Title: Chipmixer, missing funds?
Post by: edgycorner on September 04, 2018, 02:54:51 PM
I deposited 0.04 BTC in chipmixer and received only two chips worth 0.016 each.
The deposited amount was 0.04( excluding fees).
Shouldn't I get one more chip worth 0.008 BTC?

For your concerns about chipmixer, much better if you post your complain on their ann thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935098.0
And PM Chipmixer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1003345) about your concerns.

It will be resolved soon since I see no reason that they will ruin their reputation for just 0.04 BTC.

This was their response:

Hello

There are some issues with our service (sweeping and low chips) and they will be resolved in next 24 hours.

If you have an active session:
Please extend your session or use "withdraw as voucher option".

If you do not have an active session:
Please delay use of our service for 24 hours (or try our competition).

Did you get a voucher code for the remaining 0.008BTC? My guess is that they ran out of 8 mBTC chips. Does your session still exist?

Yup, I have an active session. So withdrawing as voucher will solve the problem? Even if the 8mbtc chip is missing?
Or should I just wait and log into my session after some time?

Temporarily. When ChipMixer fixes the issue (very soon), you will be able to use the voucher to redeem your 8 mBTC chip.

Or should I just wait and log into my session after some time?
I assume getting the voucher would be a better option. But this should work too.

Getting the voucher ensures your session won't expire (vouchers can be stored long-term). But since you have a week and can extend your session, you can just keep it open.

I want to believe this matter has been resolved because I won't keep quiet should my funds not get completed after a transaction such as this especially from a service provider that have proven they can be trusted over time.
@Op, you will do more good by coming to update the thread on progress made so far and also to clear the doubt of people coming to read the thread for the first time and made conclusion on the kind of service @Chipmixer is providing to the market.

For future purpose, before creating a thread on a service, the best thing is to first search for the announcement thread of the service because that is where response can be gotten fast.

PM Chipmixer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1003345) about your concerns.
Please use chipmixer@protonmail.com email support instead of forum PM. It is easier to keep track of support requests and email is checked more frequently due to forum captcha.
