I think the best is that of the currency. Which on the sly can steadily keep its course. And thus to grow and develop. These are on the market. But many do not have enough improvements. And these are questions for developers.

I think Ethereum. Ripples is not a cryptocurrency at all, and so it can never be better than Ethereum

Complete agreement. If we choose between these two cryptocurrencies I will give my vote to ethereum. Ripple enters into contracts with banks and that's good, but it is not a cryptocurrency.

None can overtake bitcoin,  don't forget it paved way for others.

With the whole red crypto  market i cannot specifically point out the cryptocurrency that will become the next best cryptocurrency in the market. but if i were to choose, i'll go for Ethereum.

Neither of them. The only really missing thing for Bitcoin is fungibility. If Bitcoin will ever become fungible (this should also mean anonymous for real) then it could be the best one forever.
Until then, other coins have a chance to rise. I would like something between Monero (anon, fungible) and Waves (easy platform for tokens).

My take is ethereum, there are too much accusations of not being a cryptopcurrency on ripple it is believe that ripple is too centralized to be called a cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin will remain the number one crypto currency as long as the government does not make regulations about crypto currencies.

Bitcoin will always be the best cryptocurrency, it is going to dominate the market for a long time by the looks of it. there is no other coin that is doing well enough right now for them to be able to catch up with bitcoin, not to talk about taking it over and becoming the best coin in the market. Maybe eth but now eth is just struggling to keep its own head above water

Why do you think Ripple should be nominated? I think NEO and Tron have a good chance after Ethereum. Current ETH price may make you confuse but it is strongly struggling to grow again like the second most valuable crypto. So, ETH is the next big currency IMO.

ethereum is a good altcoin and has a large market capitalization but Ethereum has no inventory limits, I think that's the biggest weakness of Ethereum, I think that altcoins that have more potential and can be more than Ethereum is Eos, Eos has technology similar to Ethereum but Eos is more sophisticated and better, I think eos only needs time to divert Ethereum.

Bitcoin will always be the next best cryptocurrency, i dont see ether or ripple taking over, especially not ripple. Lightning network is not yet in full swing, but will be in next year. After that it will be difficult to claim that your alt has high tx count as an advantage.

Not both, and also ETH has lost popularity right now.
Bitcoin will be always in the top of cryptocurrency because it's the mother of all coins, pair of other alts.

when Ethereum was dropping, I bought Ethereum more for HODL purposes, because I still believed in Ethereum
yesterday I heard good news about Ethereum, it is estimated that by the end of 2018, there will be a price recovery on Ethereum
besides, my favorite coin is the Credits (CS) that I am waiting for the release of the product

ETH, ETH ETH. I don't think ripple even stand any chance close to ETH or every other promising coins at all. Even before Ripple, I will rather take either Eos or Ltc as the next big thing.

everyone knows that ripple is only centralized, in contrast to decentralized ethereum. that's the reason I never touched the ripple and I think ethereum is better than ripple. but don't miss bitcoin in your portfolio.

The future of cryptocurrency is mem coin - DOGE, which show unpredictable and unrepeatable growth against the background of general decline.

Here I goes with ethereum because I see Ethereum has good potential then ripple. Ripple is centralised and that's why i don't think it have good future I have read somewhere that ripple developers have 60 percent of coins and they may dump ripple anytime.

Bitcoin is the best of all the cryptocurrencies and it won't be changed.

There are so many altcoin right now and even coin that are doing well. But bitcoin is the king and will remain the best

I think no one can replace bitcoin in crypto currency market may be we can consider them as the most improved crypto but not to consider as replacement of bitcoin because bitcoin has a very wide coverage of investors and who really trust on it.

I see ethereum becoming the next best  cryptocurrency

I think that this might not be so easy to tell. One thing that this  market has shown us is that despite the experts and professionals that we have in the market, when the market really want to make something happen, it might be really difficult to predict. The market can play a fast one at us at any point, so any coin can rise up to be the best coin in the near future.

I'm very confident with the presence of IOTA which produces developments that continue to increase and make the IOTA is able to have the value that keeps up and generate more profits. so IOTA is very capable of being the best coins that yield progress on Cryptocurrency.

Ripple in several hours ago take ethereum place as biggest market cap after bitcoin. But i am still believe ethereum is still good than ripple to hold for long term because ethereum used by many token in market and its make ethereum needed for paying transaction fee

XRP went back to third place its right there, about to pass ETH again lol

xRapid will come out in a few weeks and that will, for sure, pump XRP up a bit

There is no doubt, it would be still ETH to be the next cryptocurrency next to BTC in this current situation. I think XRP is gaining more support from the people and I believe that sooner or later XRP will most likely headed up to the 2nd rank but it may take longer time for it to replace ETH. Moreover, BTC will still be the leading cryptocurrency in the world and will continuously to dominate in the crypto market.

The big possibility will be Ethereum because in 2018, although the ETH exchange rate fell more than 70% in exchange rate but still stood at No. 2 because market cap is still very high, trading volume is very high and improved as well upgraded very often. ETH will thus be a potential crypto in the future and be able to surpass the Bitcoin market cap.

Ethereum, all that is need just to wait for Ethereum 2.0 release (POS, Sharding and other features) and we will see the real power of ETH

The best Cryptocurrency always stay BTC, i am almost sure. But if we talking about another good cryptos - it is Ethereum ofcaurse and it is another good like Stellar, XEM. Also, some crypto idols, like John Mcafee say, that Docademic is very good and it give a big profit.

in my opinion, the bitcoe coin will always be in the first place, it will be very difficult to get around if you look at the capitalization that all coins are still very far from bitkoynov, so bitkoyn is the first coin in the near future

Ethereum is the next best cryptocurrency after fee years from now. Because that coin many ICO's are accepting payment ethereum or partnership with this coin. Ripple is also good to invest but I think ethereum is the best.

Currently now bitcoin is the best and most popular cryptocurrency, but perhaps in the future there will probably be a coin to take bitcoin place.
