Title: If Facebook promotes cryptocurrency, would it positively promote it?
Post by: SnowAugustine on September 17, 2018, 11:05:45 AM
I've read that Facebook is going to have its cryptocurrency https://cryptobriefing.com/ready-for-facebook-coin/
Since Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg as an entity is highly influential, do you think it would bring crypto in a positive light? I am thinking that it may raise awareness of cryptocurrency as a whole and not just bitcoin.

Facebook actively promoting a cryptocurrency (its altcoin) and Facebook promoting cryptocurrency are 2 different things. If anything, a Facebook linked cryptocurrency will be worse than fiat - you will have absolutely no privacy and you can't shift these coins to any other organization. I really don't care whether Facebook starts its own currency or not.

That could be possible for facebook to promote cryptocurrency and I believe it will be positive in results ,for facebook of many followers there could be possibilty that facebook users will adopt crypto because of the promotions of cryptocurrency in this social media which has millions of users.

Alll true but perhaps relevant is that wechat bucks are the most popular cryptocurrency on the planet with ten billion or so transactions per day, so the social media companies still have real sway in terms of what currency we use (we use the worst one we can, Gresham's law).

well, facebook is one of the most popular social media platform in the world and i think facebook promoting crypto can be possible since facebook is reversing its ban on some cryptocurrency ads. facebook will now allow some preapproved advertisers to promote crypto businesses and services, like exchanges.

I think Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg have nothing to gain by running their own crypto-currency. Facebook is a highly centralized company, while the most successful crypto currencies are decentralized money by definition. So these two aspects are incompatible.

So, no, I don't think their will be a Facebook crypto. They could have accepted and implemented some form of crypto payment if they wanted to do so already. But they obviously don't want to do that.

However, Mark Zuckerberg is not stupid, and he knows the potential of the crypto space. For example, he has already expressed interest in acquiring Coinbase.

If Facebook is back in promoting cryptocurrency, of course this is very good because Facebook is one of the most social media users at the moment, hopefully with Facebook again in displaying the crypto world it can warm up the price of bitcoin now again down.

That's true. Facebook absolutely has no reason to launch their own cryptocurrency. I can't imagine any benefit for Facebook by launching their own crypto yet they will have tons of legal issue if they really launch it. So that rumor is very very unlikely to happen.

What they did say is they're exploring the potential of blockchain for their system. Blockchain isn't just in the form of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin and alts are just one implementation of the blockchain. But even then, I doubt they could find something useful from Blockchain for their system, at least not in the near future.

By reading article it is not clear that FB has real intent to create his own digital currency, but their team is "exploring ways to leverage the power of blockchain technology", and even if they decide to move in that way (to create currency) it will take several years that this coin comes into official use.

It also say that FB have or could count on over 2 billion users, it is huge number when we compare that with total number of crypto users today - so maybe they will try to take advantage of it and make some money, at the end it is all about profit.

I think if Facebook promotes crypto currencies, this is a good thing because it can increase the growth of investment in crypto currencies, this will make crypto currency prices even better than now, I think I will support that too.

True in many ways. Because Facebook recently shown that they are against the crypto currency and they dont want to accept its promotion over the Facebook at all. They have already banned many crypto related campaigns from their platform and thus makes me think that how bad it will be if it came down to their own promotions. Who would go for buying their FB coin if they have already disappointed many crypto users at all? Mostly Facebook will look after their own benefits and thus wont allow us to transfer the funds or exchange the FBcoin or whatever they will call it to the other crypto at all. Dont know I have lot of mixed feeling about the Facebook if it ever launches any coins.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did this, considering their interest in e-commerce. They have a marketplace section for Facebook right? This would be right in line with trying to promote that. I don't know if it'd be accurate to say they're launching a cryptocurrency though, because even if they did come out with one, it's going to act more like a token, but probably with its own blockchain.

I don't think this affects Bitcoin or any other crypto in any way, considering how different this will be (centralized, controlled, etc.) if they go through with it.

It will have positive impact for their own coin but I don't think it will for crypto market as whole.
I've been speculating that they will do something in favor of them after those bans and blockchain research that they did.
But the article only says "according to insiders".

We already know that Facebook users are very many in this world, and are still actively used by many people, I think any company will also use Facebook for advertising or promotion, because it will quickly be known by many people, as well as cryptocurrency if advertised by Facebook but Ad content must also be positive, good and support cryptocurrency

I think Facebook will launch its own cryptonya to keep up with current digital developments, of course it will have a positive effect on the public, so it can attract other investors to know more about cryptocurrency, depending on the Facebook team that manages it well, progress is still open to them who wants to fight in this scope.

If FB introduced their own crypto it would probably be a catalyst for higher prices in the short-term.  However, any lasting effect it would have would depend on the nature of said FB-introduced currency, and it's features/ level of adoption.

Usually thru the social media usually it hits the target but in the same time it can have a negative impact thru the quality of the info. Usually the promoted information are not very rich.

Honestly, I didn't like that site cause I really cannot read the article, I need put my email to read that site it's very annoying. Facebook has a plan to made their own cryptocurrency and this plan has been known by many user in this forum. Well, Facebook has a lot of capital and this social media already has many users, and I guess by promoting that Facebook will make their own cryptocurrency just in their platform, I am very sure that many users will be interested in having their currency.

Suckerberg has just an interest in cryptocurrencies but going up to say FakebookCoin is coming soon is a little exaggerating. The fact is, he is more interested in the blockchain technology than the cryptocurrency. Even if he creates an altcoin it will be a centralized one and only used on the Facebook platform. While you can say Facebook has multi-millions users, the percentage interested to use the money on Facebook is surely very very low. People are just interested to use Facebook to complain and to post cute cats picture btw.

Or he is probably waiting for someone to steal the idea from....

It depends on the mass response when Facebook makes its own cryptocurrency, but based on crypto advertising bans, especially on ICOs, I'm not sure of the news, even though Facebook has said positive things about biitcoin and blockchain

There are many who are already wary of Facebook but still I think the majority of its population would follow/buy whatever it is selling. They are really influential. If online stores could sell useless items just using their ads, imagine what they could do if they promote their own crypto.

Of course Facebook in these days is the most usable social media site all over the world. If Facebook wants to promote cryptocurrency, people will blindly trust their currency because it is an authentic site and people trust it the most. The value of Facebook currency may be more than bitcoin because bitcoin is controlled by someone in wrong direction.

I think he is asking about Facebook’s own currency because I also heard that they want to create their own crypto in the coming days, and that was the reason that they banned other currencies on Facebook. To some extent it is good because the people will have another authentic and reliable currency for future investment. Facebook currency will make its position in the market very soon.

crypto in a positive light?

Any light would be good so in that sense you can say various publicity by very large companies would amount to a positive.   However its extremely unlikely Facebook creates a proper independant currency, they are more likely to take the Ripple XRP route which is horribly centralised control.  Its just far too tempting to cut out all that mining part and work and transmission in hands of people not on the companies agenda.

I cant imagine Facebook handling freedom of all users to choose their own path with their creation.   They will always gift bias to themselves, I've not heard of zuckerberg being especially idealistic and BTC is a kind of dream made real still unfolding

This is actually a huge possibility. Although Facebook went through a lot of issues with data privacy, Cambridge Analytica, Zuckerberg just being alien-like, people still continue to patronize it and it continues to thrive. It seems to me that whatever it promotes, it just sells.

with the presence of various blockchain platforms, I think that makes blockchain and crypto technology more familiar to the public

That news was out some months ago and it was rumoured to be facecoin. I do not know why it is still not out  yet. If it happens that will help boost cryptocurrency and make it more popular because of the spread Facebook has. The coin is going to be used for all Facebook advert payments.

It will raise awareness as they will call their coin as a "crypto" and that will give exposure to the facebook users that they have cryptocurrency. And by that time they announce it, they are giving an idea to the people on what crypto is.

And this also gives the idea the facebook is supporting cryptocurrencies and this is where they are heading after announcing the support of blockchain.

There is already a lot of promotion that has to do with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on Facebook, and I was once seeing them on Instagram too. So this is not a new thing, they were doing it before they banned binary options and cryptocurrency promotion on their platform, which they later reversed.

I don’t think there is something else we all can do, enough has been done, everyone has their own business and you can’t force them to invest in Bitcoin, they will only do so when they feel like.

I think it can bring crypto into positive and it can make their member see more about cryptocurrency. I think this can help crypto to spread in many people which lives in many places so at least, they can learn from the Facebook, and they can search on the other website to find what they need. And if the other sites can do the same as Facebook, I am sure that cryptocurrency can become globally and cryptocurrency can grow fast in the future. I think this is another promotion about cryptocurrency that Facebook can do although they want to introduce their crypto to the public its help cryptocurrency to grows more.

If Facebook promotes electronic money, it has its own positive and negative side. If the social networking sites promote this market, the number of people will be extremely popular and it will attract strong interest from investors. But besides that, some elements use this promotion to commit fraud, multi-level and terrorist financing through Bitcoin and other codewords.

If Facebook has its own cryptocurrency then surely it will have a good impact on cryptocurrency and bitcoin. Because so far I only know if the crypto market increases it is definitely bitcoin will also increase, in contrast to altc which sometimes does not fully follow market movements due to lack of enthusiasm in the altc. But anyway, Facebook is the biggest social media that has a very positive effect on things.

I don't know what will happen if Facebook itself has a coin, is this really going to happen. considering Facebook is a private privacy-based social media.
and how will it be with the Facebook Champaign program? it's not funny if Facebook already has a coin, while inside it promotes new coin / ico.

If this will happened it can help to promote the cryptocurrency since most of the people are into social media sites. People can easily trust the cryptocurrency since facebook has credibility of endorsing only those verified and true cryptocurrency. Many people are influence to invest with cryptocurrency.

I agree that it will bring crypto in a positive light. After previously Facebook imposed a comprehensive ban on all crypto ads on its platform, now its attitude has softened and made crypto prices rise.
According to what I read, Facebook is said to focus on using cryptocurrency specifically to facilitate payments on the platform. Facebook is also called investigating other ways to utilize digital currency and the underlying blockchain technology. This plan is increasingly visible after Facebook overhauled its executive structure and formed a new blockchain division some time ago. Like many other companies, Facebook is exploring ways to harness the power of blockchain technology.
In fact, there is news about the Line that will launch cryptocurrencies competing Bitcoin. with a very large number of users, maybe Facebook also wants to take advantage of promoting cryptocurrencies or creating cryptocurrencies themselves like Line.

I've also heard that bitcoin and other crypto are prohibited to promote by Mark Zuckerberg, but if for example Facebook voters can promote bitcoin then people in this world will certainly know and for the development of bitcoin can also run smoothly

Well, if Facebook starts advertising cryptocurrency, I think that is one of their support. well, for now, it seems like Facebook is starting to support the development of crypto. I just hope something best happens.
There's no need for them to start advertising.

Remember on how they remove the ban of crypto advertisement?

Facebook Backpedals, Reverses Ban on Cryptocurrency Ads (https://www.ccn.com/facebook-backpedals-reverses-ban-on-cryptocurrency-ads/)

And that's the early indication that they are supporting crypto plus the news that came out that they hired a blockchain expert.

Yes, I see that Facebook can positively promote crypto, and negatively as well. We all know for a fact that social media is a very powerful tool to build and to destroy something or someone. With just few clicks, everybody around the globe would know about who or what you are advertising, promoting, criticizing, etc. This positive promotions of Facebook for crypto is evident in the amount of funds raised during an ICO. If not, then there wouldn't be Facebook campaign in bounties. And to add the fact that Zuckenberg is also a very influential person in this era. His recent remarks and position on crypto will definitely have a significant impact in the crypto world.

If Facebook start promoting cryptocurrency  then we don't need any government help to support it. Since almost everyone is now connecting with bitcoins. More than 80% of people are using Facebook and if it happen then everyone invest with it.

Would it ? Are you crazy, I know facebook might be getting not so much popularity among young people but think about it they have both channels capturing every single detail about every single person. They can focus on young people on instagram and try to capture their attention and bring them to bitcoin plus they can use facebook to promote to elderly and promote it for them.

I am not talking about just advertising, this company knows every single detail about you, there is no way they can't create a customer out of you, if they want to focus they can find millions of customers in just days with just those two platforms.

It might cause a threat for them in the way that people might learn cryptos then perceive the existence of Bitcoin first then at that point, people might change their minds in choosing Bitcoin over their provided cryptocurrency. I never thought of buying Facebook stock once, so seeing this as their way of promoting cryptos indirectly in my own point of view might cause a bit of disadvantage for them.

Apparently, if Facebook can come up with their own coin, it is definite to see a promotion from that angle and that certainly shows how companies and organizations are beginning to see the advantage and importance that the blockchain technology brings to them. I really would not expect Facebook to just wake up one single morning and be putting up their promotion for cryptocurrency, but at least, with what I said, it should be a good start.

Yes, I see that Facebook can positively promote crypto, and negatively as well. We all know for a fact that social media is a very powerful tool to build and to destroy something or someone.
Social media may be a very powerful tool for promotion, but certainly Facebook Inc. itself will not just start declaring their interest for cryptocurrencies just like that, unless probably they come up with their own cryptocurrency and then projecting the usage out there and the benefit it brings to the users, and in that way, I believe that should still somehow create some awareness for it in the long run and probably make it more like still promoting the crypto space anyway.

First off, it's not even confirmed if Facebook is actually planning to have its crypto. Facebook doesn't need a crypto for its platform, so it's weird if they actually go ahead and have their own cryptocurrency.

Now, even if they do, it's not going to affect a lot. It's very subjective actually. If the coin is used for a popular means, then who knows, more people will buy or use crypto. Otherwise the affect is gonna be negligible.

On what basis? That Facebook promotes cryptocurrency ? In your wildest dreams. Firstly, this is even a very vague thing to be expecting Facebook to just all of a sudden decide to start campaigning for the cryptocurrency space, except of course, they just end up having their own coins, and even at that, I guess they will find the need to campaign for their own coins instead.

Yeah, campaigning for cryptocurrencies at large, would increase awareness, but at the end of the day, it is not like it would make that so much impact than if the space is perceived for its real life usage and being adopted based on that.

And if this is the success, perhaps, the other big company like Google, Yahoo and else will consider starting their coin too, and this will make the cryptocurrency grow more than today. And the mission of the cryptocurrency to introduce to all people will grow too.

A positive or a negative promotion is itself a good promotion to capture the market. People in the current market expect to know every aspect of the business you start with. Yes i do accept positive promotions brings more business into the market, but negative promotions keep strong marketers back. To  have steady and potential growth we do require marketers with stable business. The way facebook promotes crypto currencies, depends on how crypto currencies favor facebook. If Facebook is confident on crypto, they would certainly support it by either promoting it positively or creating its own crypto currency.

Other than that, it has its positive moment in increasing overall Crypto popularity - if FB itself turned their attention to it, it will surely bring more people to the market.

Yes, facebook promoting cryptocurrency will definitely create more awarness,,and ultimately promote it existence and use in the global world, Facebook post has over the years has being use to generate awarness for project, this has helped to attract investors to be convince to join the ICO.
Facebook is the largest social network in the world so neesy Facebook publicly allows the cryptocurrency advertising is certainly a very good signal for this market. With the current popularity of cryptocurrency, I think that the major social networks in the world will accept the promotion of cryptocurrency.

It will gain exposure to blockchain and cryptocurrencies. You know its facebook and when there are companies like this that supports an idea, people are going to believe what they are saying.

If it is for raising the awareness yes but when they come up to an idea of making their own coin for sure they will work very hard for its own promotion.

I agree with you because they were too influential to most social media's platform, they can tell what they wanted to tell to everyone but they really have to work hard if they want to make their own crypto currency and a lot of people on the other platform are doing it. He might get questioned again if there's something with his crypto currency in his platform.  ;D

Since Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg as an entity is highly influential, do you think it would bring crypto in a positive light? I am thinking that it may raise awareness of cryptocurrency as a whole and not just bitcoin.
Hoping the facebook would not ban the account that was promoting different ICO because nowadays facebook became strict than the usual, so that crypto currency would became more popular all over the world so they will not think that virtual currency was not legit at all time, If the owner of the facebook adopt it I wonder what the virtual currency now.

They are the most popular social media so that really makes sense to say that there's an impact to the crowd.

They aren't only operating to a single location but they cater the world's entire target market. Though they are facing some security issues lately that's probably the hint that they should start and focus with innovation integrated with blockchain and start accepting sponsorship payments through crypto.

Whether positive or negative, if Facebook is willing to accept money to advertise crypto currency or even use crypto currency in exchange for internet service and or premium content then it doesn't matter. It will blow up on everyone's face and people will now get to see Crypto currency in the works and maybe join in.

I think if Facebook starts to promote cryptocurrency, it will bring a new investor to join in the cryptocurrency because we know that Facebook has a large member from all over the world. It will help the mass adoption for the cryptocurrency because people who are online on Facebook will see the ads about crypto and they will search more in many websites. This will makes cryptocurrency become popular and will raise the number of people and finally, they will join us.

That could be possible for facebook to promote cryptocurrency and I believe it will be positive in results ,for facebook of many followers there could be possibilty that facebook users will adopt crypto because of the promotions of cryptocurrency in this social media which has millions of users.

Yes this is true. Facebook is a huge community in which even the other generation rather than the current generation is engaging into it. Therefore we can really say that it might affect big time. Probably it will encourage more users if it happens. Hoping for it to happen.

Facebook having its own crypto is very unlikely. Their platform is free, when they integrate cryptocurrencies to it, it automatically becomes monetized--which is bad since their selling point is many people joining it.

I think it would definitely support it positively. As long as facebook is looking to get bigger and find a way to
get the market cap of their company bigger they are going to want to make everything hyped up. Which means if
facebook wants to buy coinbase or even make money from just advertisement than it means that they will have to
promote it positively so they can get more and more money.

How much money do you think could be made from negatively promoting coins compared to positively promoting it. If facebook accepts crypto ads than they can make even more money and eventually buy coinbase which would increase their marketcap by a lot.

But right now facebook is not allow anybody to advertise cryptocurrency in Facebook because many people complaining about the scam crypto they participate.  think its better if we know what crypto we advertise because many people are interested to it but they have enough knowledge that's why they get scam.

There are a lot of such advertising platforms whicb promotes various things and services infront of the community. What i think is facebook has now been grown to the largest platform with the maximum community and also is a good medium to reach out maximum peoples.

There were some news about facebook and google banning the advertisements for the ICO sales. I am not sure that they even banned the advertisements for cryptocurrencies itself but hopefully they can still be promoted there.

Also if facebook promotes cryptocurrencies i think it can really make a positive impact on the community as many new peoples who are been digitized but not yet introduced to cryptocurrencies can have an opportunity to enter the cryptocurrencies.

It is possible, but as to what purpose should these coins for Facebook serves would be a big question. Even if the person pushing the project is influential but the project is not good, it will just go to waste. It is for this reason that projects display White Paper on their sites to let us see the plans or road map and not just who push the idea. As to the positive understanding of the cryptocurrency, Facebook may be able to push any promotion as easy as delivering a package to the door steps.

For me it wouldn't make any difference if Facebook promotes Crypto-Currency, especially through their own currency. They are a centralized platform well known by censoring contents that displease their ideology and Crypto-Currency represents exactly the opposite in my opinion. It's not a surprise they would want to enjoy Crypto's trend at some point, like many other companies will also want to do this.

Second, Facebook's income will increase because there is another income from Crypto owned by Facebook.

I think facebook entry into the Crypto market does not bring too many good things. Because many ICO projects are being advertised at facebook but many ICOs still fail. The main reason is that the market is currently bottoming out and making many investors frustrated. We need a great deal of capital to keep the market in a positive state.

Any kind of promotion whether its positive or negative, is itself a good promotion to conquer the market. People in the current market expect to know ever aspect of the business you start with. I do accept that the positive promotions bring more business into the market then the negative promotions. Negative promotions keep strong marketers in the market. To have steady and potential growth, we require such marketers to have stable business.  The way facebook promotes crypto currencies, depends no how crypto currencies favor facebook. IF Facebook believes in icrypto;s growth, they would certainly support it by either promoting it positively or creating its own crypto currency.

We can say there is always this positive and negative promotion. Facebook is used worldwide and a lot of individual have the access to it. Many marketing strategist use social media to spread and promote their product even for cyptos. But it can also spread FUD that will give the negative picture. That is why we shouldnt believe most of the article in the social media (and this is really confusing). We also should be aware that scams are also in this platform.

I think even Facebook promotes bitcoin and other cryptocurrency in a positive way, there will be still a lot of people who will have a negative impact to cryptocurrency because they still believe that cryptocurrency is all about tricking people to invest their money with it or scam.

facebook had never been against cryptocurrency it was against advert of ICOs. The decision to use it as a tool for advert of scam ICOs had been of concern, so social media  is trying to distance themselves of been part of it. It really worked because of the large audience that was reduced. Individuals credibility was also at risk while campaigning but was effective on their audience.

yes there are people who are scared to take the risk when they heard that money is needed to buy these cryptocurrency , first think that comes to their minds is scam because they dont see cryptos in real life  but if someone introduced it to them and educate them properly about the pros and cons of using a crypto for sure they wont hesitate to try it out .

Yet in reality ,  facebook wont never promote such cryptos or any other business that isnt connected to them but we can  pay them so that they will advertise our ads as soon as its ilegal

The crypto market is largely affected by people or platforms with large community or followers. A platform like facebook host billions of people and as such, if Facebook or its founder, Zuckerberg decides to promote facebook, it will be one of the effective ways of creating awareness for the crypto market. This will draw a lot of investors to the crypto space.

I mean whether or not Facebook promotes or bash crypto currency as long as crypto currency is talked about then it is a great and free publicity for crypto currency and people will be curious about it and will eventually join in.

the really a big traffic but chances of increasing popularity would still be questionable because it would depend on how users would react into such thing.
We wont know but high chances there would really be some significant impact.

In short, I think crypto will get a lot of positive points when facebook starts promoting crypto and bitcoin on their platform, especially with the permission of the government but when things grow so fast, the government will begin to penetrate this market and take control of it. That would make unreasonable rules start appearing, users will pay taxes and with very high tariffs, crypto will no longer be an attractive destination for everyone, this is probably something that people will never want to see

That could be possible for facebook to promote cryptocurrency and I believe it will be positive in results ,for facebook of many followers there could be possibilty that facebook users will adopt crypto because of the promotions of cryptocurrency in this social media which has millions of users.

It seems to me that years ago, Facebook is promoting altcoins though now it is banned because of some reason still there are some altcoins that allowed to advertised in Facebook. Promoting cryptocurrency in facebook is a very good idea because Facebook is a world wide social media that we use everyday. Once we used it to promote cryptocurrency many people will encourage and be curious about it.

We are way past the awareness phase of cryptocurrencies at least when it comes to bitcoin and other powerful altcoins, most people in the US, Asia and Europe already know that bitcoin exists, what we need now is adoption and that is a slower and more difficult process since people are not going to adopt them unless they feel they need to do it and as of now that is not the case.

Facebook does not promote cryptocurrency by itself, it’s not their job. They are just a social media platform. It’s only cryptocurrency companies that pays Facebook to promote their cryptocurrencies, that’s it. Just like you will also do when you want to promote your product online, Facebook can’t just promote it for you, you pay them first and they do the job.

It makes a positive view in cryptocurrency though it is not 100% guaranteed that people will follow. However, it may spread the name of cryptocurrency to all people around the world since many people are using facebook as the primary source of information. On other hand, Mark Zuckerberg does not want to advertise ICOs in Facebook. In fact, he wanted to ban all of ICO because it may bring harm to the people.

If ever facebook still promoting cryptos, i believe that developers will use social media to widely promote their products to consumers. Facebook maybe banning cryptos because it is used to spread scam. We all know that there are billion of users worldwide facebook have. This is a good opportunity to gather all the investors and these scammers will have a lot of chance to promote their products.

but what is happening now, many ico are promoted through facebook and public trust is still low, which is being chained at a price that continues to decline. but indeed Facebook is one of the strategic media to market cryptocurrency, but it will be better if supported by other factors, so that synergies occur

I've read if Facebook will release crypto itself, if it's done right then it's certain we will see the crypto market which continues to increase because of the new crypto that has a large community in it. Facebook is one of the biggest platforms, so it will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the crypto market.

As one of the most influential and most visited social networking sites in the world, it can help us to easier connect and share with family and friends online. With the purpose to make the world more open and connected, it can be one of the best venue to promote Bitcoin and show our strong support with it. However, it can't be avoided that sometimes there are misleading information, it's very important that we know how to filter authentic news from the fake ones. We should learn to expand our resources to determine from what source the news are coming from. Not only with Facebook, we must be very cautious, do more research and investigation, and don't be fooled with untrusted and unknown sources.

Positive and negative news or comments that are posted on Facebook or in social media about Bitcoin can have huge impact of the price depending on the element of the context. If it gets the attention of the public, it will likely to increase or decrease its demand. More will become interested to be part of Bitcoin family if they get to know well what this technology is all about. Facebook is a tool that we can use not only for simply posting, hitting like button, and sharing but it's with a purpose. We can responsibly utilize this tool to spread awareness and by educating the public the real essence of cryptocurrency for them to be guided.

Nah, that’s not going to happen. I do see cryptocurrency ads on Facebook sometimes when I login, if that’s the case, then a lot of people would have chosen to use cryptocurrency by now. And Dave book releasing their own cryptocurrency wouldn’t make any difference cause it will still be volatile as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Well I think it will definitely bring positive impact on either his cryptocurreny or all cryptocurrencies in the market. Facebook being one of the largest social media sites in the world gives me no doubt on the success of it's own cryptocurrency. But I guess we don't have guarantee yet that it will also promote bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies positively.

Whatever it is all about the promotion of cryptocurrency, definitely it would bring positive and negative effect. Finding out those pros and cons may or may not help us weigh in the situation as to what decision we are going to make. And I think that on the first note, Facebook will absolutely have a significance on cryptocurrency awareness matter that will positively promote the cryptocurrency since Facebook has become one of the most well-known and most-used social media sites. However, we should not forget that privacy issues will certainly arise. And this is one big issue here since privacy plays very important part in the cryptocurrency world.

Infact if any of the social media starts promoting it today many youngsters use the social media they would be able to check how crypto currency has evolved and its future use. This will definite be the best thing to happen.

If facebook create their own cryptocurrency, its could be top 10 in cryptocurrency market. With large member around the world, facebook because influence social media and people will attract to hold facebook crypto

If they make their own currency, they will definitely start from a very strong position. However, I doubt that Facebook needs its own coin. I think that it would be far more simple and cost-effective for him to adopt one of the already well-developed crypto.
I disagree if for some reason Facebook feels the need to develop their own coin they will not leave their future in the hands of strangers, they are going to want to have complete control of their own coin but while doing that will give to it instant popularity among people at the same time they are going to be unable to win over the institutional investors since investing in that coin will be the same as investing in Facebook.

It effectively adcertise cryptocurrency such as bitcoin and if ever they will bring their own crypto  I think people's choice will be part.

Facebook will definitely bring positive result in terms of promote cryptocurrency since it the one number used online social media and I dont see any reason for the negative effect or privacy issues since we're not going crypto transaction through facebook. Base on research and studies, I see facebook as a way of find legit and genuine ICOs because must of the ICOs you'll find on facebook are ICOs which provide facebook admin their genuine document of operation.
This is why one was scam through ICOs on facebook?

Yes, I believe if facebook is going to create their crypto currency it will be centralized coin but i dont see any reason why facebook we hold an ICOs or need people to invest in their coin since they have private company which did advertise using their platform and those advertiser will be the one to buy their token as payment to facebook or facebook users just like those crypto exchange site that have their own coin did.

It will be very good for crypto development if Facebook promotes it. If Facebook promotes crypto, of course many people will know because Facebook is a very large social media application, so many people will see it. This will be very good with the development of crypto, but in my opinion, of course there will be a negative side. The negative side is that crypto scams can enter, if people see them and are interested they will do harm. And it will expand the spread of crypto scams. But if Facebook can prevent crypto scams, this will certainly be better. There will definitely be a positive side as well as a negative side.

Lol. First, it is unlikely that we will see Bitcoin having a ETF. I doubt that SEC will approve it next year, the market is still prone to manipulation so that's a big problem for SEC.

And as far as Facebook, no way will Mark Z. promote bitcoin or other crypto for that matter. He might have his own crypto coins and take advantage of blockchain technology.

The Facebook-owned cryptocurrency would be pretty much centralized. I can't think it would directly benefit the cryptocurrencies ecosystem itself, but indirectly if there is a chance Facebook's cryptocurrency able to gain mainstream attention, it would help mainstream to trigger their curiosity about cryptocurrency as a whole.

I don't think they could get a lot of that attention from the people who are using their platform. We all know that people are only using Facebook because it is on the trend and more than that people use it too as a mean of posting ideas, information and other related news all over the world. It can help for ICO projects, news about crypto become more popular and widely available in countries around the world. traffic is only high but the actual number of people that will try it is possibly low because people arent aware about these cryptocurrency especially ico's . the issue of ico scams lately can also add to the negative effects that people will look up before they consider to invest on it  and if ever facebook will have thier own crypto , we cant expect that they will also allow other ico or crypto adverts because they will only see it as a threat or rival to their own product  .

Facebook coming into the crypto space is big plus and this will set a pace for other social media such Twitter, Instagram, etc.to come on board in the crypto space. Facebook has large coverage on the global community which help to enhance the orientation and educate her audience on the use of digital currency and thus will remove the uncertainty of the future of crypto currency asset. If Facebook successfully launched their own coin there will be great and fast adoption of crypto asset.
