Title: Never trust to ico trackers
Post by: Torontello on September 17, 2018, 08:52:23 AM
I want to share how any ICO could gain best rates on one of the most popular ICO listing site: Icobench.

The icobench rate is calculated based on two main parts:
a) benchy robot (bot)
b) experts evaluations

1) The main share of total rate is provided by a Benchy robot which automatically tracks ICO medium channels performance. ICO could easily deceive this robot by just posting every 4 hours (during 24 hours) any (no matter what quality) posts on its medium, facebook, twitter, telegram and bitcointalk channels.

2) ICO can buy for 1-3 ETH the opinions of high rang experts. These 'experts' will give 5-5-5 evaluation even not reading the WP.
Often, these 'experts', intentionally rate your project with poor rates so that you contact them in linked directly and offer a bribe.

So, when you learn how Icobench is working you will never trust its rates

Thank you for this information. But in my opinion, ICObench is the best of ICO trackers. If you have an experience in checking ICO, you will avoid almost scam ICO from ICObench.

It seems to me that everyone understands that the credibility of such sites already says that people are not competent in respect of crypto currency because such things clearly can not correspond to the truth.

indeed it is fitting that we do not trust and also follow it, because it is a hoax that is able to sedate people to follow all their teachings.

I disagree with you. icobench is one of the best ico trackers. we should not consider icobench not good if we don't understand well about their performance. for icobench it is still one of the best ico trackers.

It always happens when sites like these get too big and introduce their own ratings, that are meaningless.
It's too big of a business not to take advantage of to be honest.

Even if I think that every website that is rating ICO is not trusted ICOBENCH is one of most well known and I always take a look at this before investing to make a comparison.

Bunch of scam icos have already listed on ico bench and it's such a horrible ico rating site. they are paying the site to get listed on there and make fake review and rating about their icos. This has already happened in so many times.
It's not based on the community's choice and that's why this site is lack of transparency.

Yeah, actually, to believe the ICO should not only based on the ICO rating from any kinds of sites. I myself don't believe the ICO rating from Icobench and other site rating systems. We must be careful by analyzing the ICO based on:
1. COncept and presentation on Whitepaper
It is very important as we will understand about the exact project by reading and learning their WP
2. Team
It is crucial to analyze whether the team members are real or not and are trusted or not as the team and developers of the projects
3. Community channel
It can be seen from how they interact, communicate, and also share their projects in their community. It can be through the telegram channel, FB, Twitter, and other social media channel.

I do not believe in ICObench's ratings any time soon, as this website can use the money to increase its rating, so most of the potential projects are due to be paid for the score. Currently, I only trust ICOholder, a website review ICO projects are very objective and accurate, updated continuously, especially the campaigns that buy rating will show signs for investors.

In this market you can't trust nobody, in the past those "experts websites" put high ratings for some ICO, and guess what? After the end of the ICO a scam exit happend.
I remember this one https://icobench.com/ico/denaro/ratings#ratings, but happened for many others ICOs.

Every service which provides rating system for ICOs could be manipulated in different ways. It's well known fact.
So before investing do your own research. Never trust anyone blindly.

I was actually using ICO Bench as a way to pick my signature bounties.  I selected a highly rated project I think it was a 4.8 out of 5.  It crashed and burned immediately.  I'm planning on just reading the bounty section until I find what I think is a great idea.  The industry has gone full on scam so no one has any idea on what is legit or not.

Though I don't know how much you are right, but no doubt ICObench is the leading ICO rating toll website. 92% of their listed ICO got success, it means a lot. If you are right then I don't care though thank you for the information. Because by trusting on ICObench I found something useful and profit also.

Awesome post. In some ways can't blame them, and in the long term practices like this will be phased out. Part of the problem is that there is no such thing as "ICO Expert" - domain experts in the company's industry should be trusted to judge the quality of the product instead of people who just look for checkmarks like team, social media presence, etc that any bot could do

From onset I had serious reservation and doubt about the credibility of these ICO raters or trackers there had been a widespread allegations of bribery of those trackers sites with the exception of few of them with a good reputations especially Icobench its high time we expose and do away the fraudulent ICO trackers in order to sanitize the system.

sucks how these 'experts' abuse there power to get money out of it makes it harder to find the decent ico's

yes you should never trust the opinion of anyone else no matter how much of an expert they claim that they are. People can be bought and a lot the icos pay them to give good reviews about their projects and to steer people in their direction, that does not mean that the project they are talking about are good so just do your own research

Then I do not understand why some projects have an average rating or lower, do they really feel sorry for a few ETH for a good evaluation from an expert?
