Title: Dwindling of Ethereum Price and its Effects on ICO Projects
Post by: upyem2k on September 13, 2018, 09:36:49 AM
As the past few months has been about the dwindling in the price of ethereum and bitcoin. It has had a grave effects on the ICO projects which base their soft and hard card on Ethereum. The recent Ethereum market has experienced much rises and falls but the fall has been in a very large extent compared to the rise in the price.
Some project started and cap Ethereum price at USD1,000 but the price is currently below USD200 which can lead to failure to meet up with the caps set bet those projects.
What do you think can be the way outs for such projects?

It can be said for sure that the situation with falling prices has a negative impact on ICO projects.  Companies are waiting for market improvements for product release.  Today it is very difficult to make some assumptions.  The cryptocurrency market is unpredictable, can rise, and sink even lower.

the solution that can be taken is to return all investor funds due to the failure of the project that cannot meet the target, with the price of etherum which is so plummeting that it is impossible for investors to benefit

For the most part, the following happens: many blockchain projects that pass the ICO stage increase the time or temporarily postpone the start for raising funds, extend the bounty of the company, do not hurry with listing on the exchange. The situation is not rosy.

And many more projects postpone the holding of ICOs or return investors to etherium tokens.  And most of the projects now extend the ICO dates.

It has no doubt been a turbulent season for ICO projects. This brings us back to the point that project teams should not rely on ICO funds for their projects. They should have a base capital before thinking of floating any token project. We have seen so many successful projects without token sales. So, the issue of reaching hardcap or softcap shouldn't be a factor. The would-be investors can always get your tokens from the exchange of your project is good.

Most people are of the view that all these ico projects are the main reason behind eth crash, as most of these icos have cashed out to fiat in huge amounts in last few weeks, still im hopeful that eth will regain its highs just wait for reversal that is highly expected in january.

everything will be fine with the projects that are coming out now. they created themselves at the right time. when the market will grow their token will be very popular. Of course if it is a good project

For almost all projects, it is very difficult to attract investors' funds when conducting an ICO and to achieve hardcap and softcap, because of the unfavorable market situation, including the reduction of the ETH price. But the price of ETH also decreases due to the fact that there is no demand for projects, so everything is interconnected and you need to wait for the market to recover.

Dwindling price of ethereum is negative to the ICOs because most of the ICOs can't meet their target by raising enough fund to develop the project hence some resorted to extending or postponing tokensale, in short it has not been easy for the ICOs since the price of crypto ethereum is dropping drastically

I think that at the moment nothing will change. The Ethereum price will continue to remain at this level or even fall even further, at least until the end of January. It's sad because I'm waiting for Ethereum to grow.

When the ethereum price are on a bad state, most ico projects are pausing their token sale and trying to change the cap price for their token conversion in ethereum. It would be unwise to still buy even ethereum price is now low.

That is true on some ICO but some are pegged their ico price to USD. I think this is much fair since the eth price is so unstable. With USD's movement the price is much okay especially if youre participating on some ICOs. You dont want to lose the value of your money so much right? Pick those ICOs that pegged in USD to be more safer.

In fact, not all ICO projects need to rely on large amounts of money to operate. I think that even if the project raises enough funds, most of the money will be spent on private wallets rather than development projects!

Many projects due to falling market HardCap was SoftCap. Therefore, many of them cannot raise the required amount. This had a very negative impact on the ICO. It seems to me that the output will collect the required amount in coins that do not strongly depend on the market movement. For example USDT

As any bounty hunter can tell you the new ico projects are extending their deadlines with icos lasting up to half a year now. The old ones are reeling right now if they haven't cashed out their coins already

the solution now is to hold your tokens and buy ETH as much as possible, in my calculation the price of ETH will definitely not drop below $ 100. and I have confidence that ETH will rise again in the Q1 2019 period.

The trend in the ICO market directly affects the price of Ethereum, but the price of Ethereum will not affect the amount of ICO projects raised!

they can convert the selling price of their tokens, from btc or eth to usd, so no matter the price of btc and eth goes up or down, the price remains based on usd. now all ico have difficulty reaching their targets, only a few of them can reach a hard cap, even soft caps are rarely achieved.

Until now, ICOs have mostly used Ethereum blockchain platform, as the price of Ethereum dipping continuously, it is high time they should start using other good platform such as Neo and Eos.

With falling prices in the market, many investors refuse to invest in projects, as the current trend shows that there is a large percentage of investment losses. That is why many projects hardly reach the soft cap, or do not reach it at all.

The ICO biggest mistake is only accepting ETH as payment, so when the price of ETH is free fall they can't do anything. Because of this reason, there are now many ICO that extend the duration of their sales and even some of them had make decisions to refunds to investors, even though they have reached the softcap.

Crypto currencies is a pretty risky industry and if you are going to hold an ICO, you should understand that there are a lot of risks. The price of the contribution coin can go down, you own token can lose the price and so on.

If the ethereum price decreases, it really affects the income of ICO. But that is a good thing. If ethereum decreases, that means investors will invest more than before. Because if you buy ethereum at the current price, of course you get a lot. And more investment in ICO. So what happens to this decrease in ethereum can be said to be good you could say no.

The main thing is not to panic and not to sell. The solution is to hold your tokens and buy ETH as much as possible. Today is the right day. ETH fall all the same below $ 100 and is 91-93 dollars. ETH will rise again in early 2019. With the availability of free money, I would spend all on the purchase of ETH today.

While the situation in the cryptocurrency market will not change, all investors in the ICO will expect either a return of funds or a long wait.

At the end of the ICO, I am almost sure that the team led out the collected ethereum to Fiat. Therefore, projects should not pay pay attention prices and do what they promised in the road map and do not refer to their inaction by today's market.

I think the price reduction of Ethereum will not affect the ICO phase of the project because they can increase the number of acquisitions to achieve the desired goal!

The many ICOs that sprang up actually caused the price of ETH and BTC to shoot up. It turned out that most of the ICO projects were just mere academic exercise with no real value. Not the dice is cast and more and more people are realizing this truism, therefore, ETH price is coming down. Had it been that all the numerous ICOs were projects having real-time use, the reverse would have been the case.

i also think the effects are mostly in reverse. it is the ICO projects that are dwindling and are taking Ethereum price down with them in first place. at least this is the main and starting reason for the biggest part of the drop then there is the fact that ETH has been pumped so it had to drop. otherwise i don't see any change in the projects themselves whatsoever, we still keep seeing the same low quality and useless tokens be created but now they are failing.

It is not just ethereum price that really stops the ICO projects. It is the whole market and people having absolutely no promise of profit in the near future causing them not to have any money to invest into new projects.

Back in the days, when ICO projects got funded millions of dollars in an hour or so that was because people invested couple thousand dollars into something and the all time high prices made that into tens of thousands of dollars so they tried to spend some of the profits into ICO so they could make money again. Considering none of us made any money this year it means we are also not really looking into investing into any ICO project neither.

Regardless of the ETH price it is not a good time to start investing into unknown projects and keep our money in safe bets like btc and eth.

In situations like this, it is very difficult to predict. Market prices are volatile and prices often fall. So this has an impact on the ICO project because many projects use the Ethereum platform. The price of ICO tokens will increase if the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum increases. But that also requires a process because now many people throw coins.

Thats another possible reasons for some project. Eth price is peg to bitcoin also and when the latter slump down, so is the Ethereum. Ethereum  low prices means it is cheaper to buy the token and investor is losing here. It greatly affects the project, in terms of its dollar equivalent.

there is no way out, the only way to get past all this is to accept that. they can't do anything if it's related to price. You should have known this.
