Title: 10 DRK reward for the first person to help me set up cgminer on linux mint
Post by: leigh2k14 on March 05, 2014, 08:53:33 AM
This is really starting to piss me off, i've tried for days to get it up and running, I followed several guides, but I must be missing out on something? I'm trying to set it up for scrypt My graphics card is radeon 6670 I have installed the ati/amd drivers, I added the ADL_SDK to the cgminer Here's the terminal info when I tried to set it up last: leigh@Aspire-X3200 ~/cgminer-3.7.2 $ ./configure --enable-scryptchecking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking whether make supports nested variables... yes checking for style of include used by make... Why do you specifically want to run on Linux Mint instead of using a pre-configured dedicated Linux mining distro such as BAMT or SMOS?

run configure with --enable-opencl

That sort of worked, but how do I enable scrypt?
Here's the output from my terminal:
------------------------------------------------------------------------ cgminer 3.7.2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do I configure to mine for a scrypt coin?
I tried ./configure --enable-scrypt
But that just disabled GPU mining?
Sorry for being such a noob, but mining is not an easy task to learn on linux.

I sussed it: ./configure --enable-opencl--enable-scrypt make
