Title: Spammer spotted needs ban?
Post by: Findingnemo on September 09, 2018, 08:13:31 AM
Look at the post history (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=511952;sa=showPosts) of stealth.money (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=511952),he/she just doing posts without any contribution to the forum most of the posts were just in single words.
Examples of some of his posts
just kiddin
very good money
let's start the game again
dumpty humpty!
So he deserves the ban as per this rule?

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

Just report the posts. Mods will take care of it. You will find more if you just go to the patrol page.

Reported one post.

The user actually broke another forum rule:
Quote
32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

I see , I had also posted on Reputation ;D. But you posted first  ;). Anyway he already got tagged by Vod and me. Also reported so many post, hope he will get ban soon. Soo many similar reply with 2/3 word only. Most likely account changed hand. However now automatically will rejected from signature campaign.
Btw, I locked my thread. You can also locked now. you did good job.

He was tagged but not yet banned,I think the red tag is not enough for the serious trollers they need to be banned, hope a MOD will take action against them.

You can enable it in the settings, and then it will appear above your watch list, and below "show new repies to your posts." Enable via the checkbox Profile>Forum Profile Information, and then look for "Show patrol link: " and check it.

The user has already been banned.

Is it he banned already? Then why his signatures were still visible, normally the banned user's signature will be taken away right!

Yeah, at least that's what it says for me. I was under the impression signatures get removed too, but that may have been changed since the last time before of us read that. Perhaps its only when its permanent. I don't know how long the ban is for the user it just says they are banned.

I don't have any idea why would those members do those kind of pointless things aren't they reading the rules before posting comments here? What would they get for spamming here? Obviously bounty won't count that in and ofcoure that can be easily spotted by mods or any other members.

I often find languages like the ones you mentioned in other people's threads, but sometimes the language is left alone, I see it as if it makes rubbish in someone else's thread, I think they should not make short posts in other people's threads, like this must be reported .
