I have ALTs in the top 10 and have lost a lot of money!
I will hold and hope this market goes to hell: It would Please me to lose my money and watch the market burn!
I am not happy and say thank you to the market manipulators who got rich destroying crypto.
There is no way an ETF will be approved in this manipulated circus.
The founder of ETH needs to book into a mental hospital: This guy is on another planet and is not well mentally!

This is the problem of the word "hodl." When the market falls common sense, sell your alts immediately. Don't be so stupid that you'll hodl that thing even though it is purely a shit coin.

Dumping your alt is exactly what they want you to do but you should have done it long time ago while you still can profit. If you hold up to these days, you must have lose a lot. But hey its not yet too late to dump before it goes to hell. There is no assurance whether the price go up after ETF is approved though BTC may even go even deeper than $5000 after it. If you wanna hold, then do it if not then sell it.

Why would you take pleasure in the market going to hell? You speak of Vitalik not being in the best of mental states but it sounds like you are not either. If you care or not about money is one thing but wishing to see the market burn and having invested in it are counterintuitive and sound kind of insane when put together.

Hold is only good for those who came early or bought the coin at cheap price. But if you just bought it lately holding is not advisable and should diversify your portfolio to take advantage of market situation.

You seem to have lost trust in crypto. You're jumping to conclusions about  whole market, he's not going to hell. Blockchain technology is unique and is at very beginning of its development, it has great potential and many areas for use in various areas of economy.  Now temporary downtrend in crypto marketplace and soon we will see new growth in capitalization.

maybe you need refresher to be a little calm and be patient, indeed if we don't have the right calculation then we will get a loss.

ETF I think will BTC even more when its approved. I have some altcoins that had also dropped more than 80% of its price but I'm hopeful it will rise up again after when all those people who posts such topic about hopes and hodling will stop.  The bull market will happen when you least expect it so it more people are expecting, then buying might just be not a good thing to do. Waiting til it drop more will be a lot better to do than losing USD.

Most crypto holder decrease their portfolio value more than 70% including me. I am still holding my crypto and dont have plan to sell my altcoin. Altcoin dominance right now, drop to not more than 10% and i am believe altcoin will recover when most investor not panic again

Its true that alt coin is not performing well now a days but some of the coin wll definitely came back. Like ETH, soon its price will grow up. You can also invest in BTC to secure your money

We need to hold the coins only if that is capable of recovering in the future but most of the altcoins will get buried once it fell but as you mentioned you are holding the coins of top 10 then the chances of recovering is highly possible but why you don't want to conc=vert those alts into bitcoin rather than waiting for them to go to hell.

Lost asset in high value can't become reason not do anything, you still have chance to cut loss and start another way to make money. Well it is seen that the people are becoming more anxious about the future of their altcoins. I think this is high time we stopped considering altcoins seriously because it’s really behaving like shitcoin

You have a point if you're not sure that the coin you've got will not recover sell it right away. Because holding a coin is like gambling situation its a 50-50 chance that you earn if it will recover but there's also chance it getting worse.

I think first you should stop frightening. I think it will be best for you to think with patience then you will be able to decide wisely. And if you think it’s not going to work, you should sell it immediately

it's been a long month of waiting and same as this thread i will hold longer and i don't care if the price will go to hell.
all i know is i need to buy more as it goes deeper the price.

Bearing is a very important issue in cryptocurrency market. So I always try to buy some coins when the price decreases in the market. So that I can get more profits at next level.

You must have huge money so that you don't care about the market trend, think about them who have small investment cut off from their savings, they must be worried to see the down market. I also felt that I was hurt by what happened to Altcoin which I considered the price to decline. I think prices will rise tomorrow, but what I hope doesn't happen, the price of coins continues to fall and fall. My stress.

You are not only disadvantaged while still believing in Crypto and holding some assets losing a lot of money and assets that we hold will not have value in the future.
So the best way is to hand over the Crypto money we have spent all this time and not have to sell all assets that have no value, just keep it in the wallet and ignore it for a moment and take the time to take a few months on Crypto.

That's wiser decision to hold ETH now because it's not the appropriate time to let them sell. After holding till the market price is up then it should be sold and being profited.

I can only advise buying and keeping altcoyins. Because now very low prices for coins and it is impossible to lose profit. I believe that you need to believe and pray.

True, ETFs keep getting rejected due to the market manipulation and extreme volatility. There is almost a zero percent chance that an ETF for any top 10 cryptocurrency is going to be approved, and that's probably the right decision. I think that we need to see some extreme changes in volatility before we can even consider having regulated trading for these things.

Yeah, it looks like you are in the anger phase right now. You know, there is a theory (I don't really know if it is scientific but still) which describes the feelings, or stages, which are experienced by the terminally ill patients after they find out about their diagnosis and the state they are in. If we draw an analogy here, when the market first started to crash, you were in the denial phase. You refused to believe that the market is going down and it is for real and for long. Probably, you even added to your losing position when you in fact should have closed it immediately.

Now you seem to be in the anger phase and want the market to go to hell even if it means losing a tremendous amount of money for you personally. But then you will proceed to the next phase called bargaining when you will try to negotiate with the market in some way, that you will know better next time if you are allowed to break even, that you will learn how add stop-losses and whatnot. Instead, there is the depression phase awaiting which seems to be self-explanatory. And after that comes the acceptance phase where you come to terms with your failure as a trader.

This is the best time to buy some ETH because it's market price is too low there nothing to lose if anyone buy crypto right now. It should be make people profited if they buy ETH now.

Better not to buy loads of Cryptocurrencies just for the sake of buying them except you are a day trader. Only buy and hold if you believe in the tech... It's as simple as that.

I expect that people already know by now the importance of having money in stablecoin reserved for dips. The Reserve should be spent bit by bit on dips. You shouldn't just dump the whole thing on a single dip.

This crash is all driven by the media who are influenced by big players (wallstreet, banks, etc) who want to accumulate cheap. Once they finish accumulating, you will see all these positive Bakkt articles, ETH futures articles, and how Bitcoin ETF's may be approved. I'm not selling. I'll hold to zero if I have to.

Same like me. I will hodl top coin for long-term now. The price is so good, no doubt to buy top coin.

It depends on what the altcoin is. If it one that seems to have no potential, it will not be wise to HOLD on such coin which has no future at all.

I also have a Zuflo coin HODL, I know Zuflo has because of the coin in the ICO, then it makes it token and Exchange.
While the Exchange is not yet finished, I am sure that when the Exchange is finished, Zuflo will rise in price.

my advice you should care. however, it must be painful if you feel the loss. I'm also upset with people who manipulate the market day by day. but I realize without them no one is pumping crypto to the moon. maybe you're just one of the less fortunate people because of being trapped when the bear market. it's better to take a break from the Crypto world and return when the market bull runs.

HODLing Altcoins for long-term more especially when the market is crashing is a mistake because when the market hit the button not all of the Altcoins will recover again. Some Altcoins die completely as a result of an occasional market crash.

Same goes here, i'll keep all my coins, and i'll only sell them when i had the need on those coins. if it's not then i'll keep it, perhaps until the price is going to the moon.

I do not care either if the market goes to dust. I invested the money that I could afford to lose in the beginning and after that I only invested from mining or bounties.

- legislations and regulations are destroying the profit for most part of investors

- Taxes are being looked into like really hard, and noone can predict how much money they are going to take from your pocket

- The mining market is becoming HIGHLY CENTRALIZED, with big players and ASICS destroying normal people, taking out from bussiness almost 90% of those that were interested in this market.

- End of anonimity is really really near, with governments and banks doing their best to track people investing on crypto, so that the government can crash you with taxes.

- Almost every exchange is cheating. they are manipulating the market , creating fake buy orders just to hype people up and then sell for their 10% weekly profit. This has come to an end, that's why for almost 1 month the prices have not moved a single bit. They ARE TOTALLY PLAYING WITH PEOPLE. THEY ARE KILLING THE GOLD COW REALLY QUICKLY , THOSE GREEDY BASTARDS.

- Coins are not offering what you would expect from them, and some coins like ETH are being surpassed by other easily.

- No coin is giving the amount of smart contracts or money they are getting by commercializing their coin, so you are blind at picking them. This does not happen in any other market in the world. Either you know the value, o you can see the product. Here, you cannot "track" the product, nor know the value by smarts contracts signed or amount of money won by activity.

Yeah, I am totally agree with you friend. I lost 90% of my money in dollars and 60% in BTC. There is no way out now... I will hold till the end and hope for the best :)

Looks like you have gotten huge pile of money and which you have also lost with blink of an eye. Well there is no need to worry about it if you are patient enough to wait for the market recovery. Yes, a pump is coming up ahead for sure as we approach towards the November month. This is like hitting the jackpot month and we know this from our past experiences. The crypto currency that we see today is already tried and tested since long time and now is the time when it will be put to actual throughput of development. I am pretty sure there going to be 2x to 4x jump in the crypto market. As the people start coming off their holidays, summer stuff from different regions of the world they will pump the market perfectly. So yeah, if you wait bit more then you will get more for sure.

At this point some of my altcoins are so low that there is literally no reason to sell them. Some of my investments went down more than 80% in value so selling them would make absolutely no sense at all, why would I do it ?

I am focusing more on getting more from those altcoins at these low prices than actually selling because seriously even if I sell them right now they would worth fraction of what I have invested into them and that would cause me to realize the losses I had and I do not want to do that. I would rather keep them there for years before I sell them at 80%-90%+ loss.

It is not really that easy to get more of a coin when it keeps going down, sometimes I purchase some of the same altcoins when I have some money to invest but than I check back at it and it is even lower, that really kills me but it is still better than selling it for such a big loss. If my loss was like %10 or so than I would have sold but %80+ is really too late to sell at this point.
