Title: New project: Information about Bitcoin in Sign Language
Post by: remog on March 05, 2014, 04:07:31 PM
Hello, i'm deaf and i'm dealing for half year in bitcoins/litecoins/dogecoins. I use dutch sign language in order to communicate with deaf friends, and use sometimes written language with hearing people.

I know bitcoin is not yet widely adopted, which is the same in the deaf world. That's why i want to spread information about bitcoin in sign language, unfourtantely my IS (International Sign) is not optimal to provide deaf users with accurate information at international basis. I could do information in dutch sign language, but still want to launch this international too.

That's why i am looking for deaf / CODA partners to work together for setting up a project about telling bitcoin in sign language (it should be available in various sign languages (I can do a dutch one)). In that way deaf people will get better explaination in own mother-language about bitcoin.

If you are deaf (or you are a good sign-language user) and you want to partner up within this project, please contact me. If you know a deaf or a sign language user, please ask him to read this topic.

Donations for this project are welcome: 1BTL1LWsvhSiJnEgGTAT92Eqck3HH5fj5h (https://blockchain.info/address/1BTL1LWsvhSiJnEgGTAT92Eqck3HH5fj5h).

With this project i want to set up website where deaf can access information about Bitcoin in sign language in form of movies, images and eventually support line via webcam where deaf volunteers can advise deaf users about bitcoin security / exchange / etc.

Thank you for your reading this topic and hope to start up this cool project somewhere soon.
