The CEO of BTC China is the brother of Charles Lee -- inventor of LTC. So It is taken for granted.

But BTC China is not one of the biggest platforms now in China, and I wonder how much will the price go.

I think we need to start a ''Get LTC on Bitstamp'' thread....

They have ripple and they suck balls, LTC would bring them way more volume and allow a BTC/LTC market on top of a FIAT/LTC market.

at least breaking 50  its previous ATH , LTC will be over $100 in 2014.

2014 will be the year Litecoin becomes big business.

$100 is not impossible.

$50 is certain.

Also LTC has ASICs coming and the block reward halving soon.  Holding anything other than BTC or LTC is retarded.  At this point everyone should have some LTC as a major portfolio component.

How is this not being discussed here?????????

This forum is only about scamcoins now.  LTC is not a scam so people are not discussing it.  Durr Hurr lets go buy AuroraCoin for $100 each.  See how that turns out for you!!

I remember years ago this was a place for meaningful discussion.

Everyone wants to get rich quick.  That is not how it works.  Smart people buy BTC and LTC and hold.

I also remember when this section had good mining tutorials etc.. now it's just scam after scam .This section needs to be removed from this site IMO.

There should be some sort of dedicated Litecoin sub here at the least since Litecoin developers are heavily involved in working on the Bitcoin client as well.  You cannot say that about any other coin.  Not only are the Lee's brothers, but Bitcoin and Litecoin are brothers.  So much client work is shared now and applicable to both.

I agree but that probably won't happen ,  just join litecointalk.org

I still think Vertcoin has a future. NXT depending whether it delivers on it's promises. Peercoin???

Ultimately I never believe any comments on this forum or the trollbox (you need to research and form your own opinion).

It would be useful having LTC on Bitstamp.

How sure are you of this?

Anyway someone is buying ~80 BTC worth of them. That tells us something.

I am sure it is going on huobi exchange also.

It really does not matter what the rest of the world does if it becomes huge in China, China alone will get us to $50 USD.

Coinbase, where the founder works, Charles Lee?  If Coinbase hopped on board then we could see over $100.  Charles invented Litecoin and works for Coinbase, ask yourself, hmmm?  His brother runs BTC-China, it is already on Chinese OKCoin...

2014 will be the year of Litecoin like 2013 was the year of Bitcoin.

Coinbase hit their daily limit by 8am EST.  :o

Those coins will be turned into LTC on next Monday.  There was no reason for that much BTC buying today otherwise.

This is the news that two groups on the forum don't want to hear:

1)  The scam promoters (basically carnival barking)

2)  The last of the Bitcoin fundamentalists who have not come to terms that the BTC/LTC partnership has already happened.

It was back during the last bubble phase after china's central bank announced no third parties payment processors could process bitcoin and huobi rose up and btcchina shrank, but that was quite a while ago I don't know what's happened to them since then.

Yea, it is right on the level with CampBX in the USA... Essentially a dead exchange.

Everyone with real money left, and went to Huobi. The ones left there essentially got raped of any value. They are still alive though.

Huobi WAS a purely big-boy private exchange. They went sort-of public, and allowed more smaller-boys to play with them. Now they are the ones doing the major leading on all the other exchanges. They have a hand in every exchange. (You will notice 100BTC sold on Huobi, with a matching 1-10BTC sale on any other exchange. Same with buying. They are playing the USD/JPY conversion-rate between storage's on each exchange.)

BTCchina may come back to life... It will be like the BTCe of China.

I don't know what planet you all are from but BTCChina had 18,000+ BTC volume traded there just today so far.

Proof - https://bitcoinaverage.com/markets.htm#CNY

This is a big deal for LTC. China alone could make LTC bigger than BTC if it adopted it instead! China is extremely rich and populous - challenging the USA -  in case you have been living under a rock for 20 years.

18,000 BTC is a lot of volume and they are known for accurate reporting, so everyone knew and they reported honestly when volume dropped for a while end of last year due to Chinese regulations.

Hardly dead - 18,000 BTC is dead?

Huobi will now be forced to add LTC or lose revenue big time, and with Chinese made scrypt ASICs hitting - look out!

Because Chinese regard Bitcoin as "gold" and Litecoin as "silver".

Awesome finally people will come back too real coins that saw stayed stable even when they invested in PUMP & DUMPS a great example is Franko too . I remember that it's a video on youtube with Franko & Litecoin owner . Franko actually fixed most of Litecoin problems and improved so it's far for being just a clone and it's from May 2013 soon too be 1 year .

18K OMG soo not dead... My bad, thanks for correcting me... NOT

BTCchina best recent day of trades 40K (Best week 639K, last week 44K)
(75% of that was fake volume they got caught and stopped listing fake buys/sells.)

Yea I say BTCchina is essentially dead...

GOX (before stopping) About 100K (Best week 2194K, Last week 412K)
Huobi best recent day was about 349K (Best week 1410K, Last week 907K)
Bitstamp best recent day about 100K (Best week 317K, last week 150K)
BTCe Best recent day was about 71K (Best week 327K, last week 108K)

And now you know who the market leader is...
