Title: GPU problem - needing some tips
Post by: merod14 on March 04, 2014, 07:16:41 PM
I'm having a problem with windows 8.1 not seeing any of my installed GPUs. I removed all but 1 off of the GPUs and still nothing.

Specs are as follows:
PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2 ATX12V/EPS12V 1300W 80Plus Gold Power Supply 120-G2-1300-XR
MB - ASRock H81 Pro BTC Bitcoin/Litecoin mining motherboard
CPU - Intel G3220 CPU
Ram - Kingston 4GB
GPU - Gigabyte R9 270 GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC Graphics Card (GV-R927OC-2GD)
Power Risers - PCIe 1x to 16x Powered Flexible Riser Extender Cable with Molex

Would appreciate any tips to try.

Try the latest catalyst drivers from AMD web site.

Disable any GPU built into the motherboard or CPU (Intel graphics)

If that don't work try an i5 CPU the cheap Pentium ones are crap for mining.

Maybe try this before you purchase additional hardware:
