Cardano has become a prominent coin in the crypto-sphere and is the largest threat to Ethereum. Its platform use case bears a lot of potential, which became particularly apparent after the introduction of the Marlowe application.

In order to execute financial contracts, the Marlowe application targets the financial sector, which is akin to Peyton Jones. Currently, Ethereum dominates in escrow services but Marlowe provides a better value proposition compared to it.

How do you think? Will Cardano be great?

Cardano is good and it is also promising day by day. But etherum is the best still now. It is also called the best alternative currency after bitcoin. Actually both are good in their own way, but there is still some differences stays.

Yes, I think Cardano is better and better at serving the cryptocurrency community
along with the increasing popularity of the ADA and the decline in the prestige of the ETH, I prefer to keep the ADA in the short term, for the next 3 months

Cardano is a good one. But I don't think Cardano can pass the Ethereum. Because Ethereum already reaches the 2nd coin in the coinmarketcap and most ICO project based in Ethereum. And also most exchanges have Ethereum trading pairs. Ethereum is really good at this moment.

I prefer Ethereum over Cardano but one good about Cardano is it is way cheaper than Ethereum. So,if you are a small investor with small amount to invest you can go for Cardano. But I will prefer Ethereum more if you can afford it. Cardano is doing great though. Wish it will go much far.

indeed cardano is better than ethereum, but it won't make it possible to catch up to ethereum. remember there are many other coins like neo, stellar lumens, eos, waves and others who are ready to compete to be the best.

I think cardano takes a long time to defeat Ethereum, I think it's still too fast for Cardano to be a challenger to Ethereum, I think Eos is more suitable to be a challenger to Ethereum.

ADA is a good platform. But I don't think it will replace ETH. At present, the user base of ETH is very large. ADA is still not up to ETH. But I believe it will develop very well.

I believe both of them are best in what they are providing. Now this is the time when ADA will naturally look like best because ETH is having bad patch with the market cap and thus loosing its value. If an investor compares these movements of ADA and ETH then surely people will think that ADA is having best time and thus it is the best investment currently. However things have gotten real bad for ETH and thats the only impression which is "virtually" making ADA look best. However if I were to choose any one of them at this time then also I will choose ETH because im seeing the most cheapest currency of all time which was once at 1200 USD per ETH. Just imagine having just 1 ETH can profit you so much if it goes that high.

ETH is good for now but maybe in the future CARDANO will replace ETH on top. ETH should survive on this big dump so we can see ETH still on top in the future. Cardano will continue to improve for sure, and some coins will be left behind and if ETH don't perform well next year expect Cardano to be on that position.

Based on what I have learnt about Cardano, it does seem like a legit cryptocurrency with great long term prospects, but it needs to grow in popularity if it ever wishes to challenge Ethereum and I doubt this will happen anytime soon especially due to the prevailing market conditions which has backed every single coin and token in the crypto market into a corner.

Cardano needs to be adopted on a bigger scale in order to compete with Ethereum in my opinion.

You can try to create a comparison between cardano and ether from its adoption through use a lot of the things just like the blockchain condition between both of projects. In fact whole of crypto is being dumped and bitcoin too. we are being so far away to the mass adoption. Ether is much better on its infrastructure.

It is sad to say that both Ethereum and the ADA have fallen sharply. If you can buy to hold, wait for the market to pick up ADA will be much better than Ethereum

I prefer to choose Ethereum than cardano although both coins are profitable but i believe ETH is the supreme among two coins and with higher possibility of earning big profit in a very short span of time.

Although I don't know much about Cardano, I don't think Ethereum can be replaced in a short time, because Ethereum still has a huge user base!

yes I agree if etherum is better but now I see there is quite risky

They have similar places, but are not sure if they can catch up with Ethereum. I think the smart contract bubble has now burst.

Cardano is now becoming a popular crypto coin in the crypto market. The price of Cardano is so less and the fluctuation in the rate also a little bit less than Ethereum. So, more time is needed for Cardano if it wants to overtake Ethereum.

Cardano has potentiality to compete with the ethereum but it will need to work very hard and an advanced technology. Ethereum is already established and it is not so easy to beat this coin. A very high quality greater than ethereum, can make cardano better over the ethereum.

I will still use eth, and now eth prices are also starting to stabilize because, from the beginning I was happy to use ethereum and I feel comfortable using this crypto and from here I can make big profits, if I have never used cardano, it's rich also good in service problems,

Agree, no matter how much they shill about Cardano, if still far behind ETH. Maybe Cardano should at least, improve its standing in altcoin before talking about ETH.

I think the closest competitor of Ethereum is EOS, which is developing really fast. Cardano is a great project, which I believe will be successfull in the long-term perspective, but for now they don't have a working product.

of course cardano is a great altcoin and will mooning soon, but I don't think that cardano will replace ethereum because ethereum is a great altcoin also and the 2nd popular of cryptocurrency.

Nowadays cardano was not performing well in crypto so many peoples are avoiding this platform but Ethereum is recently affected in market. So It is a big impact of crypto market and this year we will not predict anything in market. So we should invest Ethereum and cardano this will raise gradually in market.

I highly with Ethereum, it is the most trusted smart contract platform. As it pioneered that protocol.
It is also the second currency on CMC, in terms of market capitalization.

I believe that both coins are good and worth investing. Both of them are of great importance in the crypto currency. I think after the restoration they will be both in the top.

Eth has log been in crypto space and holds the second place next to bitcoin. cardano too started well and look all set to topple many alts but apart from its initial days it never look threatening eth's place. maybe in few years time it can challenge eth but now in short term.

Cardano is a smart contract platform, similar to Ethereum, with a focus on security through a layered architecture.On the other hand Ethereum also same. Analyzing market value and its popularity, i prefer Ethereum.

Cardano, XLM, NEO are the project which is doing smart contract works in crypto community.

cardano is a great altcoin, there is no wonder that it will catch up to ethereum, but not this time, in terms of value, use and anything ethereum is still has the upperhand. but in the right time I guess, cardano might catch up to ethereum.

Yes, Cardano did experience quite significant development, and this could be a threat to ethereum, but not for now, because to be able to surpass ethereum I think it takes a long time for months or even years, because until now altcoint remains the best altcoint type

Cardano is a good project and also same goes with Ethereum.
They have both promising and a mass adoption is a better thing to do.
as of now i would like to hold more ETH or buy as it is really low.
ADA is good to hold but i will put more budget with ETH as of this time.

Cardano has been creating some buzz in the market again and a small amount of people are claiming that cardano will take over ethereum in a year or two. I won't deny that cardano is a great coin but it’s not close to ethereum yet. Even if it takes over ethereum, it will take a long time.

Ethereum has claimed its position as the second leading crypto in the market. Already ethereum is being accepted as payment in many parts of the world and cardano is nowhere to be seen. Cardano will never take over ethereum no matter how great it becomes. Because ethereum is greater than cardano and bitcoin is the greatest.

Cardano is good but i think there are no competition between ADA and ETH because ethereum is more popular compare to cardano.

No one can predict this, but I think ETH is still good coin after bitcoin. Cardano is still being chosen by investors for long-term investment because of low Cardano prices. But I believe that BTC and ETH are the two coin leaders in the crypto market.

Yet both of this coins is really good, i would still prefer ethereum because of its liquidity. My point is that, ethereum is widely traded compared to cardano, and in the Philippines, a lot of local exchangers when it comes to this coin, its widely accepted and traded to be exact, when it comes to investing a coins, a liquidity requirement should always be a top priority.

I heard about cardano as well,but let me know, where is ready product? I have never tried cardano and few of people have ever used ada except speculation.
Useless coin can't replace ethereum

Cardano has a promising future and is able to compete with ethereum. I think cardano needs a process to pursue ethereum. Maybe the next 5 years cardano will exceed ethereum.

We know yeh has centralized crypto for trading and investment after but coin coin eth is only coin where people prefer this so I'm suggesting you only eth.

I both have Cardano and Ethereum but I preferred the first than the latter because I believe that it has more potential in the future. Aside from that, it can give me higher profit because it is very much cheaper. Both of them are good coins. It is only wise to acquire more both of them.

why compare such coins, the etherium is much more advanced and better known in the crypto industry

Ethereum is from Russia and has many communities to support finance in the future.
Cardano is a coin from Japan and it's very fast in the coin transaction, I also hold a little Cardano on the Local Exchange.

At present, Cardano is very good in the electronic money market. The popularity and community of Cardano is not as good as ETH. ETH's technology is still the best. ETH is chosen by many projects as the basis for development and ETH is the most popular trading partner in current projects ... So for me, ETH is still a better choice than Cardano.

Both are good coints, but I think for cardano to beat ethereum it can't, ethereum is still leading for all types of altcoint, if you are sure and able to invest in both of these coints

cardon is best coin now day but i think you could go with ethereum, because it is best coin after bitcoin and it have own wallet, both coins also good but decision is yours.

Cardano shows a good development and still have room for more development. It can be a good platform for its use as it can attract many projects to use it. But ETH already sustained its use that its more popular like BTC.

I think Cardano and Ethereum shouldn't be compared, Cardano is from japan, it has it capabilities maxed out, transactions here, whilst Ethereum is still better than Cardano and I think that a lot of people would agree with me, and if you don't state yours and I'll listen.

Many competitors cam and compete with ETH, but still ETH win always. And in this discussion again my vote will go in ETH side. First of all ETH is the most popular coin after Bitcoin and 99% ICO projects is running on Ethereum (ERC20) platform, which is not a small thing. These two points are enough to describe ETH, rest the history you all know!

Forget cardano and focus at ethereum for investment or trade because ethereum is the only one platfor altcoin always use by ico investment project, every time have trasaction for selling and buying ethereum altcoin and make price always change every time.

CARDANO is certainly a GOOD COIN, but, yet, it is not a competitor to the ether. The coin managed to catch a common cryptocurrency HYIP, and is now overvalued.
Development never stops, especially here, in the young blockchain industry, there are very worthy new projects and who knows which coin will become a real competitor to the ethereum in the future.

cardano must wait a long time ago or have to dare to collaborate with other coins if you want to challenge eth and also have to show to the media about the project they are working on, and must have a lot of comments if to outperform eth

I have purchased Cardano during the recent price declines and feel quite comfortable with an entry price of less than 10c, there is penty of interest in the project and although in its early stages if they can deliver a real working product it has the potential to be as great a utility token as Ethereum. ETH is having a very touch 2018 but it could recover quickly at any time once Bitcoin returns to a Bull phase.

Cardano vs Ethereum, trust me these will not be a fair fight. Like we all have seen recently that Ethereum price is crashing pretty hard, but what happened with Cardano? It does not take any advantage of it, their price are still static and follow the Bitcoin leads. So, if I am about to choose between investing on Ethereum or Cardano, I will absolutely pick Ethereum.  But the real question, Are either Cardano or Ethereum worth investing right now? Because I saw other great coins to invest in, rather than ADA or ETH. There EOS, Ripple, Stellar, and other things.
