone and no other crypto coins are not giving similar excitement from my gambling.

I would also do the same and on the other hand, the price of Bitcoin these days is low. We don't know whether it will make a leap or dive more underground but I'd rather hold my Bitcoins for now instead of gambling them. The price might go up and my BTCs might make more profit in that way rather than on waging or betting them on gambling.

I’m also used to gamble with my bitcoin because that is the cryptcurrency that I always receive from my work and I think its more convenient to use since most of the gambling sites or all of the gambling sites accept bitcoin as mode of money. Though its too risky to use bitcoin in gambling because it looks like a very expensive coin to use for gambling and its hard to lose that coin or your wallet so better to balance the coins that you are using.

Probably it would be Bitcoin in which I won't be scared to use in gambling. Bitcoin is a well secured crypto system for years already so it would be assured to be safe from anomalies. Although gambling sites these days are using multiple cryptos as their mode of payment such as ethereum, litecoin , and the likes. Some people on the other hand won't choose to engage themselves into cryptogambling, simply because of the negative market behavior in cryptos. They would rather choose to wait for another year until the market starts to recover. But in my case, I would choose to enjoy my excess investments than to just sit and wait for miracles. Also, I am really into gambling even before, so I am not seeing anything wrong with this.

Try checking this  one (https://to.crwd.cr/smtm) out. Bitcoin is the main mode of payment in this gambling site due to its reputation in the crypto market.

Yes Indeed, but of course the site will wait for the confirmation process to complete if you want to withdraw. You will not be able to withdraw if your deposit has not been confirmed yet. I myself use altcoin also to gamble because it is cheaper, and confirmation is faster

So what do you think? What cryptocurrency should be recognized and should be gambled with?
XRP and ETH. It's because they are next to BTC and  it's not hard to convert it into fiat money since most of local exchange are now accepting these two cryptocurrency to be converted into fiat currency vice versa.

Dogecoin! The meme coin should be recognized by the world that its not just a meme but it's title should be changed into a gambling coin. It has cheap fee and fast though.
It seems that your standards when it comes to crypto is too high because for me doge is not a shitcoin at all since it once become one of the leading coins going back those old days (including litecoin and eth). In fact, doge achieved a significant boom on the last quarter of 2018 so we can say that this coin is not a total mess at all. I still considered this as a good alt because it already gained lot of adapters and was already used as a form of payment especially in gambling sites like what you've said.

I agree with it though I don't really transact my crypto currencies on gambling sites, it is more efficient to use or gamble with cryptos that are more faster to transact as we can enjoy our time from gambling.

But there are not much gambling sites accepting XRP,so if your intention is to convert into fiat straight away then you can just play with bitcoin itself.

Why stick on finding the difficult one when you can actually find a new one that offers not just XRP but most top altcoins. If finding an exchange that would change it to fiat, why not use shiftshape instead? It is more effective than finding exchanges that would convert your altcoins to fiat.

My favorite cryptocurrency for gambling has to be fast. Maybe the low volume coins would probably serve this purpose better.
There are quite a few safe and worthy cryptocurrencies aside Bitcoin, such as EOS, Wave, Bitcoin (via lightning network), dogecoin

Dogecoin is a meme shitcoin.  No one uses that coin for a ny serious transactions.  This scam will end up going to zero eventually.  EOS is a centralized scam that will end up failing as well.

BTC/ ETH are the go to cryptos that are very liquid and widely used.

I do not think it's just bubble gamble with btc because of its value, because if you have $ 380 it means you have 0.1 btc. It's much more convenient to use currencies that are priced close to one dollar, for example, Tether is $ 1.

What cryptocurrency should be recognized and should be gambled with?
in all type of gambling that should be any attraction to attack the people to gamble so in cryptocurrency is it will be more higher to make money this will enough to stay the people to be connected with gambling and once you have to be entered into this field you cannot leave till you are getting the huge profit or a huge loss.

I think ethereum is the best for this kind of activity, I know that a ton of gambling sites are already using that. Ethereum has also a blockchain and it's an open source platform. Since ethereum can create a lot of smart contracts, you don't need third party to make it more efficient. Ethereum has a smaller fees, you can manipulate the gas price and limit depends on your process.

It's also obvious that ethereum is the next bitcoin, it has a future. Ethereum is a very ideal altcoin and I'm still looking forward to this.
If you want to read more about, there's a site that uses this; ethereum-based gambling (https://fortunejack.com/ethereum-gambling)

You telling frankly mate and you use bitcoin and alts in gambling for good purpose in your personal needs in a wise moves.
