From reading this my understanding is that your right about your key...its trash. Nobody but Mt.Gox knows the key stored in your yubikey. Lol knowing gox that probably means just about anyone could know. Note to anyone with funds in gox: Do not throw away your yubikey. Its only trash if you are 100% sure you have no recoverable funds on gox.
