I believe there many things we all need to understand when it comes to trading.

We all aim to get profit while trading and it turn out for some to be so and to some the other way ( lost), then I realize that there many basic rules that we don't put in to consideration which lead so many of trader in lost today.

Some choose to be a day trader and some long time , which I think are both good but different rules apply to both , in day trading you have to be active ad devote your time to do this in other not to loss your investment but in long time, all you need to do is to know when the token fall ad enter at the bottom to sell high which only require little of your time to check and set your stop lost to curb your lost .

But basically many dwell so much on holding, which I believe is good too but there rules that guide holding too while some say you sell and move on or buy another token or may be rebuy at the bottom , but many still sell and regret selling while some hold and regret holding too , which has made me realized that there is always a time to sell and time to hold.

Firstly, we need to understand some basic things in technical analysis which I think is good for trading and backup with fundamental analysis and don't forget that we have big boys too in the market , that manipulate price to their favour.

Secondly, don't have any romance with any coin , all are good only when it gives you profit ,so there is time to sell and time to buy ,with support of your technical analysis and you can rebuy again when it dip to get some more token.

I think this bear market is best time for long term investors to buy some token as little as $50 on like 5-10 coins or even 2 or 1 just as your capacity is and wait patiently for the time ,also make sure it's a good and potential token because many are out there as a scam .

Day trader have their choice to follow any of the tools to know when to get in or out by using 1h, 4h or 1d chart to determine their target but will be cool if their daily target are like 3-5% which I think is achievable on daily basis and don't always forget to set your stop lost.

I think this will help a little way for those that are new to crypto and I will like more people that know little or more on how to be a successful trader to add some advice for newbies to learn ,

if you are HOLDing then you can not call yourself a trader and using the word "long term" doesn't change a thing. it is an investment and as investments go you need to invest in something that has a good long term potential with low risks but a decent reward (profit).
in my opinion altcoins do not satisfy these conditions so they can not be considered investments and as a result HOLDing means nothing for them. and you shouldn't be doing it. which is why there are so many day traders in altcoins and many newbie bag holders.

That is the basic knowledge about trading and I believe we already know that but how we handle emotion or keep disciplines with our rules is important. Many people can show their theory but in field they are loser. Your calculation is good and keep up date your information for us.

With so many ALTS there must be some that you possibly think are worth holding though? I hold quite a few because i think they do have the potential to be game changers and increase substantially in the future. i think a lot of altcoins meet these conditions and i have done quite well out of my holding some and day trading others strategy so far. Some of them even earn me a passive income like KCS (kucoin exchanges own coin) so i would consider them as investments.

The crypto market is shape through sale and hold. Those coin have low price analysis on these then you decide to hold it or sale it. Tose have good price try to sale this. Now the bitcoin is in good form so try to hold it till the end of the year.

I agree with this, why do people buy coins and hoping that one day they'll get rich after that?

Well,  we all aim to gain profits while trading that's why we take our time to study when is the right time either to sell and to hold. Holding makes an investor or a trader keep his or her coin for a long term and this makes the term trader cease when the trader holds  for a long time.

Ofcourse there's no way of knowing for sure. Certainly wouldn't be selling at this point though with the market already so low, especially alts.

This is time to buy and hold to die. Just need to check and find potential projects.

In my own opinion, I think the time to buy is when the price is low and the time to sell is the time the price goes up. This is how someone can make profit from trading cryptocurrency

and yet I do not oppose trade, but personally I do not get it at all and personally I will not trade but will only keep for the long term

How you know when it is the time to buy? For me, now is the time only to hold my coins and also it have enough fiat, then you can go and accumulate your coins if you still believe and dare enough to buy.

I think a trader who is good in reading charts and technical analysis will never hodl, because he can extract more profit by trading and he trades what he sees, so for such a person hodling is never an option, hodling is for new investors and someone who has extra bucks and want to invest for a longtime to see gains after years of growth.

I just feel this period is for traders, people need to have short, medium and long term strategies in the space. Most people are thinking the time of 10X return will continue and have turned to bagholders of these tokens. We need to hve a rethink because we have all seen that everyone is hurting

Its time to hold your coins because  ethereum is very down nowadays so its better to be patient and watch untill ethereum grows and sell your coins when ethereum rises.  You will got huge profit from it.

In my opinion, I think it's better to hold now than to sell. Why? because the markets are too low and you will just lose bunch of your money if you sold it now. If you really need the money then sell it but if you're planning big for the future or maybe thinking of it as an lifetime investment then hold it as long as you can.

You say exactly, if everyone thinks hold coin is profitable, then who will be the buyer and the seller? And the coin will have a low volume, even if it is high it will not have good liquidity to sell a large amount of coin.

Actually, there is not specific time to buy or sell, we don't even know what coins he or she is trading in the first place, so the market can change from a minute to another, at the end, it all depends on the level of awareness that the trader has over the market.

Hmm this could be a little bit tough but i would love to say this we all know that when ever the market is bearish its very difficult to sell those who sell could be out of panic or whatever hold when the market is down sell when the price is stable enough

There is a time to sell and there is a time to hold, now is the time to hold your coins, the time to sell your coins is during the bear market, that way you can be sure that when you are selling that you are actually making some money from the market. If you sell during a bear market then you are doing nothing but causing yourself losses

    We follow some strategy in this Crypto Currency Market... some are on trading and some are on HODL.. It is individual preference to do either of the mention strategy or form of investment into the market. but one should note that Market is Volitile and what ever you do it is your decision for your investment.

I believe that the best time to buy is during the bear market where the price value is low. In the current situation where cryptos had slightly increase is not the right time to buy. Hold strategy is common to investors in times where it is also in bear market and once it made into bullish market where there is a significant increase, it will be time to sell your coins and earn promising profit.

It's crying need to know the timing of sell and hold if anyone wants to entered into trade. In long term trading there are not a fix time for holding the sell time will be set as investors expectation.

Make sure to make a backup plan when you might intended to make a hold for a long term. Because you are aiming for a long run hold, make sure also to keep watch the prices even in a weekly basis, because we don't know when will the coin drops hard on increases hard.

We all know that all these crypto currencies in which we are engaged and are investing a lot are totally volatile in nature and therefore their valuation keeps on flactuation with time and varies according to market demand and supply so one have to invest very wisely and precisely in bitcoin investment as when to hold and when to sell your coin and needs to take your call from brain , there is nothing to do with emotions as emotions will hinder our path to success.

No one can't even predicet when the prices will increase or decrease so it is all like taking the decision based on our instution,then the trading differes from holding when we are going to invest our money in very long term then you will be called as investor over trader which maybe less risky but if you are a trader means you need to move your fund to make money.

it is true that you can not predict the market and prices but also at the same time you should not start gambling with your money because you think market is not predictable!
what you can do is to predict the market with a certain room for error IF you have enough experience in that market. for instance there are times that you can clearly see the pumps are ongoing and you can jump on board and predict a certain possible profit (like 10% in that day) then dump when you reach your 10%  to take the profit and be happy about that day.

So many people fail in this industry because they really do not know when and when not to do the right thing. You see people selling off their coins at times like these cos of panic and fear of the unknown, and you just feel pity for them. Moments like these are the best time to hodl and not sell your coins. Sell at high prices, not low prices.

I like your opinion and the way you think. I think that now most people really act on such tactics. But most likely it will be profitable only after a couple of years. Right now we're just waiting for the real coin value explosion. Really looking forward to

There are different kind for this.
If you will just hold your tokens then you are not a trader and you are a holder or investor of that token.
If you will play in the market for buy and sell then that is what we call a trader.
Trader always play the market and they earn good to it, but must have a right knowledge.

Come on mate it's time to be careful as the market is very down you need to hodl the coins. Obviously the ups and down depends on market but we cannot predict anything. If you want to earn money kindly hold and wait for your turn.

Being a trader is not a easy task and everyone cannot be a trader as there are huge risks involved as you can either win a jackpot or end up losing your capital as well. It's all about knowledge and prior experience and presence of mind as these are the deciding factor of an successful trader.

That is, there's time for everything, if you miss the chance to invest you'll blame yourself and if you miss your chance to sell, you will never forgive once self.

If you know you are not ready to take a risk, then why take the risk. There are different form of risk to take and among which some are reasonable enough to take, because you know you have a better chance to make your profit. I can't imagine someone buying a shit coin, holding it and thinking he can wait for long and still make profit from it. If you know you want to hold, then buy a good coin that has good future prospects and hold.

There are always and will be people dissatisfied with their decisions. Selling or holding is up to you. I'm more inclined to trade, but I can also understand why people hold in the long run.

Yes there is a time to sell and there is a time to hold. the time to sell was in january when the market was still in a bull but not now. Now is the time to buy coins and hold for the long term. If you do not have patience and the will to hodl the coins for a long time before selling them then you will end up not making any money from the coin

We can sell anytime we want specially if we are a trader you should buy and sell your holding so you will have profit on it. But you can hold now because your invest don't have profit yet because I don't fell the bull run. I think we should hold November to December or until first month next year. But then it's only my prediction.

It's still time to HODL as the market is not fully recovered yet. I believe the time to sell is when the market is fully recovered.

traders usually have a schedule to buy and hold, but for now many traders choose to make a purchase and when prices rise a few percent must sell immediately. This is useful to avoid dumps.
but there are also investors who choose to sell rather than hold or hold rather than sell.

This is the time to hold any crypto because it's market price is down now but if anyone sell their crypto because of fear of the down trend the they loss the chance to be benefitted.

This is a good strategy to make good profit. When market price falls, one should hold coins with patience.And if the price rise to high should sell all of his coins. This is a good points in crypto market to make a good profit.

in my opinion at the moment the best solution is definitely a hold .. I understand that I made a mistake and did not sell part of my coins half a year ago ... but at the moment  , I dont  see sense to sell ...now I have to wait ..

I think in terms of trading there must be a party that is profitable and there are also parties who are disadvantaged but all that can be closed if we are smart in taking a stance in trading for example we fail to trade on coin A with a loss at the time of sale because prices continue to decline but on Crypto given a lot of choices, of course we can use all the options to cover the losses experienced on certain coins because as you said we all definitely want the benefits of buying and selling rotations like that to continue with Crypto.
