Title: Tracking funds in wallet
Post by: TUMAS on September 08, 2018, 11:41:55 AM
Is there an app you can download and enter a specific wallet address and get notified if funds are moved from the specific address?

That would be a difficult task to achive for most of the coins as their blockchain operation would be quite different.
For Ethereum and Ethereum based tokens, etherscan does a decent job the same way you said. I haven't found any for other multicoins.

you can try downloading Lobstr (https://lobstr.co/#start-section) on your phone, but this wallet is only for Stellar Lumens and other Stellar based tokens. if you receive or send a token, then you will get a notification via email, this application is available for iOS and Android.

For bitcoin I'd recommend SENTINEL app that is maintained by Samurai wallet devs. With it you can track single address or yet even HD wallets. I've been using this one and it is great, simple app with nice interface to use. Here is the link if you are interested: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samourai.sentinel&hl=en

For ethereum simple app that will let you track your ethereum holdings with erc20 token this works, not the best UI but works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pazhukov.ethwatcher

For both Ethereum and Bitcoin and other coins you might want to take a look at this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codit.cryptowatchwallet although I think it does not have support for tokens on eth network.

Well I use android and this is the case why I only know about android apps. There are prob others made for IOS but I don't know about them, nor I have tried any of those.

Although I don't know if such an app exists but I think creating such an application would be possible.
The basic algorithm we could use is that notify a user with the transaction ID if an address boradcasts a transaction on the blockchain.
Again I don't know if implementing it would be possible. I am just expressing my thoughts on the application development.

Seems like you want to stalk someones address bud. Have not found any apps that will notify you once their balances changes and it would interesting if there is one. Will follow this thread in the hope that there is an apps that will satisfy your needs.

Yes
There is a way to go about
Go to etherscan.io and sign up an account with them
Add your addresses to the watchlist
Allow email notifications

And you will get both inway and outway notifications

Do you even mind reading comments before you give your opinion if something is possible etc. I've put down few applications that will let you see your balance and transactions and some of them have the option to notify you. Of course this is an "easy" work as all you have to do is grab the information, data, from an API that other people provide such as blockchain.info, etherscan.io etc. unless you host your own nodes and want to build an app that will connect to your nodes. Set that every now and then the app to refresh and issue an request from an API and if something is changed issue the notification.... You clearly never programmed, or understand the basics. Please read and inform yourself before just posting just to post something.

I don’t think it will we good to use that kind of app, because if you use that kind of app that means you are giving access to the web of your personal wallet all the time that will make your wallet so much vulnerable and easy to hack.

An application like this can play a very important role for tracking and get all the information’s very easily. As I am not specialist on it I can just share my opinion, that it’s not an easier option but can be possible by experts.

I don’t have any idea about this type of app, but I think it would not be an easy task. To track a specific ID or account not as easy as the exchanges are continuous running process. But if we can develop an app like this control will be easier. I am not expert on it, I am just sharing my thoughts.

no there is no such thing, you can track your transactions via etherscan.io which you only need to search for your address and all kinds of transactions are being recorded in there. all funds you want to track is there.

There are some apps like these but they are for specific coin. They notify you about transactions you make via email such as etherscan for etherum, lobstr for stellar, Sentinel for bit coin and so on.

Dear,

No app there is with this function.
If you want track ERC20 tokens, you can set an account on etherscan and set an email advise.

On the etherscan website, after registration, you can set up notifications about the movements of coins on any Ethereum wallets.

If I want to monitor those big wallets, I think I might only be able to check them out on the block browser. Because the wallet is not my own, I want to receive a reminder, I have not seen such an app.

Haven't see something of that app. No app for tracking fund we just have to keep our eye open when sending out fund

I don’t know much about this type of apps but it would be difficult to build as the blockchain varies through coin to coin. And there are also some security purpose.

For ETH wallets, I use @ETHtokenExplorer_bot, it's a bot on telegram that notifies of your every transaction on your  connected ETH wallet(s). I think you can connect only two wallets for free

There are no apps for the cause that you are looking for. And at the same time, this type of app will not be developed because it gives off the vibe that you are intending to stalk someone.

very helpful but unfortunately I don't have a Stellar Coin or a token from Stellar.
If this is true then this becomes a 40% recommendation because it does not support other tokens.

I don't know if there are such applications, but I don't think there are applications that can track all altcoin address wallets at once, because they have their own technology, not integrated with each other. until now all I know is etherscan, the website for tracking ethereum assets without having to open a wallet using a private key. but if there are similar applications or websites that can detect the movement of your assets, one thing is certain you must remain vigilant, don't let you lose all assets just because you want to get an easy / instant way

For ERC-20 ETH и NEO.  There is a telegram bot.  Any transaction, deposit, withdrawal, instantly informs.  Very comfortable and no problems. @ETHtokenExplorer_bot      @NEOTokenExplorer_BOT

That is combine app you're need like coinomi or imtoken to get notification if you get a token or coin then you can use blackfolio to know how much fund you have. Then on telegram have bot that can track all token in eth platform.

I think there is a telegram bot, that will message you all incoming transactions, but if I am not mistaking you should give your private address. It is pretty strange and I won't ever provide my private key to anyone. Be advised.

It depends on the altcoin that is supported in that wallet. I am using Trust wallet and there support 9 different altcoin, This is the best wallet on the phone that I am using. Get all the notifications sent and received, and 9 altcoin that have 9 different platforms. Pretty satisfied with it and in the future there are certainly many other altcoin to be supported

good answer. I agree with you
because I think it's difficult and different for every wallet that operates using the blockchain. I even forgot the password for the persona wallet. and in other words no one can ever access it again.

I have long enjoyed the application Etherscan that's where you can watch almost any budget and know the price of the token and all the information that interests you.

So many suggestions proffered and none saying you should be careful the apps you download by ensuring that only the trusted ones are downloaded so you risk exposing your assets and wallets to hackers

If you wanna track fund in your ERC-20 wallet, I think you just need to sign up on Etherscan with your email then you'll receive email everytime any token transferred to your wallet. I don't use this way but as I know my friends are using this way to track all token in his erc-20 wallet.

You can download blockfolio app on your mobile store and figure things out
Similarly, it’s best to use etherscan.io and ethplorer.io

Safer
Faster
And easier without any doubts whatsoever
Do the right things

I have never seen such an app, but if someone could share one, it would be great. Because it would make it easier to check all the incoming transactions. It would be also great, if it would be in a form of telegram notifications.

I don't think there is one from what i know. You did point out a good point maybe in the long term there will be ICO that wish to build their platform based on this. A problem i foresee is that there is many different coins like stellar, eth, waves etc where they are not using the same blockchain transaction unless someone create a specific wallet for each blockchain.

There are many application options available. You can try the Binance application, ImToken, Coinomi. You need to set a notification of activities in the wallet regarding buying and selling transactions, price developments so that there will be notification.

I don't think there is any kind of app that can actually do that, there is a lot of security issues that could come with an app like this that is why it has not being brought out I guess. But you can use etherscan to check your ether wallet balance without actually logging into the wallet so that makes it more secure but i don't think there is anything that cuts across all wallets

Blockfolio is an awesome app where you can track your funds. But I am writing down all my investments and holding coins on different exchanges. All the ERC-20 tokens are on my MEW wallet and it is very comfortable to use and to check your funds.
