Title: 2014-02-26 Money CNN - How Mt.Gox went down (with follow-up interview) Post by: David Rabahy on March 04, 2014, 06:18:22 PM When I read http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/25/technology/security/bitcoin-mtgox/index.html?iid=HP_LNI I followed the link to "Share your story: Do you have bitcoins?" which prompted a call from the author Jose Pagliery.

I did my best to represent my positions in the "Join the Conversation" section. I have since been called by CNBC for an interview. What a ball!

It will be broadcast live so that will avoid being taken out of context. Still, they may preface/introduce my segment with their own BS, then may ask twisted questions that are hard to untwist quickly, and then close with their own prepared BS again. Still my words will be my words. I suppose a big risk is my own words might turn out to be messed up but I feel pretty prepared and I believe my message is in line with the Bitcoin community.

Title: Re: 2014-02-26 Money CNN - How Mt.Gox went down (with follow-up interview) Post by: cryptoanarchist on March 06, 2014, 04:04:34 PM The problem is that the government/bankers/TPTB have been all over Gox for years now, and they would know if he had coins in cold storage, what those addresses were/are, where Mark keeps the private keys, all the details of his fiat accounts, and probably what porn he watches too. And yet, the media keeps spinning different stories about where the money might be, and of how it went missing.
Its all bullshit to anyone who uses common sense. I quit mtgox when they started requiring ID because I knew that meant the government was involved and the fix was already in. The Federal government excels at one thing - stealing people's money. By 2012, Mtgox was a US government honeypot. Whether Mark was a willing participant or not is up for speculation, and doesn't really matter. What is important, is that a government honeypot just ran off with a bunch of people's bitcoins, and are lying about what happened to them. Does that really surprise anyone? |
