Shipping

Shipping is currently scheduled to start in October based on order number, and will have more info on exact date when production starts in a couple of weeks. Due to the really high quality heatsink, shipping is not cheap, the package weighs about 2 pounds. I am currently negotiating with carries to do a bulk shipment that should bring shipping costs down for everyone especially international customers. All Domestic shipments in the US is a flat $15 per miner, and international customers will tentatively be $29 and will be eating some of this shipping charge unless the charge ends up being more than $40. I know for a fact that the max for anyone would be around 50, so at most I might follow up with some of you for a $10 extra charge for shipping. All shipments will be through either Fedex or DHL.


As always all pre-order sales are FINAL. There is no refund possible since I will be using all funds to order parts and start production. I have priced this at breakeven due to the current market conditions, and the only reason I'm even selling it is because of all the time and effort I have put into producing this miner, and still want to get it out to as many people as possible (and a nice FU to Bitmain of course), at least I can claim the worlds most efficient LTC miner now  ;D


Please note that the miner has a case designed for it, but it would add another 30-50 to the cost, which is not fair to pass to you guys with the current market. Unless something changes it will ship in its bare form with legs attached. You WILL need your own > 4GB SD card for the ARM controller this comes with. Instructions and SD image will be provided before you receive the miner.

Please keep this thread about questions on ordering/shipping etc, and any questions on the miner or anything else keep in the general thread linked above.

This unit has its own controller, no software needed everything is controlled through a web interface. I’ll have more info/pic/instructions when the interface is finalized this month.

Hey guys make sure you are including fee payment into total calculation for the order. Some orders are coming in underpaid by coinbase comers due to the fee not being added so I have to manually create these orders which takes a lot of time.

I run my L3+ DC @250MH with both fans only 8% speed. That is pretty silent.
I can even set the speed to 6% and still have a cool miner.

It is a nice small -overpriced- miner, but I don't think you've invented the wheel here ;)

Its only over-priced when you look at the current crypto bear market and bitmain dumping L3's at a loss to get rid of inventory. This is actually under-priced, and I'm selling at nearly break-even.

Why do you think Bitmain has not released any new miners? Because they know they can't charge 1k+ for them and would lose money.

I made a risk and could have held this miner and not released it in this market, but I'm about getting as many people onboard mining as possible, and this platform is a long term investment. Sure not many people especially farm miners will find value in it, but thats not who this is made for.

But thats how it goes in these markets...when Litecoin goes back to 200 next year people will complain why everyone is scalping these for 500+ :P

I have a couple of Moonlanders, but one of them was bought from Eyeboot, and another one directly from you on Ebay. How can a get a coupon?

I later discovered it in spam folder. It's hard to locate as it seems searching doesn't work within this folder (mail received 1st sept.)

Hey guys quick update for all Apollo Batch 1 Pre-orders. Final design is complete and we have all major components ordered/in production currently. ASICs are also in hand and PCB production should start next week.

Unfortunately we got screwed over with Trump China Tarriffs and had to switch out some non critical suppliers which is going to cause a 1-2 week delay from the original end of October start shipment date. We are probably looking first week of November to get the first orders out and all shipments should be done by Mid-Nov.

I'd like to get my hands on one of these if any extra stock becomes available.

I have an L3+ and many Moonlander 2s and I'm excited to add an Apollo to supplement my mining capacity. The Apollo and L3+ don't compare on a 1-to-1 basis. The L3+ does hash at a higher rate but it takes a lot more power. I can also attest that 76 decibels is really loud. It does sound like a jet engine. 

Been meaning to ask, where in Brooklyn are you?

The address you give is for a nice insta office. Since I don't think they would like you doing prototyping & soldering there I am guessing that you have an assembly place somewhere nearby. I'm on LI in eastern Nassau so even though I chose to have it shipped it might be nice to stop over and talk one day. That is, if either one of us can ever find that mythical thing called "free time".

Yes heatsinks are our bottleneck right now and scheduled to land Nov 9th, so final assembly will be 12-16th and hope to get the first orders out by the end of that week.

Not sure if this helps anyone make a decision - but these are super high quality rigs developed by a super high quality guy who is responsible for the Moonlander, Moonlander 2 and now this rig... Even with beta version 0.0.1 of the mining software based on Minera, it's super stable - I have quite a few of them myself, and they run without interruption for weeks at a time. Software is in active development.

Yes, given you can get dumpster rate on L3's for lots less per MH, but that Chinese garbage doesn't hold a candle to impression you'll get with a few of these on your desk. Try that with an L3.

I like that these are quiet enough to put on a desktop but my only hesitation would be that the roi is like 2.5 years if difficulty stays the same and coin value stays the same on my 5 cent electricity - or am I calculating the ROI wrong?

To me these are what you would solo mine with and hope to win the lottery. That being said, I will most likely order one just to have it on my desk :)

Thanks for the offer, but it has been a waiting game for the power supplies (unfortunately those are coming from China). We have been shipping out the Standard/SD card units this week, and looks like our first shipment of power supplies is going to get to our Factory on Monday (7/22). So people that ordered a Full Package in May should have theirs go out next week.

We should be done with the bulk of pre-order shipments by the week of the 29th.

Hey all, quick update for status of pre-orders on Batch 2 Apollos. We finished
all PCB production last week, and received all our cases as well. We slowly
started ramping up final builds and testing last week, and started shipping out
some Standard + SD Card units as some of you know!
 
This coming week we will be at full line capacity for building your units, and we
will also be receiving our first Batch of APU-200W power supplies on Monday,
so people that placed orders for full package in May will start seeing shipping
notifications this week!
 
Shipping schedule will look something like this:
 
-7/22-26: Almost all May and June orders of Standard and SD card units will
ship this week, and most of May Full Package unit orders
-7/29-8/2 Rest of Full Package Units orders placed in June/Beginning of July
should ship in this week
-8/5-9 Tail end of pre-orders (placed in the past few weeks) will ship (you guys
will have waited for less than a month so we pushed you guys back so people
waiting 2+ months get theirs ASAP).

Yep I saw the email last night :) I ordered on June 20th but I did the full package so could be either this week or next week for mine.

I ordered the full package May 11th and got my email this morning. 
"Your order is on the way. Track your shipment to see the delivery status."

hoping to see mine shipped soon. been just over 6 weeks since order - I think its only been delayed 2 weeks so far though, I believe was supposed to ship the week of the 15th.

Orders placed in end of June/july have been delayed a bit more since you guys have been waiting he least. We are still sending out all May/Beginning of June pre-orders this week.

Yea, unfortunately everything that could go wrong went wrong with scheduling this time around, and we ate weeks worth of delays over small things :/

I have upgraded everyones order to USPS 2 Day priority from a week fedex ground shipping, this should make up a bunch of lost time for most of you.

I ordered mine May 11th and it came in the mail Aug. 3rd.  I hope that helps you with time frames for estimating your date.

yes that means I might be another month out then - I ordered June 21st and it was supposed to be mid July then end of July but now I think end of August.

still hoping that LTC value rises - my LTC Asics are currently running in the red atm - difficulty drop though in about 7 hours so that might help.

can you verify my order? I got notice over 2 days ago that my package was shipping however, the tracking shows that it has not yet shipped and is still pending delivery to USPS

@jstefanop - can you see above? I am trying to monitor the Apollo using AM but the API log does not report the correct speed. I can see on the Apollo UI that the speed  matches what the pool reports but its not being reflected in the api data.

Please direct these questions to support thread in the future. Yes the API has some incorrect stats, we only use bits of bfgminer to run the miner, but since its a standalone unit we never fleshed out full support for bfgminer API, as this would have required way more work than needed for what we build out on the UI side.

If Aswsome miner wants to implement support, all they have to do is calculate the hash rate from work utility and difficulty (he should know how to do this but if he needs the formula just tell him to PM me.)

confused - why was the thread title renamed to say batch three? why not a new thread? IMO batch 2 thread should have stayed just that, a batch 2 thread. a lot less confusion then.

I ordered mine! I hope have the same simple machine as ther other old SCRYPT apollo (Perfect engineering machine), but the product page of the BTC version is "not clear" between the differents versions (i'm a AS syndrom person)  i don't decrypt correctly  if the "standard" version is the same as the scrypt version?

Do i need the other "cosmic module" ? Or a raspberry Pi to manage this one ?

Will these Apollo LTC miners be sold again and if so when might they be available?

Is the Apollo LTC available with the same power supply and fan to run as quiet as the Apollo BTC model? If not could I interchange them? Do they share a lot of other parts? Will the new model's high demand make it impossible to produce the LTC for a while?
