Imagine that you are traveling along a road, you are looking backwards and trying to "predict" the road ahead...

I do not believe it will come true. You know, it's just the articles and rumors. I can make such writings. So from my personal perspective, I think this is not a good and accurate post.

I don't see anything wrong with that research, the price looks like a fairly accurate prediction and if anything, a bearish outlook. 5 years is a long time, just look at property prices during the boom, when demand is there prices will rocket

It is not a surprise to me, as i strongly believe that bitcoin would cross $100k in five years time. Over the past one year or so, as the price of bitcoin have increased, so the popularity of bitcoin have also increased tremendously. As the time passes, more and more investment would come into bitcoin.

I'm having a hard time opening the link. Anyways we really can't deny that the price of bitcoin will really take off in the next years or so. But predicting it is much harder. Most of the time bitcoin defies Technical Analysis (1 day/1 month/6 month) so what more in 5 years? There maybe a lot of reason for it to reach new all-time-highs in 5 years but I wouldn't say that this X amount is what the price going to be. To many factors to consider.

I personally do not believe in experts as they say since no one really knows the future of BTC and I guess if such prediction could come true then I would say that the experts could have been just lucky enough to hit the assumption they made. Moreover, I think it would be more ideal if prediciton should have been yearly basis so that we could really see more realistic time frame for the crypto market. However, there is also a possibility that it may reach to that level but in 5 years time, it could be just too early for such an assumption.

predictions can be done at any time and by anyone, but to see concrete evidence of bitcoin we can see how bitcoin moves from time to time if bitcoin price movements can grow high and maximum I think it can grow high and reach that price. this is only a matter of time against bitcoin.

Its not difficult to predict a rise in bitcoins value even in the next 2 years
but putting a number on it is a lot more trickier.

Can "quantitative theory and other metrics" really predict human emotion
and how people react to moving markets and events?

I like it when they are predicting the good price of bitcoin after 5 years and they are pessimistic with some of the altcoins. Guys if you will look at their chart there's also another coin that will increase a lot for that 5 years base on their research.

And that is Monero while the rest of the altcoin on that table will not grow.

This is what everyone wants to happen, especially those who own Bitcoin. We can trust these people, because they have experience in this field and this conclusion has gone through many studies and personal experiences. However, in the past few days, Bitcoin has come down again, there is really no reason for it to be $ 98000 price.

I wouldn't really believe stuff like this anymore, it is unknown now what will happen with bitcoin, with the recent market, so I wouldn't really guess, maybe it stays at this level and never grows, maybe it goes beyond 98k$. We might have just been lucky last year, and that will never happen again.

OP, it would be much preferable to read the "existing study" than read a vague article about it and having no clue why they have arrived to their conclusion.
