Planters has the Mr. Peanut mascot, We should create something called Mr. Bit or something to attract young people to bitcoin.

It's a good idea, but unfortunately probably just not the right time (considering what's currently going on trump wise: https://blogs.wsj.com/law/2016/08/18/anti-trump-mascot-donald-ducks-may-run-afoul-of-trademark-protections/) I'm assuming Disney is probably on high alert w/ this. If it's more of a community item though, I don't know the ramifications of that. Realistically, in order to get a "mascot", a organization (whether it be the official one, or not) would have to determine a mascot. But IDK, I think it's a little too late to determine a mascot for Bitcoin. This is something that should have been implemented from the start. Starting now would probably be in vein, and it wouldn't be used often IMO. Bitcoin is a serious thing and shouldn't be affiliated with things like 'Mr.Bit' etc. There are plenty of 'Bitcoin' logos you can use for the purposes of advertising etc, I don't see why can't you use those Unless you are targetting 6 years old and less. Anyway, you can still find plenty of bitcoin mascots by doing a quick google search. Look over at Shutterstock, they have got a few of them or even better hire someone from Fiverr to make one for you.

designers creating all sorts of graphics. Creating some sort of mascot turns bitcoin into some sort of commodity like (as above) a cartoon character when it is basically a currency and all currencies have a symbol as an identifier. |
