Title: Massive 800+ BTC buy wall of LTC
Post by: johnj on October 28, 2011, 06:11:58 AM
Putting all that BTC on the front line like that is kinda ballsy

Grats to everyone involved in LTC, looks like some folks are starting to notice.

To people that hold over 100,000 BTC, a buy wall of 869 BTC is nothing. Besides you can always sell them later.
869 BTC is actually quite sizable, even to those with 60K BTC

I think is overdue that something like that happens, but I guess the time is right anyone stupid enough participate in the recent sell-off left the scene and cryptoexchange opens in two days..

I'm not sure if this is pump and dump or something else...  The wall keeps moving down but the amount put up is getting progressively slower.  I think this person might be trying to buy all the LTC possible, there isn't that much LTC out there so to buy all of it and keep it out of circulation is really easy at this point.

He obviously is trying to get as much litecoin he can from the current market.
That isn't classical pump & dump but rather how 'smart money' wold react. Pump & Dump would try to keep as close to the best bid as possible.

Think of it: if you already have plenty of BTC it is a great opportunity to double your net-worth long time.
I hope people get this and don't sell into this wall. Because if they would we would have a worse situation than Bitcoin already has if Litecoin ever were to be accepted in a way like Namecoin has become.

Homer: [pause] Yeah, that's right, Barney.  This year, I invested in
pumpkins.  They've been going up the whole month of October and
I got a feeling they're going to peak right around January.
Then, bang!  That's when I'll cash in.

LTC is pulling ahead of SC on BTC-E.

LTC 0.008777

SC 0.0078 BTC

SC is commanding a whopping $0.12 per block LOL

You see the pattern how LTC is falling back onto that "buy wall" most of the time? You don't know what this means?  ;D

Oh man, first SC folk were saying it'll replace BTC, now they're just trying to compete with LTC.

My oh my how things change ;)

Probably just this.  It must make King RealScam furious to see LTC rising to be THE alt-coin while he begs his peasants for $12 in order to finish up the code for his locked down scamo-currency kingdom.
