Post by: tibenian on March 05, 2014, 09:06:41 PM
Hi there, I had to shout it out loud. All googlable links are dead. I am in need of this binary. Please, help!

I have modminer-20120709-50c63a3.bin

I may have the other, and will check when I can

1) I uploaded this file to the FPGA (renamed to firmware.bin of cause)
2) I pressed RESET
3) I unplugged USB, plugged it in (5-10secs), led is blinking

here is what I see (ignore the formatting):

Thank you! :) Finally! :)
now windows sees it as a ModMiner QUAD (COM8)

eh, but bfgminer stopped seing it :S
may I ask you if you remember of cause  for a valid version of bfgminer to try with these pieces of hardware? or any other miner capable detecting these devices on Windows 7x64.

from bfgminer v ???? to present  the FPGA binaries have not been included in binary distributions ala windows.

the TLM file is for the micro controller or for the FPGAs?

that binary is uploaded to the FPGA board (mod miner quad) via setting it to the "mass storage" mode. then I reset it and replug so that windows sees it. bfgminer now can't see the device (windows does)

This might be something to post in the bfgminer thread or on #eligius on freenode where you can find Luke-jr for troubleshooting

Cgminer and bfgminer worked with them, I can't remember but there was a setting in the command line. Try bfgminer 2.72 (trying to remember off the top of my head) or cgminer 2.9. The readme had a section on mmq in bfgminer I think?
