Post by: byteminr on September 11, 2018, 07:04:03 PM
I think to sell anything on this market is not good idea. But many people have a different point of view
What are you doing with all your coins\tokens ?
Hold, Sell, Or change to promising (for your opinion) coins?

And which TOP 5 in your portfolio?

My top is:
BTC
EOS
XTZ
XLM
ADA

The bear market has afforded me the opportunity of buying some coins that were out my reach before now. Sold some of my not so fantastic coins out of hindsight, now they are almost worthless. The money generated was used to buy more good coins. Can't say I'm ready for bull market, but I'm tried accumulating.

I do not understand people who invest their money and when in half a year they see that their pork is very much lost, then in a panic I sell at a loss. Guys, but this is a bear market, now all coins and tokens are losing up to 80 percent of the price in December 2017. The market will recover, do not panic!

I think so. If you want to earn money you should be patient especially on the crypto market

So why you not ready for bull market? You want to buy something else until market is deep?

I am holding it for sure. Never panic sold any.

If I have fresh fiat, I inject it in the market step by step and I accumulate the following;

WAN
CPX
NEO
ETH
BLZ

Only dumb people would really have that kind of decision on selling out their holdings on this very bearish market.Whats the reason to sell? To cutloss? You are even making yourself to a big loss since there no going back once you sell off your holdings unlike on just holding it up and forget you do still have the chance for recovery.Dont ever tend to sell unless on some circumstances or emergencies that you do really need money then you wont really have any choice. My portfolio is bleeding and I cant afford to check it once in a while.

You have chosen quite interesting crypto-currencies for investing in a bear market.

I have now sold all the crypto-currencies and bought only BTC and EOS. I think this is the right decision

Generally I understand that the market should stop, because it's all the same for crypto currency. But I do not understand why this is the fall of the crypto-currency market. Is it because of a large number of scammers among users of crypto currency? Perhaps the whole panic in the market is provoked by artificial manipulation of the minds of users of crypto currency.

What do I have to do with the bear market like you said, I kept them all there dumping more each and every day and hoping they will turn on the green bar some day, the worst part of it all is when you have over 200> down line on ur eth wallet and they're not even up to a$100 then you realize it is good to neglect such wallet and watch thing happening.

Personally I have moved the majority of my portfolio into more stable coins, such as Bitcoin and Dash right now and liquidated all of my bags and trashcoins into USDT. I think that the strongest coins right now are EOS, Dash, Monero and platforms coins, ERC20 tokens are getting absolutely smashed so best to avoid them at all costs.

But I have packed some valuable amount of etc wave and stellar tokens

Add it up to my Etherum available and bitcoin
I think I’m ready for the bull run

Right now I'm not doing much, I'm planning to buy some ethereum but before doing that I want to improve my abilities as an investor and as a trader, that will probably mean that I'm going to lose the opportunity to buy ethereum for its best possible price but I'm fine with that as long as I get profits out of that investment, but if ethereum recovers before I can do that then it's likely that I will just hold my bitcoin.

I agree. Selling will make lose more money in the long run. The best thing to do if to follow what others say, hodl. Be patient and wait for the market to recover. Only those with patient and persevere are the one who will win the battle of crypto hodling. For now, I am hodling btc and eth. I'm still working on my capital to buy alts but I am planning to buy a coin within the top 50.

You have a good collection of coins which are relatively  stable, I am not to much of a fan of tether as a lot of persons are scared of it too. Some altcoins are tending towards zero in value

Holding now probably become better decision for me than selling. The market now is not pretty good and not a good opportunity because all coins now become worthless, seems losing out their value. I have better to wait and hold my everything while the market recover. Or even purchasing is a little bit good if we want to increase our coins.

I am holding bitcoin in the biggest part, then eth, eos and Ada, and doing not too much with them, probably going to invest on some other coins to see if I can trade them on a daily basis.

One of my main objectives in this bearish market is to try to increase my portfolio, I try to have at least 70% in stable currencies that I know will have excellent potential in a couple of years, the other 30% I use to trade between different ICOs and thus be able to increase my investment.

I will hold and don't see any coins and tokens. If I sell them in this bear market,  I am sure that I will regret later when all market recover and all coins and tokens up trend.

I think the best thing can be done now would be buying more coins, but that's not easy you have probably bought much before with you fiat money. Most people only calculate the value of their coins in btc or usd nowadays.

I'm doing the same and for many people that sounds too passive, but what they do not seem to get is that there are many instances in which the best thing that you can do is to do nothing, I know the sound of that, many people may think that is a weird thing to do or in this case not to do but sometimes the only thing that you can do is to wait for the circumstances in the market improve.

It will be a worse idea to sell the coins in bear market. If we know we have the good coins in our portfolio. Its always better to have patience. I always beleive on my coin selection. I will hold my coins I am neither planing to sell it nor to change it with other coins. I will hold it for long-term. The top five coins with me are Bitshare, Bax, Eth, Waves and Pundi in my portfolio.

I will just hold my coins as i always observe a money management rule which will not make me over stretch my finance, so even in a bear market the price does not really affect me but my portfolio price.
Metamorph coin is the most valuable in my wallet now.

Honestly nothing that different from when its bull. When the prices are high, I get paid dollar value, so if ethereum is 200$ and I get paid 50$ than I get 0.25 ethereum. If the price is 100 dollars than I get paid 0.5 ethereum, and if its 1000 dollars than I get paid 0.05. So basically nothing changes for me aside from the fact that I get paid more ethereum when its low and less ethereum when its high.

It's meaning when the prices are low, I try to save as much ethereum as possible so when the price goes up I get more in return, now if you consider this daily, than best course of action is to put aside some constantly, even tho I barely can (because I spend most my earnings for living) I do put up like 100 bucks a month or so at a side.

Sincerity matters alot and for this recent bear market I have kept my portfolio secure and stop looking at it. I believe that sooner than later it will come back up and the market will be all green again and again. So holding is never a bad idea in the Crypto space as it will only take time for the growth to come back. Let's be patience and keep doing the right thing for digital currency is here to stay for Good.

It is no point of selling anything during this kind of a bear market. So the only thing now everyone has to do is holding their tokens a little bit more time expecting that the market will recover sooner.

In short, I do not do anything with my portfolio, because I understand that our whole world is cyclical as well as Dow theory, it's quite obvious that people very often simply do not understand this and are considering shorter forecasts
This is big problem but not only in the markets but in everyday life as well, I see a lot of people that are only concentrated on the short term and they only care about what they're going to do tomorrow or at best in a week, when they should be worried not only about that but about what they are going to do in the next year or even the next 20 years, this is why I'm not worried, yes the market is not giving a lot of profits right now but I know this is going to change in a few years so I am not in any kind of hurry to sell my coins.

Most times, i review the coins i have in the portfolio and i check for updates regularly, if there is any coin that is derailing from the roadmap, i quickly sell if the price is good and i move on to another coin that perhaps has good prospects. In my honest view, if you have a good coin that had plummeted in this bear market, i would advise you hodl, because such coin will definitely rise by the time the market improves. Patience is a virtue needed in this crypto space.

I think that panic makes people sell. Fear that they can lose everything. And such people are not few. My friend talked about people who took a loan in December last year, bought bitcoins, then in February they were sold and now they tell everyone that Bitcoin is fraud

BTC
ETH

That two is on top of my list.
I am a new buyer of Ethereum and I still think it got the power to be in high value again. So this may be the last chance to get it at a cheaper price.
I do nothing with the bear market. Actually, do we have a choice?

Same goes with my BTC. I might use the profit from my ETH investment to buy another bitcoin.

what am i doing?
i have a portfolio instead of a bag! a portfolio is a basket of valuable assets that are unrelated, have low risk and good future for return. altcoins have no place in that basket, if you start building one containing altcoins then you can not call that a portfolio it is a bag you are holding which loses value over time.
my portfolio has bitcoin, gold and some stocks in it and i am starting to add real estate to the mix too.
besides what you are calling bear market is not even a bear market it is an altcoin dumping period which all the coins are getting dumped.

holding all of the coins, cannot be taking any chances in such a market and that is the truth, it is better to hold my portfolio and wait for the prices to go back up. The coins are not even worth near half as much as they did in january so selling now would be a big mistake so I am locking up the coins and making sure that they are safe for the long wait

I personally take a combination of investment methods. During this period of time, the cryptocurrency is in a bear market. I think this is a good opportunity to buy. I will divide my funds into several parts. After paying close attention to the market price, I will buy them in batches when appropriate. Several kinds of coins that you are optimistic about, then wait patiently, patience will let me get more profit

The situation on the market now allowed to buy many coins at a very favorable price. I think the coins bought earlier to sell it is not necessary, it is necessary to wait for growth and market stabilization. Very high hopes for trx, ada and ocn

What are you doing with all your coins\tokens ?

And which TOP 5 in your portfolio?

My top is:

ADA

I prefer to hold all the coins I have. and I will buy again, if the price of the coin is cheaper. but a few days ago, I sold a few coins to buy eth. because at that time I saw ethereum prices were very cheap, which was under $ 200.

And which TOP 5 in your portfolio?
now I have BTC, ETH, EOS, Ripple, BCH, DASH, LTC and many more

During bear market, I don't move or sell my coins, I just let them to be in my wallet during that time because I already lost some funds and I don't want to add them either, that's I just hold them until the markets was being recovered the prices in the recent time before selling it.

I will hold my COINS because I always follow the money management rules and don't throw them out in a market downturn. But I changed some of the counterfeit money into ether, which I think has more room to grow.

I also think so.
This bear market is really special because it takes so long time. In means that this is not the right time for selling our coins.
I myself only have some coins (mostly from ICO). SO, i just make it as my precious future holding and keep it in my wallet.

At present, I think the most decline is Ethereum, and I still think that Ethereum is the best cryptocurrency on the market, so it will be a better choice to continue investing in Ethereum. I believe it will have a big rise in the future. Space, so I will continue to invest in Ethereum.

I like Ethereum but I don't think that ETH is best coin. They have a lot of problems but I hope their good community fix it

I have been selling all shit coins gained from bounties and liquidating them and placing them into high quality top 200 coins.  I'm hoping during the next rise the shit coins will die and the good coins will fly to new highs.  It's definitely make or break time with this current cycle as the swing was huge.

Youre idea is good as well changing to more potential hold token or coin is suited in this bear market. But it will be hard to pick which one will advance or increase in price. This is not possible without researching what best on that projects. For me, it is really hard to acquire big profit in the bear market only professional trader can only scalp on it and there is no guaranteed of winning on trading. But some of my friend can income 50$ a day due to day trading. This is amazing since its hard to predict the market movement and the coin itself. Experience is the best teacher for this situation. But for investors like me who rely only to potential growth by holding its better to hold top coins which ate undervalued now like eth.

I agree about trading. But changing coins to more interesting (promising) is not to hard when all market is deep.
For example I recieve rewards for bounty and change this coins for another coins that I like more

For every investor that went through last year pump and dump will be wiser on handling the next bull run, by saving enough in the right way either in tether or usdt as cashing out profit or reinvesting when it dumps. The truth is that patience is the requirement but can only work if one has not used the fund for food money, probably as a family man.

On the bear market, I'm being conservative and I only hold, hoping that the cryptocurrencies in which I have invested approach their ATHs and I can sell part or all to make an interesting profit. Like many, I think it is a very bad time to sell and I would rather recommend buying at such low prices to comfort positions and hold in the medium / long term because sooner or later the market will recover completely and it will be the best time to sell. In my portfolio, I also have a bit of BTC, ETH and XRP.

Everything depends on your personal situation. It is very hard to give you any advice not knowing all the details, also I think it would be illegal since I am not a financial advisor :)
But i can tell you about my situation and thoughts. I sold almost everything already. Less than 10% of my investment still in crypto. And only because I have some part of my coins is locked one way or another.
But I still believe in crypto-future and I am just waiting for a right moment to come back.

Always a smart move and the smartest move when you are picking them at their dips. The bear market is always a good time to always go bullish and be buying the dips while everyone is busy getting scared and some are even panic selling. The best time to sell is when everyone starts buying and most especially when people start getting greedy is when you should be more scared. For an investor, always look out for buying good coins with products at the dip, as you cannot have it better.

With my portfolio I’m doing the obvious just hold and hope for recovery not much you can do selingbis not an option and trading is not of my liking so I just sit tight and wait
Well, for someone like me with the knowledge of trading, I have gallantly taken time to wait for the bear market and I made sure I was able to take advantage of the dips as most of the altcoins reached their historical bottom. That is what I always expect any smart investor to always do anyway but what you see people doing is to keep buying the peaks and then selling the bottom, which is the most stupid thing for anyone to ever do but unfortunately people do it.

I am not the person who recommends the sale in the month and likewise does not sell much in my portfolio. Especially after the start of the downtrend, I move carefully and I always try to make a purchase in order to evaluate each hard drop fluctuation. I know that these accumulations, especially during this period, will provide a very nice return within the bull period and all of these investments will be closed positively. In order to list the options I have invested heavily in NEO, QTUM, ADA, Ethereum and Bitcoin in the form of a process will occur. The reason I prefer altcoin is that the risk and return are highly proportional.

You have a good collection of coins which are relatively  stable, I am not to much of a fan of tether as a lot of persons are scared of it too. Some altcoins are tending towards zero in value

PATIENT is the Key during these time of Bear Market...Timing is also greatly important when to protect your investment and wait for the Stable Market for possible trading for profits. One should note that Market is Volstile and unpredictable, no one know what will happen in the market trading. Let's wait and don't panic..good luck guys.

for now all the coins or tokens that I have will still be held by me. because the price that I specify is not fulfilled at this time if I sell now. but if only I still had enough capital to buy another coin that I want now, I would definitely buy it soon. because the price of coins in the market today is very cheap. and I can use the situation to become a long-term investment and get a lot of profit.

Selling in this market situation is not really good nor bad.
You can sell your tokens/coins if you think it will fall more and you can buy at the very low.
You can also just buy more tokens and keep your holdings tight.

Its not wrong if an holder decides to sell.

What's wrong is if he sold during the wrong timing. We hold different coins and we have the authority to do whatever we want to it. Take profits as early as you can and just buy back if you think that its still worth to hold that coin. Make your decisions firm and don't be discourage if others thinks that you're not doing well.

Selling many of my tokens makes no sense, I just do not pay attention to them, I think their time will come.

You should be more flexible on this market and know how to transfer capital from battered coins to more perspective. It is possible that impaired assets have never been earnt profit or been propelled into zero. If you plan to make a profit on this market then the Strategy «Hold» doesn’t enough now. At least, it is necessary to lock in profits and if you have a necessity to transfer assets from one to another.

yeah, many people think that selling is now a stupidity, but they know that each person holds some different coin. And the bad coin should sell early is a natural thing

I fully agree that you need to make a decision yourself and less follow others.
Also, I'm not seeing anything wrong with selling tokens right after receiving, we do not pay for them. I just do not do it myself
This is probably one of the reason why many aren't doing good.

They tend to please others but they are not thinking of themselves. Use those suggestions if they think that you are not doing well and improve yourself on that part. It's your coin, it's your money and whether you gain or loss it's still yours, not them so you don't have to please others base on your profiting power.

I am holding all of the coins that I have right now, which is the best thing to do in a bear market. I have no plans of selling the coins as their prices are way too low for me to be thinking about selling them. I sometimes trade some coins for another when I think that the market for that coin is not doing well so as to avoid losses.

Time to take stronger positions on  coins I own and possibly get into some I've been waiting for a good price to get in at. Then kick back and hodl!

Keep the entire portfolio from January. Not sold a single token. At the end of the summer bought - IOTEX. I believe in the project! Still trading above the ICO price!

Best thing to do with portfolios in this bear market is to hodl. Patience is  a better option to adopt in crypto. Selling now is not a very good idea.
