1 Bitcoin can be divided into 100.000.000 satoshis. And with a soft fork you could easily add another few decimals..
But the price would need to extremely high in order to require additional decimals.

'Bitcoin' is just the chosen unit traded. Exchanges could easily agree on changing the unit to satoshis. You'd get 100.000.000 satoshis for ~6k$ then.. Would this feel better then ?

Bitcoin can become expensive, though not to the point where no one could buy it because there are people who are wealthier than the rest of us.

People can start learning Bitcoin but it won't always mean that they'll be buying Bitcoin. I remember there was an old thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4548634.0) here that showed some stats about Bitcoin awareness  (how many people did know Bitcoin, how many invested, etc).

I am not thinking about the sky-high price, I am feeling tense about the present market trend. Bitcoin price is falling down every day! I don't think it can reach so high in the next 5 years. If people can't buy it then do you think that will be good for the bitcoin? I don't think so.

Bitcoin reaching a ridiculously high price in the future is actually possible which entails that only the filthy rich would be able to bag one Bitcoin. But regular users like us can always get a few Sats anytime. So it doesn't matter if the price sky rockets so high.

I'll answer your title question. I think you can still buy bitcoin even just in satoshi's because bitcoin is not a physical coin you can still buy bitcoin even just a 1 satoshi but the problem is the fee is high but maybe in the future, the fee will reduce and much cheaper.

Bitcoin is unpredictable and we don't know if the price of bitcoin can be increased more or not because bitcoin depends on supply and demand so if the demand is increased and the supply decreases the possible can happen is the price of bitcoin will increase much more like what happened last year about blockhalving so this coming 2020 we will experience the bull market the same happened last year.

I do not think Bitcoin will ever reach such a high price. To survive Bitcoin needs to be bought and that is why it will remain affordable for everyone. The price of Bitcoin may rise but it will be affordable for everyone to continue to survive.

Hey which price charts did you refer because currently bitcoins is fluctuationing between 6 - 7k and these are affordable levels. If you're not aware people bought it at 20k, and they'll keep on buying it, as it's a worthy investment. I feel you're not aware but you can buy small quantities of bitcoins too, no need to purchase entire bitcoin, many people do this. Again bitcoin was already popular hence people feel safe buying and holding it.

If you witness the top value of bitcoin last year there are many people/investors are continue to buy bitcoin that is why in your question i think there will be investors will buy and hold bitcoin because they are looking for much better income or we are expecting for more increase of value. I doubt that because if you understand well then you know that you don't have to buy a complete unit of bitcoin you can always buy some portion of it and if its price goes high enough like in millions then also people will be able to buy its portions. I do not think Bitcoin prices are so high that no one can afford it. If it suits their investment strategy, there will never be a price that is too high. If the Bitcoin price is too high, it will kill its future. Not relevant, but it is possible Bitcoin prices will rise in the near future and now is the time to invest in it especially when it is decreasing.

Bit coin is already popular everyone is getting interested in bitcoin. In recent survey we can see that 80 percent of us citizen is interested in bit coin and the number of people interested in investing is so surprising.

Certain people may be so much scared enough to not see an opportunity when one comes.

Any smart individual will definitely know that as long as they know there is a great future for this market, certainly at some point the market will have a high level of demand that at that stage, a lot of people who are looking to invest will not even see the opportunity to do so anymore and what would be left is its usage most entirely as a currency, which would certainly create some balance.

At that stage, I would not say it is not a price no one can buy, but would be a price in which people will get to see its real value as a currency than focusing on the aspect of getting rich overnight.

I agree, people seem to forget about the incredibly limited amount of bitcoin that is available, if bitcoin becomes adopted and it reaches the potential that we know it has even a single bitcoin could be enough to improve your life in a significant way, the only thing that you need to do is to keep holding your coins, something that many people in the forum have understood and that is why they keep holding their bitcoin even in these market conditions.

As others have mentioned, Bitcoin is limited but divisible. It could be forked to add additional units beyond "satoshi" if the price and distribution warranted that. This is why lots of people have always pushed for using the "bits" or "mBTC" denominations. They think the high price of BTC is discouraging investment.

Fees are an interesting thing to consider though. We are keenly aware of the effect of halvings on supply, but people don't really talk much about the fact that fees are supposed to take place of the initial block subsidy. Price of bitcoin going so high will still make a lot of people to buy just the same way people are still buying now and there would be no difference, but the only issue would be, if the market still remains speculative in nature and highly volatile as a result of that, a lot of people will want to consider it too risky to be getting in by then.

Mining is profitable back in the days when bitcoin is still unpopular but now that bitcoin is verry trending all over the world , many people are now mining it which makes the difficulty to go higher . mining do somehow affect the price of bitcoin because the more the coins they mine   , the higher lesser the supply will remain and that can result for the value of bitcoin to increase .

In the meantime it is not possible because of the downstream in the price. No chances are there for any growth in the price, besides we saw fall in the price during this year. I am sure that the price will remain the same till the end of this year. I want to assume a lot of people just say things for the sake of saying it. The same way bitcoin was once less than a dollar and people are still buying the little they can buy now with exchange going on, that is the same way they would keep doing so when we get to see a higher price than this unless you are not aware that you do not necessarily need to be buying 1btc before you own a bitcoin.

If it happen in the future that the price of 1 bitcoin is too expensive for average investors then, the market will open a fraction of bitcoin which is a satoshi which I think can be affordable to us. May be because anything is possible in cryptocurrency world. According to the previous year predictions many people were sure that the price of bitcoin will be more than $50k. This prediction became false but it became true then how many people would be able to buy bitcoin? I think no one because of the too high price. Too high price is not good for new investors.

You sounded like the fraction is not in use already. We have 100 million satoshis that makes up a single bitcoin and that on its own is enough of a fraction to take advantage of.

There is no doubt in that surely the price of the bitcoin will reach very high but this is not happen immediately. It will take some years to achieve this. One day normal people will not buy bitcoin easily due to its high value. Day by day bitcoin become more famous and the investors are also very high. There are some people who manage the price of bitcoin and when they want they manipulate the market. They will never groom the price as much that is goes beyond the limit of ordinary person. They will fix a highest limit which they believe that people can buy till this limit and will never accede that limit. These whales are the big reason for bitcoin destruction.

May be the price reach to that level in the future, but I think it will not be good for bitcoin overall because the demand for bitcoin will down which may cause low price again.
