Post by: virtualmaster on March 04, 2014, 01:55:45 PM
Russians and Ukrainians should save their money depositing in Bitcoin and Namecoin otherwise they could loose their entire savings.

If there will be a war then this currencies will fall even more.
Depositing the savings as quickly as possible in cryptocurrencies would reduce the possibilities of the governments to finance war and would help the peace process.

If they have a real war their electricity and internet will go down. In such event bitcoin is worthless, instead  canned foods, fresh water, weapons/ammo and gold/silver will become the money.

Sure! No one will really care about bitcoin or any altcoin if there is a war

They should, and we all should, well there might be the next world war soon, since our leaders are more interested in BS and war this days, so we should have lots of bitcoin so after the war we can still have our money..

If you are concerned about war and instability an off-grid life style is much more valuable than any money in the world.
Is your dollars or bitcoins worth anything if you don't have food, water or shelter during a war?
The best example is the war in former Yugoslavia, and Bosnia in particular.

I am from Bosnia. You know, between 1992 and 1995, it was hell. For one year, I lived and survived in a city with 6,000 people without water, electricity, gasoline, medical help, civil defense, distribution service, any kind of traditional service or centralized rule.
Today, me and my family are well-prepared, I am well-armed. I have experience.
It does not matter what will happen: an earthquake, a war, a tsunami, aliens, terrorists, economic collapse, uprising. The important part is that something will happen.

I actually wonder why Ukrainians have not invested some coins into some emerging assassination markets to get rid of, ummm... some guy who likes practicing judo?

The most wanted person on the current market is Bernanke.... The second one is Obama... Something's wrong here. Some people call themselves anarchists?

Russian army has knocked out the cell service in some parts of Crimea when they invaded it, BTW.

Good thing about cryptocurrency - you can't see it so can't easily steal it at a gunpoint. Bad thing - you can steal it with a click of a mouse.
